Don't Get Your Windshield Chip Repaired Here Don't let the lower price fool you. Spend a little more and get your windshield chip repaired professionally. My initial quote was $65 for a repair that would take approximately 30 minutes. I agreed to the price and brought my vehicle to the shop. An assistant started the repair, and although I'm no expert, I noticed there was no attempt to wipe down the area or remove any dust around the chip. I figured maybe that was normal, so I let him proceed. He drilled into the chip, which I understand is a standard part of the process. However, when he attached the injector bridge with the suction cup, it was clearly not adhering properly to the windshield. Throughout the process, I watched the suction cup repeatedly come loose and move around, making me question whether it was maintaining a proper seal. He also used a lighter to heat the glass from underneath, assuring me that this was normal procedure. He eventually applied the filler resin, covered it with clear curing film, and scraped it off after about a minute. The entire repair took approximately six minutes, excluding the curing time. The result? Absolutely no visible improvement. The star-shaped crack looked exactly the same as it did when I arrived. I talked to the owner afterwards to express my concerns. He told me that sometimes a chip repair looks the same even after the repair is completed. I'm not a professional, but I would expect the work area to be cleaned properly and reasonable precautions to be taken to prevent contamination during the repair. To his credit, the owner offered me a refund, which was appreciated. Looking back, I probably should have accepted it. However, I wanted the chip repaired, so I gave him an opportunity to fix it himself. While he worked on it, I researched whether a failed resin repair could be corrected. I learned that once resin has cured inside a chip, attempting another repair can be difficult because the existing resin may prevent additional resin from properly penetrating the damaged area. After approximately 12 minutes, including about eight minutes of curing time, the second attempt actually made the windshield look worse. The additional drilling left what now looks like a tiny, pen-tip-sized white hole in the glass. This entire experience was frustrating and a waste of both time and money. Although the owner initially offered a refund, I believe he should have carefully assessed the damage before attempting a second repair, especially after the first attempt had failed to produce any visible improvement. UPDATE: reached out to Jay and he refused to provide me with a refund on his botched repair. read more

I was in there a 2 months ago because of my front windshield looked like the rubber at the top melted on my red Honda . I went in I think he was the owner very nice and professional. He put some black glue on the spot were the rubber was and told me to leave the tape on for 3 days. It was just say thank you sir for such great service. read more

I have a health condition that hinders me from the heat and direct sunlight, so I needed my front two windows a darker tint, plus I added the "ceramic". Why did I wait 10 years to get my windshield replace when All American Auto made it so easy! Called around to other places before settling on All American because they were the cheapest. I had to bring 2 cars to them because why not and they both needed it. They were able to take both cars in 1 day (I make an appointment) and it took about 5 hours all together. It was great! Jay and his team are absolute rock stars and I will definitely be back and recommend this place to anyone needing any glass replacement. I have a Dodge Ram (my husband's pride and joy) and he wanted a legit windshield brand new like from mopar or something. So I asked Jay and he said he could definitely get an original windshield but we would be paying almost double for the Ram logos. So we went with the "basic" (lack of a better word) windshield and I'm so glad we did. You can't even tell a difference, there's no quality difference and it's a windshield. When my wife arrived, Jake wasn't there and Jay (the owner) suddenly decided not to honor the agreed price and tried to charge $250 instead. That kind of bait-and-switch pricing is unacceptable. Had a rock chip my window yesterday morning, hadn't spread yet but I wanted to get it handled ASAP. I originally had scheduled with Safelite (who wound up telling me they couldn't do it because my windshield is tinted). I yelped locally and found All American Auto Glass. Called them up around 4:30pm and asked if I could bring my car in. He said to come on over! I showed up around 4:45 expecting it to be a half hour or more. I really thought I would be satisfied with the service here because of the reviews- I even got quoted prices from 6 different places (including the dealership) but when I say I should have just gone with the dealership for an extra $100 I mean that. I'm honestly beyond annoyed with the way this whole situation was handled. Like others, a rock hit our windshield and within a week the crack grew to half of the windshield size. I went in with a Hyundai Santa Fe 2024. I called and even messaged ahead of time. Got quoted a way lower price on yelp (close to $500) and when I called I got quoted $200 more. Then when I asked why if it's for the sensors and such they said yes. . I'm not going to pretend like I know what to ask-because I don't. I dropped it off- went off without a hitch. Picked it up & then- as I'm driving home I notice my heads up display is looking off...it's like I'm seeing double. So I'm thinking they calibrated poorly- maybe it'll be a quick fix. But My husband calls later and BOOM. We are told it's because it's an after market glass/windshield and that's why the heads up display isn't clear, & he has the audacity to ask "Do you guys even use it" YES. We do- also why not mention any of this beforehand?!!! And whoever he was on the phone with- I'm assuming Jay, the manager because there was only one person we dealt with all day- Said they could see if they could order another..we wait and the only place who will sell them one that isn't after market is...you guessed it the Hyundai Dealership. And we would only get charged for the glass which was about $475 which would've brought my grand total to $1200 after taxes. And once we say "hey-we won't take up the offer of you guys ordering that glass..." he said "ok,but also you know you can turn that of right? I don't know why people drive with it on" That is not the point- the point is- I, the customer who just dropped $700 uses it. DAILY. I honestly feel ripped off. Taken advantage of due to mine and my husband's ignorance but trust me the next time I need a window replaced on my vehicle- I'll just take it to the dealer. Man I'm worried about the results. I arrived with an agreed upon price of 422. I made an appointment for Monday at noon. I arrived and they tried to charge me mid 500's then they proceeded to tell me that they would honor the original price. Further told me 2 hours repair time. I returned after two hours. They say nothing to me. I proceed to wait another 30 minutes still nothing then they finally come out and tell me that it's gonna be another hour and a half that they have removed my windshield and realize that they did not have the correct one to put into the Vehicle. This became a five hour deal and almost overcharged over $100. Yikes! Not happy. I would think they check before removing the windshield and trapping the customer. We'll update 1 hour later I've now been told it's going to be another hour and a half. I have never experienced such a horrible experience with any business in my life! They have no time est on my car at all! I live 45 min away! Sadly, I was recommended to this place and now after this, we have all decided to take our business elsewhere read more

Living in downtown riverside definitely has its pros and cons. Parking is a big con if you're not parking in your apartment building. Your car is definitely open to an assortment of hazards. My car was vandalized over the weekend and I called a few places in the area to replace the quarter window in the back. All American Auto was quick to respond and considering my options the best value. They give you the option for used or oem. The used option was what I selected. It was was $320 after taxes and it was far better than paying the insurance deductible or going w a nationwide company like Safelite which would have set me back $720.
