I visited on one of those amazingly frigid January days we get here in the Midwest and they had the heat blasting from above to keep the cavernous, window-filled garage warm. I've been here several times over the last couple of years and the process always moves quickly. Being able to sit in my car the whole time is a perk that keeps me coming back. They were shortstaffed, so I gather that was the reason they did not take a gander at my cabin air filter or try to upsell me on any other items, as is typical. Also skipped was guiding me through resetting the oil change reminder my car gives me. They verified that my headlights and signals were functioning properly, though. I used to think it was a plus that they checked the air in my tires, but when I left this time, I realized that three out of four of my caps weren't screwed back on properly. So next time, I will just have them skip that part and stick to doing it myself. I remembered to grab the discount that's always available: I utilize the synthetic blend, so I saved $15. If you use the full synthetic, it's $20 off. Google it or call the store and choose the option to have a coupon sent directly to your phone. Easy peasy - and one more thing checked off the to do list!

    Was in a bind on my last day off prior to next one being 10 days out. Did not realize my emissions…read moretest I had done in November from another shop only lasted 60 days. Showed up to DMV to renew license plate and they informed me I needed another one done. Called LTS to see if it would be possible to get A same day emissions test performed and they got me in within 20 minutes. Incredible service, sitting here in the lobby listening to the praise and worship they have playing on their radio and feeling very thankful.

They completed the oil change and let us know we didn't need to rotate our tires yet that they were too new and that would be needed at the next oil change. They explained to us how to get the mileage we needed on the car so they could do emissions. Didn't need a follow up appointment, pulled in this morning. They completed the emissions and I was out of there in 10 minutes. This place is crazy busy but I had no problem getting an appointment and getting taken care of. I'm so impressed that they were so honest and upfront about the tire rotation. They could've easily done that and just charged us even though it wasn't necessary. Definitely will be back to this place anytime the car needs anything. Was able to schedule the appointment online, which is so convenient! And, really nice friendly people!

Yes, I called and talked the to Mark, who said I should have brought it back. You misdiagnosed my car and bring it back. I asked for the refund of the money spent another they did on the car for my inconvenience, and they have left me on hold. Said someone would get back to me but no has... buyer beware

    I would not recommend this location to anyone. I went in to get my front left tire replaced due to…read morea bubble on the sidewall. Instead, they replaced the front right tire because of a mistake in how the front desk entered the work order. That's fine--mistakes happen. However, when they brought me into the back to talk to the technician, he stated, word for word, that there was a bubble near the valve stem on the front right tire, which is why it was replaced. I regularly inspect my tires after hitting potholes, especially because I have low-profile tires. I told the manager that if there truly was an issue near the valve stem, there should be no problem taking a reference photo by putting the tire back on the rim and airing it up. There turned out to be no issue with the front right tire after doing this. At that point, I had a new tire installed on the front right, and they had moved my previously good-condition front right tire to the front left. All seemed well--so I thought. The first day I drove to work the following week (the first time I reached highway speeds since the service), my steering wheel started shaking. When I got to work, I checked and found that they had completely removed all the balance weights from both of my front rims and hadn't rebalanced the tires. During my initial visit, I had clearly told them that I had an alignment, balance, and rotation done just a month prior. This was my first and last experience with Plaza on West Clay Street in St. Charles. You can't rely on them to get it right the first, second, or even third time. Please, please, please make sure you understand your vehicle well so you don't get taken advantage of by the dishonest people at this West Clay location.

    What was supposed to be a simple alignment on my 2018 BMW 530i xDrive turned into one of the most…read morestressful and disappointing auto repair experiences I've ever had. I came into the Dobbs in St. Charles after hitting a curb and replacing a tire. My dashboard showed a "chassis stabilization" alert, so I requested an alignment to correct it. After inspecting the car, they told me they couldn't complete the alignment because I needed a lower control arm, which seemed reasonable at the time. A few days later, I decided to return and have them complete the control arm replacement. Since my front tires were showing wires, I also agreed to purchase two new tires -- a total bill of around $1,455. I expected that by paying that much, I'd be getting quality work and communication. Instead, everything that followed made me question how this shop is even in business. Not long after dropping off the car, I got a call from the advisor saying they couldn't remove my driver-side front wheel. They claimed they might have to drill into it, and that doing so could cause thousands of dollars in additional damage. No confidence. No clear explanation. Just "we might destroy your wheel." I was shocked -- drilling through an aluminum wheel on a BMW should be a last resort, not something casually mentioned over the phone. They told me they would stop and "work on it tomorrow." The next day, I got another call saying after about three hours of work, the job was done. Relieved, I went to pick up my car -- but immediately realized things weren't right. None of my dash sensors or service lights were reset, even though resetting and calibrating them is part of an alignment service. My front wheel still leaned visibly, meaning the alignment was clearly off. When I asked about it, I was brushed off and told, "We don't reset check-engine lights." The advisor then accused me of bringing the car in with a check-engine light already on, saying my car had "too many issues" to reset anything -- something completely untrue and irrelevant to the alignment I paid for. At no point did anyone call me before finalizing the repair or charging me to discuss these supposed "issues." When I tried to express how frustrated and disappointed I was -- after spending nearly fifteen hundred dollars and still leaving with an improperly aligned car -- I was threatened with the police for simply being upset. Not once did anyone take responsibility or even attempt to make it right. I left that shop feeling disrespected, taken advantage of, and completely dissatisfied. I brought them a car that needed a control arm and alignment, and I left with a car that still drives crooked, a set of uncalibrated sensors, and a sour taste about how they treat customers. If you value honesty, professionalism, and accountability, please do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. This location failed on every level -- from communication to workmanship to basic respect.

    Newest scam. They tried at two different locations on two different vehicles when brought in for a…read moresimple rotation. They call to report damage/"swollen" lug nuts. I called their bluff first time by returning to inspect and saw only normal wear on two (one less than the other) yet they recommended all 20 be replaced! I denied service, picked up vehicle and left. Second vehicle, different Dobbs location, but I photographed all nuts before dropping off. They were perfect, yet they also called trying to pull off the same scam. Not a fan of the chain anymore, however, I might give Lake St Louis location another chance since I've never had a bad experience there ever.
