When I returned to the shop, I spoke with Mike and Jared, who informed me that the oil filter was leaking because I had supposedly failed to get my oil changed within three months and needed to schedule another service. I clarified that my dealership recommends an oil change every six months. However, they insisted that dealerships use different oil filters and claimed that their advice was aimed at ensuring the car breaks down, so they can charge for repairs. This experience was not only frustrating due to the poor customer service but also concerning because of the inaccurate and misleading mechanical information provided. It felt as though they were more focused on selling unnecessary services rather than addressing my legitimate concerns. I cannot recommend this shop based on this experience. I will never go to this Valvoline or any other Valvoline shop.

They were shortstaffed, so I gather that was the reason they did not take a gander at my cabin air filter or try to upsell me on any other items, as is typical. Also skipped was guiding me through resetting the oil change reminder my car gives me. They verified that my headlights and signals were functioning properly, though. I used to think it was a plus that they checked the air in my tires, but when I left this time, I realized that three out of four of my caps weren't screwed back on properly. So next time, I will just have them skip that part and stick to doing it myself. I remembered to grab the discount that's always available: I utilize the synthetic blend, so I saved $15. If you use the full synthetic, it's $20 off. Google it or call the store and choose the option to have a coupon sent directly to your phone. Apparently they had "test drove" the car before handing us the keys and the car was "way better now". That has turned into thousands of dollars worth of damage with no compensation from this company. If you're thinking about coming here.... Literally anywhere else is going to be a better bet for you. Cannot express how Terrible service was. Edit: They expect us to drive the damaged vehicle back to their shop and refused to tow it. This is a big deal as the damage they had done to the break pads can cause the pads to overheat and start a fire. Rather than receiving an update or an apology for the delay, I was met with a sharp rebuke from the employee at the desk, Steve, who seemed offended that I had dared ask. The emissions test was eventually completed nearly two hours after my scheduled appointment. Now, I understand that delays happen. Cars break, schedules back up, and unexpected problems arise. What I don't understand is the complete lack of communication, the rude response to a reasonable question, and the absence of even the most basic customer-service courtesies. Not a single apology for the delay. Not a simple "thank you for your patience." If you're going to keep customers waiting for nearly two hours for a scheduled appointment, the least you can do is treat them with a little respect. I came in expecting an emissions test.
