The Freeman Arts Pavilion is a seasonal, open-air performance space showcasing music, dance, theater & children's programs. This was our first time here to enjoy the "Almost Queen" tribute band with six of our friends. When we arrived we headed over to the Canteen for food and drink. I ate an Italian sausage link on a hot dog bun for $8.50 and half of a hot dog. Hot dogs were $7 each. I also enjoyed a can of Guinness for $9. All brands of canned beer were $9. Plastic cups and condiments were also available. After we ate our food on the many picnic tables we walked over to our pre assigned N row white plastic folding chairs which were 14 rows back from the center stage. Our wrists were tagged with green colored wrist bands so that we could leave the area and return without any problem. During the show you were able to stand and dance in front of our chair. Also there was an area to the right of the stage where people were dancing. Dancing in the aisles was not allowed. The Almost Queen tribute band was great. They returned for an encore performance. See my many pics and videos, which were taken from my chair. We all agreed we will return here for more music performances. More to come in 2025.

I even danced by the metal fence during Fitz and the Tantrums because I was trying not to getting bitten! No one seemed to mind!

On Tuesday evening my friend and I saw Andy Grammer and Fitz and the Tantrums! This is a super cute venue which has food trucks and little concession stands for booze and pretzels. I just bought water to drink and splash myself with! My friend bought some white wine. Prices are nutty, but remember you're there for the show! Also, support the venue-- because it's a good one! I will start by saying, we went on a MEGA hot day. Guys, no breeze in the air. At 6pm, the sun is still high and we had sun all throughout Andy Grammer's set... poor guy even said he didn't think he had ever sweat this much in front of anyone! His energy was incredible, BTW. Go see him! I did not know why there was a table full of bug spray close to where we entered... UNTIL the sun went down. It was such a relief to not have the sun beaming down upon us with no breeze..... little did we know, the bugs came out to the party too. We were getting eaten up left and right! Everyone was fleeing to that bug spray table. LESSON LEARNED: bring bug spray!!!! Save yourself -- arms and legs and everything in between! I don't think there is a bad seat in the house even if you are on the lawn :) I forgot to mention, they have free parking-- super easy, quick little 2 min walk to venue and we brought our own chairs! Remember, to bring clear bags too!

Great food truck selection.

We went to our first concert at the Freeman Arts Pavillion to see Keb Mo and Sheryl Crow. It was a great concert and venue. We sat in the reserved seating--which was awesome and gave us a great view and proximity to hearing the concert really well. I especially liked all of the food choices at the Canteen and the variety of food trucks--and was especially thrilled to get seafood at one of the food trucks. There was also a good selection of reasonably priced alcoholic beverages. My only suggestion would be making the reserved seating chairs a little more comfortable. We are looking forward to seeing Fitz and the Tantrums and Andy Grammer.

If you are ever in Bethany Beach, DE be sure and check out the Freeman Arts Pavilion. Great entertainment, tasty food/beverages, helpful volunteers and spacious venue grounds.

Bring you own chairs for this concert.

I can't imagine a better concert experience than here. Very friendly staff, great sound, facility and amenities. Decent food and drinks.

We saw comedian Tom Papa at the Freeman Arts pavilion. It's a beautiful venue. I'd love to visit again on our next beach vacation.

Love this place, close to home and usually good acts. Wish there was more food and beverage choices.

Slower Lower Delaware is really a desert for "big time" entertainment, Freeman Stage being the exception.

Aside from that the dead band was amazing and views and sound were pretty darn good.

One of the bartenders near the bathrooms & main stage provided very sub par service, requiring me to repeat my order multiple times and caused a very frustrating experience for the rest of the night. The frustrating portion of this experience was how my credit card was charged over $400 several hours after we had left the bar. I had ordered two drinks totaling just under $20 (including a tip). I was then charged $7.50 and $396, in two different transactions, multiple hours after leaving the bar. Conveniently, this was after the bar had closed for the evening so there was no one to contact about this egregious mistake. It's one thing to mistakenly charge a credit card but it's another thing to feel targeted for a ridiculous amount several hours after we had left the bar and after the bar closed. I disputed the charges with my credit card but I will never be able to dispute having a good time at this establishment. I will never return.

Irish Eyes Staff ~ All were attentive and eager to help. Really fun crowd... games were on, live music. Bartenders were great, handled our 6-8 person party with skill and friendliness... The single off-note was a young woman bartender, blonde hair, at the back deck bar (Fri & Sat eve, 8pm or so)... Super dismissive, rude at times, def a chip on her shoulder. She missed out on lots of tip $. Even rude to the women in our party. Interacted with her twice, separate evenings. Same both nights. We sort of felt like something was off, felt sorry for her, so we tipped well the first night. But 2nd night, same poor showing on her part. She lost the house $ as well, because we left earlier than we intended to. She is our only bad memory from an otherwise amazing weekend in Lewes. Moral of the story... Def stop at Irish Eyes... great place to take in a game... avoid whoever that bartender is!

Margaritas were tasty and big, but not strong. I ordered the grilled shrimp. It was a real PITA to get the shrimp off the 2 skewers. They were tasty, but the pineapple salsa was too spicy for me. Husband had seafood pasta, very good. We were pestered by flies as soon as our food arrived. This place might want to get some of those fly fans for the outdoor tables.

As you can see from my more than ten past reviews over 4 years and my last review in August 2025…read morethis is now one of my top three happy hour restaurants during the off season. I will summarize my four most recent happy hour off season visits. We were first here at the bar with my six family and friends. Well finally the off season happy hour half price dinner entrees have finally returned here starting around mid October with pretty much the same entrees and menu as last year. They subsequently updated the half price entrees in early November. All items have pretty much returned here except for some new entrees. The good news is that at least two new half price happy hour dinner entrees were added including the surf and turf with espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon with two skewered shrimps, yukon mash, tomato garnash with blue cheese in the middle of the tomato for $40 or half price for only $20. I never had espresso encrusted filet mignon, therefore I ordered and enjoyed mine medium rare. I could barely taste the encrusted espresso. I ended my dinner with my favorite Fiddlehead's draft honey porter for $6. My total bill was $111 with half price discount of $36.50 so my final bill was $77. On my second return I enjoyed my ahi tuna rice bowl with broccoli, ginger fried house rice, sprouts and ginger vinaigrette for $36 or half price for $18. My total bill was $72 excluding gratuity. On my third return I again enjoyed the espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon, which I had ordered medium rare, but was over cooked to medium. I did not complain about returning my filet for a replacement, however I did show it to bartender Dennis. Next time I will order my filet rare. On my fourth return I enjoyed my usual cosmos and my ahi tuna rice bowl which was always properly cooked ahi style. Bartender Dennis always remembers I prefer a little extra spice, without me even asking for my Sriracha. Dennis recommended both of the above entrees. See my most recent pic of the new menu. Chef Cowan waved to me at the bar. Bartender Dennis served us very well supported by our usual excellent recommendations and conversations. Chandra and Cameron also said hello. The staff here are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. On Black Friday I purchased another $1k in gift cards for the off season from Off The Hook and Hooked in OC. Needless to say we will continue to return here for happy hour to spend our $1k.
