Fantastic experience with Kissu from Kirkwood Plumbing!…read more Kirkwood came in at a very reasonable cost for the replacement of a hot/cold water dispenser faucet (service costs for plumbing can be so variable in the Bay Area, others wouldn't even provide an estimate without coming onsite), and helped us swap out the filter on the unit as well. Communication was a breeze leading up to the service, Kissu followed up and let us know when he was 30 minutes out from arrival, and the work was completed efficiently and effectively as well. Will absolutely use again in the future.

Kissu came out today to unplug a kitchen sink clog. It wasn't the easiest job because the…read moreclean-out is in a tight space. Kissu showed up on time and worked diligently to fix our problem. He cleared the blockage and showed me a cleaned out pipe. We are very happy with his work and highly recommend. Follow-up: Sadly I'm downgrading our rating. Approximately 2-3 weeks later we noticed the water draining slowly and when we use the dish washer, water backs up into the sink. When I contacted Kissu, he told me we must have done something to clog the pipe. I told him that wasn't possible because after he left, we've been using a sink strainer so only liquids (no oils or fats) have been going down the drain. He offered to come back with a longer snake but charge me more than what he originally charged. My complaint is he should have used the longer snake in the first place to ensure the entire pipe was cleared and not just the first few feet. Now I have to find another plumber who will do a thorough job and stand by their work.

Very Happy! Rich and…read moreteam did a great job painting our house in Oakland a few months ago. We were indecisive about our paint color and Rich was very accommodating as we vacillated among numerous shades of green, eventually recommending a custom blend that we just love. The team went above & beyond in terms of prep (we had a lot of peeling paint that had to be removed) which has made a huge difference - it looks like a brand new house. We will definitely use All-Ways Painting again for future painting projects.

What a breath of fresh air!!…read more We have been slowly getting through a long list of house projects, one of which was some dry wall work and painting in three bathrooms and our living room. Our goal is always to find people that are easy to work with and care about what they do. Well we found both and more in Rich and his team. From his quick response and initial quote to his easy communication and excellent work, he has been wonderful to work with. We are now on to the third additional project (the exterior) and couldn't be happier. Thanks Rich!!

Last year we used BD construction to do a complete home remodel. No room in our home was left…read moreuntouched. Popcorn ceilings were removed, new windows and sliders were put in, our exterior was re-stuccoed, lighting was installed, living room cabinets were painted, and our old linoleum floors were replaced with beautiful wood-look tile. Brandon and his team built us a walk-in pantry and completely remodeled our laundry room, kitchen, and two and a half baths. BD also redid the ceiling in our mancave, complete with insulation that has turned the room from an oven in the summer into a comfortable space. Brandon was awesome about communicating throughout the process, we were comfortable having him in our home, and we are so happy with how our home turned out! We were a big job that continued to grow, as we ended up adding on quite a few more projects as we went. Brandon and his team stuck with us and made it happen. It took us two years of searching and interviewing contractors until we found Brandon. After meeting with him, we knew that he was the person to help us transform our home. He has been great about coming back to address minor issues, and we have another small project that we are looking forward to working on with him this year. Give him a call, we're so glad we did!

A ~$250 charge to cut the hole in sheetrock for an electrical outlet, ~$350 charge to install and connect the outlet to the main electrical system. I lost interest at that point. May be there is a charge to turn the breaker off before installation and another charge to turn it back on. Every conceivable step was a line item. I feel sorry for the guy for going through so much trouble to even give me an estimate. I will not even consider that guy because I have no idea what this project could balloon into. He may find something wrong somewhere and all of a sudden I will have another 100 line items and 50k in additional charges. No comments about his quality of work. May be he is good. All I can say is either he is totally unrealistic about market rate of such projects (which I suspect he is not) or he inflates his rates to tells certain customers he is not interested in taking on their project.
