    I visited this office in October of 2025 with a severe toothache…read more I'm an elderly person on a very limited fixed income. I'm in failing health, and over the years have had poor dental health. I have upper dentures and am missing many lower teeth. I was thankful that this office was able to see me right away. As I stated above, the pain I was in was severe. They numbed my mouth to ease some of the pain and proceeded with the examination. The results came back that I needed to have one tooth extracted and a root canal on another. They stated I "need" a bridge or a lower denture, the cost of which I could not afford. As I sat in the dentist's chair still in pain, I knew I couldn't afford the options I was given: $4800.00. I just wanted the pain to go away. I was NOT offered any other remedies. Such as let's pull the bad tooth and do a root canal on the other. They came up with a payment plan for their options, and nothing else. I felt so pressured that either I agreed with the payment plan or go home in pain. I went with their payment plan. I paid $500.00 that day, and they pulled one tooth. The next day, the pain returned, and I went back, and they made some type of adjustment/grinding on another tooth. I was able to get through the weekend with minimal pain. I had another appointment the next week for the starting of the root canal and a temporary cap. After this procedure i was to come back in a week and have a permanent cap placed to the tooth that had the root canal and do some impressions maybe more. Due to ongoing health issues, I was unable to keep that appointment in early November. But I was and have been pain-free ever since. The dental office never called me back to reschedule the missed appointment. I started to get deductions from my bank account in November for the payment plan ($187.00). After the December payment was deducted, I went on the payment website (I couldn't find a number to call), and I left a message that I didn't need any additional dental work and inquired about what my balance was for the work that was performed. The notification went unanswered. Again, in January, another payment was deducted. I once again reached out to the payment website with the same inquiry, and again, I received no reply. I called the dentist's office and was told the person I needed to speak with was out, and they would call me back. Again, no response. To date, I've paid over $1600.00 for a tooth extraction and a half-way finished root canal. I've put a stop on my debit card. I've not received any callbacks from the dental office or the payment administrator. I currently have gaps in my lower teeth, but I'm able to eat most anything, and the best part is I have no more pain. So I called the dental office to voice my concerns. The response I received was, in my mind, unbelievable. They told me I need to come into the office so they could see what work has been done. I asked, "You don't know what work you've performed. It should be in my chart." She said, "Yes, but we need to see you." She also stated they've done impressions (which I don't remember doing). I asked her then, "So Why haven't you called me over the last 5 months?" I told her I'm not going to come into that office ever again and risk being taken advantage of again because of my age. I've had many surgeries over my lifetime and never was told we need to see you so we know what's been done. I'm not looking for perfect teeth or a Hollywood smile, just no pain. I'm in my mid-70s. My thoughts of this dentist office are: A. They prey on the elderly. B. They don't keep accurate records of work that's been performed. C. They don't return calls. D. They do not respond to emails or phone calls. E. Very poor customer service.

    Riverview location: I started coming here 3 years ago…read more Didn't have insurance, just paid cash. Norma is an awesome dentist. She was very empathic and listened to my concerns and formulated a treatment plan that worked for me. She is never pushy on upselling and I really appreciate that she does things not to make the most money, but what is the best for her patients. She has my loyalty for life. I had composite filling that needed repair after 3 years, and at first it was composite for bottom right teeth. But it was sensitive, so the sensitive spot we did a small spot of composite. And the other two molars, bottom and top left side, very rear had issues too. But I talked it over with Norma, and we decided that for my heavy bite that amalgam would be better, which I happen to agree with. Years before I had amalgam for the rear tooths..and sometimes it lastes as long as 10 years, but sometimes it fails as soon as 3. So rear molars are going back to be amalgam next time it needs replacing. I would have preferred gold filling, but that is not an option anymore..too bad. P.S. Although prices have crept up over the years, as have everything else, she gave me a discount for being later than usual due to end of the year holiday scheduling. I am very grateful for that! P.S.2 Although scheduling isn't easy for me now that I have to take my son to school far away so mainly I just have after 3:30 pm available..and since she only there at the location Tuesday and Fridays..but the location is super close to my house, so I like it.     I went to the Riverview location in rubidoux…read more Amazing customer service! Norma is awesome -- super friendly, easygoing, and made the whole experience feel way more relaxed. Honestly, I kind of forgot I was even at the dentist . If you're hesitant about going to the dentist or usually don't like it, give this place a try -- Norma will definitely change your mind. Highly recommend!.
