As a fan of the Free People brand and this store in particular I've decided to leave this review. I'm doing so solely based on some of the other reviews I've read about this store that ring untrue. I frequent this store and I have to say they have some of the most friendly, welcoming, and helpful employees for a store located inside a mall. The ladies here are always a pleasure to deal with. Each and every one of them. When you walk in they greet you and if you have items they always inquire about setting aside a fitting room with your items. As, I'm not the most decisive when it comes to purchasing clothing, I generally have lots of questions about fit and they always patiently respond to my questions. They have had to order items for me that weren't in stock at their location, I've returned something before that I purchased at another location, I have spent an hour in the store fretting over a purchase I was unsure about and each time the ladies here provided nothing but excellent customer service. As for the store, it's always clean the dressing rooms are tidy and items in the store are neatly arranged on their respective racks. In the back left corner of the store, near the fitting room area you will find the markdown items. I've found more than a few gems back there. Check it out. read more

This location is small and in the far section of the mall (bottom floor close to Apple) While this is typically my go to despite the size it's usually because it's unfortunately the closest (still a good 40 min-an hour away based on traffic) typically staff are friendly and helpful. Pleasant. But recently I had a terrible experience in store with an employee and the manager and it's put a really bad taste in my mouth. I had a complicated return regarding a mistake by corporate and despite having an email from customer service (who I had called prior to driving all the way in to figure out what was going on and how to deal with it) detailing what the store should do they still hassled me about it and tried not to honor it. It was uncomfortable and upsetting. I may not return over it and shop at other locations despite them being farther away. Gave this location the benefit of the doubt as I have had good experiences in the past but this was just inexcusably bad. **Edit after trying to use the gift card I went in for at my earlier comments: turns out they botched the return and the store credit I received has "an issue" where it appears to "be fraudulent" (this is coming strait from customer service) which so far has resulted in a canceled order & now multiple calls to customer service to get the situation sorted out. I don't know if this was done on purpose out of malice or if it was simply a mistake but they didn't want to accept my customer mandated retention to begin with and it was a bit of a fight and now this? So while I have had positive experiences here in the past & initially gave them the benefit of the doubt with that in mind (3 stars) I'm changing that in light of this new information and will not return to this location in the future. read more

This brand is one of my favorites and when I travel I look forward to visiting the local Free People store. This was a disappointment. While the clothing is cute as expected, the vibe is so negative and flat. My daughters & I were not at all greeted, It's like the staff is so into their own selves that we were intruding. With a brand that has tried to develop a free spirit vibe and unique items, the store service does not embody that same vibe. What a total miss on the part of this store management. We wanted to buy and would have likely bought if the staff actively helped or engaged with us. I did try on a dress that was on the 'one left' rack but it looked worn. Clearly wrinkled through use at the front and pilling at the seat. This did not add any further trust as a customer. Better to go online than visit this store. read more

I absolutely love the Free People brand. It is whimsical, boho, and completely made with the modern female in mind. However, this store and their customer service really depreciates the value of the brand. I have come here a few times and have never been greeted, and never asked if I required any assistance. While I am an independent shopper who likes to find things on her own, I still love to be reminded that my business is valued. After all, within a public shopping domain you should expect to say at least a "Hello" or a "How are you?" Because of this, I have stopped visiting this store as well as some friends of mine who have had the same lack of customer service at separate visits. I sincerely hope the business store manager takes into consideration the importance or rapport between associates and clients. read more

This review is on behalf of my boyfriend who recently visited this store to purchase a gift card. He recounts that he received very poor customer service from the dismissive sales associates. He waited at the register for quite some time at the register before even being acknowledged by the sales associate (he's over 6 feet tall and the store is very tiny - how could you miss him?) and the store only had one other customer (who, might I add, was shopping and not being assisted). I'm certain he was overlooked because he did not fit the "typical demographic" that frequents this type of store. read more

I love the clothes. They are beautiful, well made and can be worn several different ways. The Lenox store is the best! Girls are nice and helpful, they know how to wear the clothes and help you layer. Also offered my some helpful tips on how they can order stuff for me on line and cdll to ask for advice on certain peices or even save on items that may be on sale but not marked down online. Yay! Great girl!! Also, I thought that I might be "too big" for their clothes and was really pleased to see how we'll they fit! I'm a 10. The clothes are flattering. I had a great experience at this location today! I wish I would have gotten the names of the associates working on 4/3 AM- a brunette and a blonde. First off , I haven't seen a lot of things I wanted at free people recently but the store looked great, the outfits and accessories were organized and I loved my shopping experience. The brunette associate was so nice in helping me place an order online after us finding that it wasn't available in store. We got the order shipped express as I saw the other associate being very kind and helpful to another guest. This is a pleasant change of pace considering the bad customer service that people are used to when shopping at Lenox. Good job ladies- thanks for your help. read more

I love, love, love Free People!!!! Beautiful clothes and accessories.....it is pricey, but it is unique and worth the money. The Atlanta store at Lenox Mall is great with friendly, helpful staff. Everyone should stop by and see them. read more

The low rating is for my treatment from the employees. For a place that charges so much for clothing, I would expect more professional behavior from associates. I was ignored by 3 associates. Was not greeted and not offered any sort of acknowledgment. You do not know how deep someone's pockets go. Your loss ;) read more

In spite of being a devotee to Anthropologie for several years (and a former employee), I just recently discovered Free People. I fell in love with a skirt online and saw in the reviews that it tended to run a bit large. I popped over to the Lenox location to see if they had it in stock to try on. I was disappointed when they didn't, but the salesgirl offered to order it for me and they would waive the shipping. Sure! If it didn't fit, I was free to bring it back and return it to the store. I've also recently lost over 20 pounds, so I'm not sure what size I am any more. I ended up ordering the black in an extra small and it fit. I could probably go up to the small to give a little more room and length, but I'm happy with this size. It's comfortable, well made, and definitely worth the $200 price tag. I can definitely see myself getting it in another color. And I want pretty much everything else on their website, too. read more
