I went to look for an outfit for an upcoming wedding. Did check out 2 other stores before finding this gem upstairs at global mall. I had no idea what I was looking for but the auntie that helped me was so nice and had so much patience with me. She helped me try one 5 or 6 outfits before I settled on something. She definitely provided a lot of good recommendations. While some of the outfits felt pricier I think it was worth it. I found my first kurta here at Ladlee, an Indian clothing store located inside Global Mall, an Indian shopping mall in Norcross, just off I-85 exit 99 (Jimmy Carter Blvd). The kurta set, shirt and pants, was $125. $132.50 after 6% sales tax. I thought this was a reasonable price for the design and quality of the kurta I got. I just wore it at an Indian baraat (groom's procession), wedding ceremony, and dinner (I wore a tux at the following day's cocktail hour, reception, and dinner). The brand of my kurta is "Sanskrit" (at least, that's what the neck tag looks like it says) and it's made in India. It's dark blue with a nice pastel floral pattern down the chest, surrounding the buttons. The ends of the sleeves have buttons too. The kurta is long and slim-fitting, and it has an inner lining. The pants are white, made of light fabric, have pockets, and stretch in the waist. I'm only 5-7 and Ladlee had plenty of styles in my short and small size. Turns out I'm a size 38 in kurtas. I opted to get my kurta pants hemmed (personal preference) by my tailor in town instead of at Ladlee because I didn't want to drive back up to Gwinnett just to pick up pants. That said, a little bunching is normal for kurta pants. My wife and I shopped at two other stores at Global Mall before choosing the kurta at Ladlee. We went into this kurta shopping experience blind. Aside from browsing websites like Kalki beforehand, we had no idea which stores were good nor exactly what kind of kurta I wanted. The other stores we visited were Rahul's Clothing and Radhika Collection. Rahul's and Radhika are on the first floor. Ladlee is on the second floor. I tried on kurtas at all three stores. The customer service at Rahul's was good, but the kurta I liked was cheap in quality, especially compared to the kurta I got at Ladlee. However, the price was cheap too ($75) so I can't knock Rahul's for that. If you're looking for the lowest price, check out Rahul's. The customer service at Radhika Collection wasn't great. All kurtas were folded, packed in plastic bags, and stacked on shelves behind the counter. This made it hard to browse. I didn't see anything I liked at Radhika. Ladlee is big and occupies two separate spaces: one for women and one for men and kids. I think Ladlee had the best selection of kurtas in my size. I tried on a couple and my wife and I quickly found the one I eventually purchased. The men and kids side was so busy that an employee offered for me to try on the kurtas on the women's side. That's where I made my purchase too. The customer service at Ladlee was great. We never felt pressured to buy. Also, while I was trying on kurtas, an employee offered to show my wife Ladlee's blouse selection, which they normally only show on weekdays because they're so busy on weekends. This is my first stop when visiting the global mall. They have variety in women's and men's desi clothing. They even have good options for kids. They carry bridal outfits as well. Prices for their outfits can fit most budgets. They have a fixed price policy so no haggling like most of us desis are used to. Furthermore, I don't ever remember having a bad experience here. On my most recent trip, the men's and women's side had such bubbly people working who made the experience very cheerful and pleasant. The only reason I leave a one star review is due to the manager on site during my purchase of a green prince coat. He was insistent on FIXED PRICE over and over again. I bought multiple (5+ items) for a wedding and even price matched from his direct competitors but he was absolutely iron walled into his own fixed price policy. We flew over 300 miles to come visit his store from previous family friends and how he gave them wonderful deals at the perfect time. But since COVID, he has instituted his own FIXED PRICE policy that he thinks everyone likes. News flash. No one likes fixed price except the store employees and management. The staff and employees are an absolute joy to work with. They helped me pick an outfit with matching shoes and shawl. This shop is located inside the Global Mall on the first floor. They have two stores adjacent to each other. Ladlee is an boutique shop for Indian fashion for men and women, including bridalwear, casual and formal attire. It's an south asian Indian fashion store in Atlanta, GA. India's top designers under one roof, One stop shop for entire family. Highly recommend coming here as they helped make a potentially stressful experience into the perfect festival shopping experience. The sales lady walked us through all of our options and made easy to select our favorites. The staff is incredibly helpful they made sure i tried all the clothes i liked and showing me a wide range of styles in affordable prices that we are looking for. This store has beautiful dresses but absolutely lacks customer service. Beware of the 5'3" light-skinned chic with eyeglasses - terrible attitude and outright disrespectful. I finally found a dress that I liked and unfortunately, made the mistake of giving my business to these guys. They recommended I get the dress tailored by their own tailor, Shishioi. He took my measurements and three weeks later, when I came to get the dress yesterday, turns out the lengha's skirt is so large - both on the waist and lengthwise. I was literally stumbling over the skirt and asked Shishioi if he can trim it a little more. He refused, saying he's going to charge me another $70, even though it's his fault that he didn't trim and stitch the skirt accurately. He showed my partner and I the measurement he previously took and then measured the skirt I was wearing to prove that it was the accurate length, when obviously it was not. He then proceeded to say that he'll add another bracket on the skirt so at least the skirt will fit my waist. It still doesn't fit and the bracket was stitched crooked, as you can see on the photo. He should've had some decency to at least try to fix his mistake, but he insisted that I repay him another $70 for any new changes. I wasn't going to leave a review because he is an older man. But after speaking with several family members and friends about this incident, many suggested I write a review so others don't have to go through the same situation. Ladlee is an Indian clothing store located in Global Mall in Norcross. It has women's, men's, and kids clothing. This store has been here for quite some time now, I want to say for about 10+ years. They have some really nice items, but it's definitely on the pricier side. Highly recommend coming during the week, as Saturdays and Sundays are extremely busy, and can take forever to get a fitting room to try things on. They do have a tailor on-site that can assist with alterations, but it's not day-of. You will need to allow for a few days to get your items altered. read more

I came here to find some dresses for a family wedding. Chelsea worked with me throughout the 1.5 hrs I spent here and she was awesome. She showed me countless options, was very cognizant of what I liked and didn't, asked my inputs and was just overall amazing. Excellent customer service- honestly, I'd hire her in a heartbeat lol! The prices and fixed and I don't think the manager was very nice/ accommodating, but Chelsea was totally amazing. I'd come back just to hang out with her haha! I can't say that I agree with the amount of negativity on these other reviews. I love Ladlee. It is hands down my favorite Indian clothing store in the Atlanta area- and I've been to most if not all at some point! I even bought the outfit I wore for my engagement and mehndi ceremonies here. The customer service has always been good, though I do agree that some of them don't speak English as well so communication can be tricky if it's a day without the other sales people. Prices are more expensive compared to other places, but their quality always out shines the rest! That being said, they also have excellent sales and that's when I've purchased the majority of my outfits. The jewelry is another plus- if anything, I think most of those are priced less than other stores and the selection way more. I have ordered once from their website- the item was delayed due to a Monday holiday, but other than that quickly dispatched and in great condition. I've recommended this store to several of my fronds and family members---If you're looking to purchase a good quality outfit in the Atlanta area, this is absolutely the place to shop! read more

You could go to some expensive designer shops and spend a fortune for stuff that's would make Robin Leach raise an eyebrow at you. But why bother since you're likely to find exactly what you're looking for here, anyway? If you're ever in the market for Indian formal wear, check this place out. I'm not a fan of clothes shopping in general, but the staff here made my process easy. Ladlee has plenty of selections in a wide variety of styles, colors, and sizes. And this is good quality stuff. (Many other places sell cheap materials disguised under heavy embroidery and sequins.) The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They do very formal to not-so-formal. Prices are reasonable, and if you're buying multiple items, you might be able to haggle a little bit. read more

DOUBLE YES! I think I just had an aneurysm upon entering the store! Your mind may blow up at all the gorgeous "colors" and "bangles" and then once you inquire about the price? You may blow up even more! Want to put a down payment on a house in the near future? Forget it, just buy a substandard lehenga at Ladlee! Wanting to empty your precious ING Savings account in one shot? Just mention you're looking for bridal wear! "But sir, we only carry one or two of the same outfits, absolutely NO ONE will be able to buy the same outfit....." Let me tell you something -- No amount of Hindi speaking, flattery, sweet talking will help you. Want a price tag? Forget it, you have to negotiate with the "owner." So many things can go wrong in this situation. Was quoted $5,000 for some plain red lehenga with a few "hand woven" sparkles. Even from a business standpoint, this store must be making a profit of about 300%. Given the price of a STANDARD bridal lehenga in Hyderabad (38,000 rupees = $844) add the price of shipping (Let's over shoot this and say $200 for shipping) and then of course, you want to make a profit, right (so now we're up to $1044 before profit....Let's say you want to make double the profit --- no problem, we're up to $2088.....hell, why don't we had an extra thousand just for fun? $3,088) Do your research. There is a novelty and a convenience with buying things here in the U.S. rather than flying out to India and buying a lehenga, and flying back here. I understand there is a price to pay for this service. After all, flights to India aren't cheap. See the math above, however. From a business standpoint, this is just highway robbery. Before coming to Ladlee, I had looked for Indian wedding outfits in Houston, Texas and Jackson Heights, New York with no success. Here at Ladlee, however, I found an outfit for my mehndi and another for my wedding. I had to narrow down my choices, so there were many possibilities. I thought that the clothing choices were interesting, varied and of good quality. They were patient, helpful and fun. The prices were reasonable by US standards (especially when compared to Jackson Heights and Houston). I am not Indian, but my boyfriend is and his brother is getting married so we went to Ladlee to get a dress for his brother's wedding. I was anxious and expected the whole thing to be a complete hassle, but the girl who helped us was awesome and held my hand through every step. She helped pick out dresses in my price range, got me a fitting room, helped with all the zippers and came to check on me between dresses. She showed me what each dress would look like without sleeves and with them, and when I didnt like the scarf that came with one, she tried to find another in a fabric that would match. After we purchased the dress, she went with us to the tailor and helped measure me and told him where to make all of the alterations. I would never get customer service like that at an American store. The dress is beautiful and I am very pleased with the whole experience. read more

Dont waste your time or money. There are better stores in this mall than ladlee. The clothes might be beautiful but its over priced and the customer service is the absolute worst. I waited forever for help that never came until I walked up and asked a general question. I was only met with annoyance and attitude. They might have a tailor yes but if you're anything over a size 6 or if you have a chest or hips its hard to try on anything. This is the best in store place to shop for cloths. Previously moving to Georgia, I lived in NY and shopped at Jackson Heights and Coney Island. Since when can anyone judge someone's size after seeing them for less than a minute? Bad business on their part bc they just lost a customer. The clothes were not good quality and the price was extremely high. The customer service was the worst I've experienced in any Indian clothing store. Before I start my critiquing, just a brief disclosure- I'm a real customer and in no way or form related to the business and writing this review will not benefit me in anyway... On that note let's begin! My sis in law flew in from Florida so that she could have my expertise on hand while wedding dress shopping. New to Atlanta myself, I had to google map/ Yelp Indian boutiques to begin the journey. We Made our way to almost 7 stores- which were hung with hangers full of disappointment. Finally made way to global mall. As we were taken up the escalator to the doors of ladlee I thought to myself this place will be overly expensive and I'm ready for rude customer service.. Boy was I wrong! We were greeted by this super sweet chick who was so attentive- literally catered to our every need. The selection at ladlee ranges from your everyday need to extravagant pieces for weddings and such and you literally can find great stuff no matter what the budget... I'm not joking either- you really can. After spending almost 4 hours in the store cause the bride to be couldn't make up her mind- we finally said " yes to the dress" and walked out dancing! The fact that we were there for 4 freakin hours and the staff was just as friendly and caring from the moment we walked in to the moment we left is why I gave them so many more stars-other places literally rush you out or get frustrated for showing so many pieces and start on the attitude train. Don't want to disclose the name of the chick who helped us (she knows who she is ) but she is definitely an asset to that business with her amazing customer service skills and vibrant personality!
