What a joke/lie. Recently I had all state and I was paying $148 a money for full coverage. Renewed my policy didn't click autopay missed a payment leading to policy ending. My fault so I called this place let them know why I was calling. They said some california laws have changed and would start me with liability for 30 days and after call back and they'll insure me full coverage. I made sure to ask if price would increase they said no I'll have the same 148 and they need me under their policy for 30 days . Cool haven't had any issues for over 5 years with tickets called back to get my coverage and they want to slap the monthly to $278... use my experience as a example. Called in to ask for a non-owned auto policy and I was quoted at $390 just to START the policy so I said no. MAGICALLY, they were able to get it down to $295 to start and I said no, then GUESS WHAT?! They were able to offer me a 6 month policy for $210 paid in full, lmao what?! First and foremost they the people that I've talked to have been unprofessional, rude and liars. I received a quote and provided the girl with my contact info to pay $140. After thinking about what I did thoroughly I realized it was a rip off since I'd have to pay $200-300 more. I called stating I was no longer interested. I was informed that I would need to go in person to cancel. In which I did and after signing The document for the refund, the guy stated that I would receive a refund in 3 days. It has been 5 days so I decided to call the number that was on the guys card. A rep responded in a smartass way and said there was no guy of such name. Once I mentioned his last name he said of yes , let me transfer you. Then I was transferred to another girl and she said she would have him call me. It never happened. I spoke to a "corperate" rep and he mentioned that my policy was still active etc. I mentioned how is that possible if on the document I signed clearly stated that I did not ever have a policy and I would be refunded. He said oh it takes about a week for it process. Ughh, worst experience ever. If I could rate them on a negative scale or a 0. I would. This shows that the people that I spoke to are unprofessional, liars and not willing to provide the help needed to address problems. All they care about is the money. This place is absolutely terrible with their customer service. If you're calling for a quote and they tell you, "Can I call you back?," make sure you DON'T hold your breath. They certainly do not keep their word and if you manage to do business with them make sure you completely understand what you're getting yourself into (read the small print) I didn't go ahead with them, the biggest turn away was the fact that they don't keep their word, if they don't want your business they should just flat out tell you rather than giving you false hope. We were referred to come here by my parents. Luz Ramos was so patient and very detailed with our policy. She helped us get the best price. Thank you! (: I want to update my review. A week later, I received a letter from the insurance stating that my first payment was due on the 5th, Luz Ramos clearly stated my payments would be on the 18th, since that's the day we got insurance. She then stated, we had until the 15th to make our first payment. I received a Notice of Cancellation on the 10th because my account was past due. She clearly lied to us AGAIN, and our payments are not due the 18th like she promised. When we got insurance, I asked Luz if there was a convenience fee to pay our payments online and she said no. After I made my payment, on our past due account, there was a convenience fee of $5. Not only we were lied to once or twice, but she lied to us THREE TIMES. I called in because I had to take out a car on my policy that was full coverage and just wanted a basic insurance well first of all I was paying $230 for my old policy that had one car with full coverage now I get a new one and the lady Fatima wants to charge me $300 they end up lowering it to $180 but get this I found out that it was only good for a few days because on the 24th I had to pay again $143!?? Like what?? To make things worst that Fatima lady never even gaved me her number so I can't even get ahold of her to ask why she put me that policy!?? Bunch of scammers in times like this that people are struggling is when they should help us not screw us over!! Never again will I be returning to this place or even recommend it! Freeway insurance has done me well throughout the years. Less than 70$ a month for full coverage on a 2007 RAV4 any 96 Toyota Camry. Had a couple situations today with the phone line connection but finally Saul Rodriguez came through with the excellent service in which definitely is keeping me A customer. I was a little upset for being on hold and transfers for quite some time. I hit him with a bit of anger and he still came through with my request and handled business. With such a low monthly charge I was always worried how good insurance freeway would actually pay in an accident. Found out last month they're solid. If I could give a negative one star I would- This company is the worse, they put me with Anchor insurance and they were awful. I had a guy who hit me who didn't have insurance and they basically told me I was on my own due to that fact that she had "other" policies she had to take care of. I would always have to contract Freeway to deal with issues like when they cancelled my policy because THEY lost an email I sent that they told me they got right when I sent it. Then when I was "cancelled" for that one pay period they made me start paying $30 more than what we agreed on. STAY AWAY FROM FREEWAY. I recently tried to add a vehicle to my policy, a relatively easy task, but this company made it a complete NIGHTMARE. I initially went into the Orange CA office and they added the vehicle. A week later a notice came in the mail saying the car had to be registered under my name. This should have clearly been specified when I was initially helped. BUT they had no problem charging me $50 for there subpar service which concluded in me driving away with NO insurance. I tried calling the Orange office but kept getting directed to the Santa Ana CA office. A representative by ALBERT CASTILLO finally followed up with me and suggested I e-mail him an updated registration under my name. I e-mailed him the proper paperwork but never got a response. I was then directed toward MATTHEW ACOSTA, who promised to take care of the issue but again ... NO response. Now there is one thing about bad customer service but blatantly lying and avoiding e-mail/calls is completely un-professional. These people have no sense of what customer service remotely might be. This whole ordeal took about 2 weeks. It could have been completely avoided if at the FIRST visit, I would've been informed that a vehicle can only be registered under the policy holders name or their wife and kids. One simple sentence could've have made me walk away perfectly happy with no issues. Alas, they have failed as insurance brokers and as professionals. This was a definite learning experience for me. You get what you pay for. If I were any of you, I would take my money elsewhere, and if for some odd reason you still try coming here please avoid ALBERT and MATTHEW. I have filed a formal complaint with Freeways headquarters with everyone involed. I know this won't do much but hopefully they have some sort of disciplinary protocol. Anyway this company is terrible, love yourself and go somewhere else. Quick Tip I learned: You honestly don't have to come into the office for any proposed change to your policy. I'm not really one to leave reviews but my experience here was extremely disappointing. I got a new policy with them recently & was happy to switch over since they had quoted me a lower price than my current insurance and the time. Unlike most, my problem started when I noticed that my monthly payment was a lot LESS than originally quoted. I called to make sure that I had been issued the right coverage and that's when I started getting the run around. I couldn't get a hold of this specific location & yet no one could help me. I called the actual insurance company but they would refer back to them. I finally spoke to the agent and they told me that the original insurance company we got, declined my full coverage request. Funny thing was they told me this AFTER happily taking my $480 original payment. They couldn't add on the coverage I needed so I needed to re sign a new policy which required another $300 dollars. I politely declined and decided to take my business somewhere else. I couldn't get any type of refund on my original payments so I'm out a total of $530 dollars because of this and I had to once again shop for a new policy. I absolutely would not recommend this place at all. They were a complete waste of time and money. read more
