Apparently they had "test drove" the car before handing us the keys and the car was "way better now". It is blatantly obvious that they did not do this as the car can barely accelerate past 25 miles per hour. We simply wanted someone to fix a tire.... That has turned into thousands of dollars worth of damage with no compensation from this company. If you're thinking about coming here.... Literally anywhere else is going to be a better bet for you. Cannot express how Terrible service was. Edit: They expect us to drive the damaged vehicle back to their shop and refused to tow it. This is a big deal as the damage they had done to the break pads can cause the pads to overheat and start a fire. It could also cause the breaks to completely give out making the vehicle completely unsafe to drive. Absolute fucking morons running this shit show.

The said they ran a pressure test, it was my head gasket(s), and would cost me $6000.00 to fix. I then took it to another mechanic who ran a pressure test that clearly showed it was just a water pump and it cost me under $500. So they either never ran a pressure test, and just made something up, or they have no idea what they are doing! Either way, I will NEVER give them another dime of my money.

I've been going to Telle Tires for over 8 years with great service. I tried all the regular fixes like tightening the fuel cap, but message was still scrolling. When I went in month's ago for an oil change Luke told me it was probably the Purge Valve but I could wait until my tags were due and needed an inspection. I made an appointment with Sid explaining check engine light intermittently comes on with the 'check fuel cap' message. He told me they would charge me $219 for a diagnostic. I said I don't need that, I know what the problem is. He was rude and didn't care what I had to say and I made an appointment to drop the car off on Wednesday 9/2. I went in at 9;45a to drop my car off and I met Sid. He was I just as rude in person. I told him I don't need a diagnostic because I know what the problem is. He wouldn't listen to me, he said thats not how we do things. I said why would I pay your $219 dollars to tell you whats wrong, when I'm telling what's wrong. He then said supposedly thats whats wrong, he kept talking down to me like I was a dumb woman. He then didn't want to talk to me anymore and the manager Jeff came over and was immediately was very condescending. I told him I didn't want a diagnostic I knew what the problem is. I said cant you just replace the Purge Valve and see if that resets check engine light. He also said supposedly thats wrong, it could be this or that and we need to run diagnostic that is policy. I said cant you just replace part, he said we don't do that. Jeff said Ill take $100 off. I was so upset and should have just left with my car. My ride came so I just left. I called 4 hours later and Sid answered said they haven't even looked at it, he again was not friendly or helpful. Dennis called me back a few hours later. Dennis was so nice, he a always is. He told me the Purge Valve needed to be replaced, exactly what I said but they wouldn't listen. They had to order part and wouldn't be done till the next day. If they listened to me at 10a they would have it done that day. Dennis called me around 9a and said the car was ready. I was going to talk to Jeff but only Dennis and Luke were there and they have always been nothing but nice and helpful to me through the years so I didn't want to unload on them so I paid the bill and $119 Diagnostic charge. This has really upset me because I always told everyone to take there car to this location bc they can be trusted, that they are honest and do great work. This review is solely on my interaction with the new Manager Jeff and employee Sid. It have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dennis, Luke, and the mechanics. I felt taken advantage of and dismissed. I drove out of the way to go to this location because the employees were so nice, helpful, professional and always provided excellent customer service until this day. You just lost a good customer. College son took car to St Charles Telle for a Missouri safety inspection. Telle failed the rear brakes saying they were below a1/16" and that they looked like the originals. They quoted him $700 to replace. The next weekend I bought part to replace them and when I disassembled I found brake pads had over 1/8" and rotors were good so they didn't actually need to be done. Was it an inexperienced tech, or a way to get revenue because they don't make money on inspections? Either way, we won't be back!

Otherwise, staff is always nice and it's easy to get in and out pretty quickly.
