We asked our warranty company for a second opinion regarding our air conditioner and they sent Milad from Freedom Heating & Cooling. Milad came to our home, was professional, and immediately assessed the problem. He came prepared with the proper tools and equipment, and even had the part on-hand. He was able to repair the A/C to our complete satisfaction. The original company sent by the warranty company came to our home without tools and had to "borrow" our screwdriver and two ladders, however, he refused to look in the attic which is where the actual issue was. We desperately needed to have our old flexible ducts replaced - rats had eaten too many holes to count... Milad, the owner of Freedom, came out quickly, evaluated our system and put together a proposal to replace the old ducts with metal ones. His quote was very fair, and he came out the very next week to begin tearing out the old ducts, which were in far worse shape than imagined. By the second day, his work was complete - Milad took the time (at no extra charge) to clean out the inside of the furnace and completely seal the system from end to end. I found Milad when I contacted my homeowner's insurance about a weird smell coming from my HVAC unit. The first guy they sent out was an old man who did not solve the problem and did the bare minimum. I called our homeowner's insurance again. This time they sent Milad. Freedom Heating and Cooling is the best! When my old faithful AC unit gave out on me in July, I was apprehensive about what would be involved with it's replacement. I have repair insurance and, fortunately, the bulk of the cost was covered for a quality unit. That did not guarantee, however, that the installation would be quality as well. Unless you know off-hand a good AC or HVAC repair company, it will be "the luck of the draw" when your insurance company chooses for you. They don't check ratings or public complaints. Here's my advice...request Freedom Heating & Cooling in Spring Valley. The company which was sent to install my AC (not Freedom) did such a shoddy job, it broke down in 2 weeks. I also found out later that they over charged me for the extras my insurance company didn't cover. I called back my insurance and requested a different company to come and do the repair. That person was not dishonest...just incompetent. 3 cancellation, 6 phone calls and innumerable excuses later, their repair person (not Freedom H & C) installed an inadequate part which failed in a week. It was also my discomfort to deal with a nonprofessional and unorganized office staff. By October (remember this started in July), I was at my wits end with the heat spell and Covid lock-down (I'm a senior). I called my insurance again. This time they sent REAL HELP in the form of Milad Hana from Freedom Heating & Cooling. The office staff here was courteous and understanding (turns out it was Milad's wife who answered the phone). She listened to my long rambling story patiently and then assured me I would be helped. An appointment was quick in coming. Milad arrived with proper face mask and then listened to my long story (which was probably hard to believe) and then assessed thoroughly the situation. He was astonished at what he saw. The prior work had been done so poorly he couldn't believe it. He said he would "never cut corners like that" and that he worked like he would be working on his own home. That, to me, shows a man who takes pride in his work. Each point in the repair, he explained how and why he was doing it because I was interested. Turns out he's also a good teacher (free of charge). He also has the proper tools - believe me, that makes a difference. And he actually had the correct part available to do the job immediately (not 3 months later). After the repair was done, he checked and double checked that everything was working properly (unlike the 1st guy who ran out the door as soon as he was finished). Milad even called me later that evening to make sure everything was OK. I can't give enough praise for Milad and his company. I know if you give Freedom Heating & Plumbing a try, you will wind up telling one you know what a great job he does. Just so you know, I'm not a relative of Milad's nor had I ever met him til he showed up at my doorstep. I'm not the kind of person who yells and gets angry when things go wrong - it's a waste of my energy and will not solve the problem. I figure that people who do a bad job will have their work catch up with them and will be out of business soon. But when I do find a winner (like Milad and his company), I will praise the heck out of them and that will help all who want to see better service. I have used Milad 3 times now. He is professional, communicates well, and his prices are considerably lower than the big name companies. You will also not get the special attention that Milad gives you if you go with one of those larger companies. I, myself, like the smaller mom & pop businesses.
