Awful, awful, awful. The installers completely messed up my house during installation and got bits of the roof all over the floors, the beds, the desks, kitchentop counters, everything. They said they'd fix it and did a half-assed job just in the living area floor and left stains on the countertops. There is still bits of the stuff all over the dining room table, my bed, and the third bedroom. They claimed that they had to leave immediately and disappeared on me after they promised they would show up the next day and lend me a mini-vac to clean the rest of it up and they never showed up. My agent tried to call them, no response. I called FF directly and they said no incident was logged and I wouldn't get a response for two additional days. WTF.

Tricolor tile front facing of the solar is not finished.

Please don't hire this company to do your solar. We hired them last March, it took them 7 months to complete the job. We were active in January 2024. We started making monthly payments in May of 2023. Not only was I making the monthly solar payment and our monthly SCE electrical bill. It gets worse, we finally have our solar the roof isn't finished. They left us with 2 different roof styles. They didn't keep the tile to fill in once solar panels were installed. They keep going back and forth with the roofing company. The aesthetics of our house look horrible with the unfinished roof.

So Cal Edison did this - and almost didn't remove it bc of Freedom Forever!!

Constantly calling me and harassing me - DESPITE MY ASKING THEM REPEATEDLY TO REMOVE ME FROM THEIR CALLING LIST! I initially made the mistake of ALMOST hiring them. They responded to an online ad I'd fallen for. They SEEMED OK at first. But THEN their field-rep took the liberty of speaking on MY behalf WITHOUT my saying he SHOULD and I WASNT EVEN THERE to SCE (my power company)! Telling them (or my electrician) that I was going to need a MUCH bigger breaker box bc I was going Solar. Mind you, I was having my box redone bc some OTHER dipstick broke my meter off the pole- and it had taken over a MONTH to get a NEW meter put in and ALL the permits, inspections, etc. had me in hotels.. and THESE SCHMUCKS (Freedom Forever) tries telling them I was going to need a DIFFERENT ONE?! So I contacted the flake that first called me telling him how enraged I was and they STILL call, email and text me!!! JERKS

Infinity Solar - Villa Park solar battery system

Infinity Solar

(296 reviews)

I wanted to share my recent wonderful experience with my recent service visit with Infinity Solar…read more I purchased my system in 2024 (detailed review also done); during this time, my solar generation has been absolutely wonderful, and sized perfectly by Kay. My electric bill is essentially free over all of 2025 and this year. Some months have a $10 dollar bill, other months negative depending on how sunny each day is. I have had zero issues whatsoever and system works like clockwork. The installation over my tile roof, done through Terrazas roofing, partnered with Solar has also been top notch with zero issues with multiple major storms last year. I would say i was 110% satisfied with my decision to go solar and with Infinity solar. Fast forward to 2026. A series of recent power outages resulted in no power in my home. My initial thinking was that my system should have generated power with a fully charged battery during this outage. After calling Infinity, it was relayed that my system per contract was only set up for load shifting by design, lowering cost which I had decided on. After discussing 2 options to allow for backup power generation, i decided to proceed with the upgrade. Throughout the process, the entire team supported me exceptionally, starting with Sara who stepped in to help speak to me when the service department was not available at the time. As i did'nt understand my contract fully,, i reached out to Kay in sales, whom i did not speak to in 2 years, who really went above and beyond to explain to me in full detail how my system was set up, and options i had to upgrade. Kay treated me like family. I was so appreciative of her kind approach. She helped coordinate a technical call with Joel to fully answer all my technical questions. Once i decided i was comfortable with to proceed with the upgrade, the service team took over, with Vanessa and Brianna helping me schedule my service. Vanessa and Brianna work tremendously well together; super friendly, pleasant, professional and helpful. I requested looking into a couple options which Vanessa followed up on and accommodated without hesitation. A straight forward and exact quote was provided on Thursday. Their service and help was fantastic and greatly appreciated. Upon approving my quote on Thursday, my service was completed on the following Tuesday, much faster than I expected. Upgrade was performed by Ivan, electrician specialist. Ivan also initially setup my system in 2024. His expertise is perhaps, in my view, the finest in the industry. I felt very fortunate and appreciative knowing i hd my system in the best hands. He spent about 3 hours working on my system, explaining all the steps. Work performed was tremendous. Ivan patiently answering all my questions on some of the system parameters forgotten over the past 2 years. System was up and running and verified to work fully with a simulated power outage performed through the fuse box, and through the app. I was thrilled to now have backup power during outages. Billing and final payment was as quoted and super easy. In closing, the real mark of any business is how you are treated after the job is complete. My belief is that Infinity solar lives up to their reputation of being an exceptional 5 star company providing high expertise solar services through all phases of a project; sales, installation, commission, operational life, and post installation services. In a business of fraught with fly by night companies, Infinity Solar is a true gem. Solar done right with integrity, highest expertise, and exceptional, prompt service when called on. Thanks again to the entire Infinity team. 5 Star once again! Dave C

UPDATE: Sadly, changing my original 5-star review to 1 star…read more I'm really disappointed to have to update my original review. When we purchased our solar system from Infinity Solar in 2017, the installation process was great, and we genuinely felt they went above and beyond. We were extremely pleased with our experience and had no hesitation recommending them. Unfortunately, fast-forward several years, and our experience has been completely different. Recently, one of our inverters stopped working. Given that our contract includes a 25-year warranty covering workmanship, labor, and certain equipment, we naturally reached out to Infinity Solar expecting them to stand behind their warranty. Instead, we were told we would have to pay $550 just for someone to come out and assess the problem, followed by additional hourly labor charges for however long the repair would take. When we questioned why we were being charged these fees despite our warranty, the owner, Tim, explained that we lived too far away, that the business wasn't doing well financially, and that it essentially wasn't worth it for him to send someone out. He even mentioned that they were considering closing the business altogether. Needless to say, we were shocked and extremely disappointed by this response. We trusted this company with a significant investment, in part because of the extensive warranties they offered. To now be told that servicing our system isn't worthwhile to them because of their financial situation and our location is incredibly frustrating. Ultimately, we hired another company that came out and repaired our inverter for just $300--less than what Infinity wanted to charge simply to diagnose the problem. It's unfortunate because our initial experience was genuinely positive. However, a company's true commitment to its customers isn't just demonstrated during the sale and installation, but in how it stands behind its products and warranties years later. A 25-year warranty means very little if the company is unwilling to honor it when you actually need service. I sincerely hope Infinity Solar reconsiders how it treats its existing customers. Based on our recent experience, I can no longer recommend them, particularly to anyone placing value on their long-term warranty promises.

She offered a free panel cleaning, which she set up internally and had their team come out this past Friday without issue. Since the cleaning the panels have been much better performing especially after these past few weeks of misting and rain, about 25% higher output. I didn't think much of it but I get now it's worth doing to get the most out of the panels. Overall a very good response and experience with OC specifically for this issue. I feel that they do want to stand out from the crowd and responding proactively to feedback gives me more confidence they'll take care of issues as they hear about them.

In mid-August our system stopped producing power. We didn't find out until our utility bill came in roughly $600 higher than normal. Since then, we've sent multiple emails and submitted a service request with no response. I finally reached someone by phone and, after escalating to a manager, they committed to sending a technician today at 4pm. No one showed up and no one called. When we call back, we sit on hold, get an auto response we're being transferred to customer support, and then the line goes silent before we are ultimately sent to a voicemail service. A 25-year installation warranty means nothing if the company won't answer the phone or show up. Every day our system is down costs us money. If you're considering OC Solar, ask hard questions about how they handle service after the sale. I'll update this review if they make it right.

They were always available to answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with our electricians whenever something came up. Because they knew our system inside and out, they were able to jump in quickly and help keep the project on track. Having that history with our home made a huge difference, and their professionalism and responsiveness took a lot of stress out of what was otherwise a complicated project -- all without having to break the bank. They are extremely fair with their pricing. It's one thing to do a good installation, but it's another to still be supporting your customers more than a decade later. That kind of long-term service is hard to find these days, and I'm incredibly grateful for everything Alan and Solar Wholesale Group have done for us. Highly recommend.

I agreed to purchase the panels however, discussed my concerns with him prior to.The building on the southern part of our house has a tree growing and there was a strong likelihood of it blocking the panels as well as living by the freeway with constant dust. Alan said working around this wouldnt be a problem and then discussed a plan where the panels were to be placed, however this was not adhered to. I again referenced my concern with the tree blocking the panels and was told it would be fine. I subsequently received my bill and there was no measureable change to the amount. I was dismissed and further told to be patient, and it will go down eventually. I was additionally advised to continue sending in my bill. Six months have passed with no change whatsoever. Alan has then backtracked on his earlier assertion stating the trees blocking the panels are what's causing low production. During this entire time of my paying for solar panels,my bill has remained the same with some months at a noticeable increase. He reached out to Tesla to ask for the tree to be trimmed and nothing happened. Trying to reach Alan has been an issue as well because each time, I've gotten a response stating I will call you back, he is sick on vacation, or not available. This has been well over a year of back and forth and suffice to say it has been exhausting, stressful and counterproductive. I was offered a 3 panel installation free of charge, and a discount for extra panels in exchange for a good review. I was then lied to again by him stating it is enough to cover the energy production. If this is the case, how can it cover the energy production if my bill was not even changed with the previous panels? He apparently is so confident that 10 panels were enoug, he said he would refund me if it doesn't reach the promised energy production. This is not what happened in the slightest and I do not appreciate being disrespected and dismissed as though my business means nothing. This entire situation has given me so much undeserved anxiety and I deeply regret this purchase.

Upon completion, the owner provided us with an app to track production and consumption in real time, so we can be sure everything is operating as it should. Unlike other companies, which apparently ghost you as soon as you've paid your money, SunSolar continues to reach out. They assured me that they're with us for the lifetime of the system, and everything so far bears that out. It's been a fantastic experience all around. There's a reason SunSolar's Yelp reviews are so high: they do everything they can to earn them! If you're thinking about solar, spare yourself the grief, agony, and distress that you read about in reviews of other companies. Go with the company that has proven itself, day-in and day-out, for over a decade.

Without making this review long and boring, let me just say Eric the owner, Rich the office manager and Zach the lead installer (and the rest of the crew) was great to work with from beginning to end. I was anticipating that there might be some issues adding batteries on to an existing system, with not only the installation itself, but with the approval process from Edison and the city. But Eric, Rich and Zach worked as a great coordinated team to get through any obstacles that came up. Anyone who's been through any type of home construction/remodel knows that nothing is perfect. But it's how the people you hired responds to those hiccups to make things perfect, is what counts the most. And I can honestly say NexGen exceeded expectations. In regards to value, Eric is upfront and says they are not the cheapest, but they are certainly not the most expensive either. So when it comes to my peace of mind, I'd gladly pay a little more. Go ahead and give them a call, I certainly will when I want to add even more batteries

However, upon completeing the job, the project manager Tim Broughton called me, helped me log on to the Enphase app so that I could monitor the panels. After I confirmed that I was logged in, I was told that I was up and running And they were done. I was happy thinking I was now running on the sun. Wrong. So very wrong. I received my electric bill and astonished to see the electric portion was over $800.00. I called the power company and was told that the $130.00 application fee had not been paid. I notified Mr. Broughton and he immediatley saw that the bill for the application fee was paid and apologized for the error. Now the fun begins. I called the power company and asked when they would be out to install the proper meter for solar panels. I was informed that no application for a meter to be installed was on file and that I had to submit an application for interconnection. Hmm? No one mentioned anything to me about completing and application or that I had to contact the power company. I completed the PTO (Permission to Operate) form and based on the questions being asked and the information I needed to provide leads me to believe the Solar company was responsible for completing this form and sending the required fee. Ok. Lets not look to for someone to blame, lets just get the proper meter installed. I completed the PTO and submitted it. The power company came out a couple of weeks later and installed the a new meter. Onlyit was not a meter for solar panels. They installed the same new meter but it was the same meter as the meter I already had. I asked them why they didn't put on a solar meter and I was told that I needed to submit a PTO for a SOLAR METER, which is different. And by the way, they have a special person that installs solar meters and a special person to install regular meters. This seemed rather stupid to me. I ask the power comapany rep for the contact info for the solar department and he told he didn't know. I won't name the power company. LADwp. The one good thing the DWP rep did upon arriving to his office was to send an email to contact the proper department at the power company. I assumed he would have just gone about his business and let me flounder. I started on the second application which asked for job site photos. This was to me another indication that the solar installer was suppose to complete this form because Joe Citizen would not know what photos they were required. I did observe that periodically, the workers would take photos, but none were ever sent to me. Now I'm in the middle of August 2026 with fingers, legs, arms, eyes and anything else, maybe the dogs and cats, crossed hoping that this time I will get a meter. The bottom line is I would still recommend AWS SOLAR to anyone, but I'd have to caution them to make sure they get you connected and ALL fees are paid. Because I was dealing with the City of LA and being constantly sent to voice mail and waiting for call backs, this experience was horrendous.
