I can't say enough good things about Master's Touch in St. Peters, Missouri. On the Friday before the holiday, they agreed to take a look at my car as a walk-in when it started acting up. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful from the moment I arrived. Zane came outside immediately, checked my oil, and then offered to run diagnostic codes on the car. He took the time to explain the report, reassured me that the car was safe to drive, and--with absolutely no pressure--simply asked whether I'd like to schedule an appointment to have it checked further or wait to see if the issue happened again. When I offered to pay, he told me there was no charge. I even tried to give him a tip to buy lunch, and he politely declined, saying the only thing he wanted was for me to tell others about the business. Service like this is incredibly rare these days. I wish I lived closer, but I'm honestly considering making the 40-minute drive to have them become my regular mechanic because trustworthy, honest shops like this are hard to find. We had our Toyota towed to this ridiculously bad shop after the brakes failed. A $1600+ repair later, the brakes failed again after fewer than 15 miles. We unwisely let them try again under their one-year repair warranty. Total brakes failure again within 20 miles. They offered- laughably- to try a third time. No refund, of course. Another shop fixed our brakes with none of the problems Master's Touch told us caused the repeated failures. Meanwhile, they demanded $300 to replace our battery, asked $200 for a "hard to find" license plate mount for my kid's car ($20 on amazon), and took weeks to turn over the money they got when they sold her wrecked car for us. 1-Star Review I had a terrible experience with this auto body shop. I brought my vehicle in for a specific issue, and instead of actually repairing it, they dragged the process out and kept charging us more money along the way. Each time we asked for an update, we were told the issue was being handled, but nothing ever truly got fixed. After all the delays, excuses, and additional charges, we were finally told the repair couldn't be completed--after we had already paid them. When I picked up my vehicle, it didn't even make it a mile before dying on the side of the road. I ended up spending money, time, and trust for absolutely nothing. My vehicle came back in worse condition than when I dropped it off, and the lack of honesty throughout the whole process was incredibly frustrating. Gave me a "complimentary" oil change after fixing a coolant leak in my car. All seemed good until I took it to my dealer for its next oil change to find out they had completely stripped my drain plug. The dealer said they likely used a power tool to speed up the process. My "complimentary service" ended up costing me $700 in a new oil pan. I called them to express my frustrations and they said they would call me back after they talked to their owner....never took down my name, phone number, or any information that would allow them to call me back. read more

Straight ripped me off for $563 for 2 small pieces of exhaust pipe. Did horrible work and never even quoted it before doing the work. Once it was done it was too late. Asked why the bill was so high and got told..."pipe isn't cheap" I had to have the exhaust reworked by another shop within a couple weeks. This place is a hack shop. I have been to masters touch about 3 times. The first time was for an oil change and the cost was $81 (that could be normal but I just moved here from a smaller town so thought it was a little spendy), then next time I went I asked for an oil change and an overall inspection on my car as winter was approaching the cost was $57, the third time I went in I asked for an air filter change and an oil change (they had a special on oil change for $49.99 that included an inspection, alignment check, fluid top off, clean tires and wheels, I waited for an hour then was ready to pay they charged me $177 for an oil change and an air filter change (which I looked up the price for one for my car and was $25). They sent me a link for my inspection and the report showed steering parts were checked but not a full alignment. When I got in my car I got the warning that my wind shield wiper fluid was empty, I called them and explained that was a high price and I'm unhappy with the service. I said you charged me $60 for labor FOR AN AIR FILTER CHANGE (which I watched a 1 minute video of how to change a filter in my specific car and that does not look like it should be a $60 labor charge, you guys charged me $50 for a new air filter (which mine was $25), and my fluids were not topped off, and my tires and wheels are not cleaned. That was everything included in the "special". He explained that they go through another company for labor prices so I would have to go through them and they were also out of windshield wiper fluid but forgot to state that to me at my service. He did say if I am unhappy with the service they can credit my account with a free oil change for next time. I said thanks and hung up. Overall their pricing and specials seem like a scam. They are VERY nice people but I don't think I will be going back there. Price fluctuates too much that is a red flag, they barely had answers for the charges they charged me besides I have to talk to their labor company. Master's touch automotive blew them all out of the water! first of all when you drop your car off, you, tell them what you want done to your car. They don't begin suggesting rotations and updates and diagnostics. They immediately listen to what you want and aim to get that done, specifically. next, they have two in-house mechanics perform diagnostics. You immediately get double analysis. Then they text you or email you a full detail with photos and explain exactly how much it's gonna cost. You can look through it and determine what you want and what don't you want! The pictures are high-quality, so you can see any issue that exists. Then, they send you a form to place checkmarks next to what you're getting done . No fluff, no confusion, no selling you extras, you check what you want in the box. Then when they fix your vehicle and you go to pick it up, the price is exactly what you agreed to when you checked those boxes. no hidden fees. they do exactly what they say. They're gonna do, no more no less. Professionally, they recommend what else is needed, at pick up, but they only say it once. Then finally they send you out the door with a small assortment of candies. Half the hourly rate of any local car dealer. Are you kidding, I had to try these guys. When I was given a recommendation to take my 2015 Honda to Masters Touch Automobile, LLC in St. Peters, MO I liked it so much I wanted to be sure I everyone knew. Not only did Masters Touch Automobile get me in within an hour but completed the repair in 2 hours. Best part is they were half the price of a large local chain of repair locations. Their hourly rate is $50.00 an hour lower than most shops and $75.00 lower than dealers. Its like paying 1980 prices all over again. If you have one of those labor intensive auto repair where the parts costs $30.00 but the labor is $400.00 to install it, you gotta try these guys. (They seemed to build my Honda around my starter so I gave up quick) I don't know how they do it but I am glad I found them. The drive I made from St. Charles, MO for my auto repair was worth every penny. The owners name is Bill and he will take great care of you. Tell him Jim on Yelp sent you. The owner is completely unprofessional. I was referred to him through a friend because my vehicle needed routine maintenance. He insisted running diagnostics on my car even though I told him that is not what I wanted and only wanted him to quote me on the specific service items that were due. When his price was 50% higher than my dealership (who I already had a quote from), he proceeded to scream at my friend (he refused to call me with the quote) calling her all sorts of names and is refusing to take my calls. If you want to deal with a misogynistic jerk, Bill's your man. But if you want to be treated with respect, go elsewhere. read more

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value Took my vehicle to this place in June to get my A/c fix. The radiator fan continued to run after they "fixed" the A/c. I spoke with the mechanic & the owner immediately while my car was still on there parking lot about my fan continually running after the car was off and both guys said it normal b/c the temp outside was averaging high 90 degrees. The problem persist weeks later and I call to inform them and the response was the same. So I waited until the weather broke to call them back about the same issue. Today they fix the problem. I was quoted around $337.00 but they tried to charge me over $500.00. They wanted to charge me $120.00 for a diagnostic that was never quoted to me. The mechanic came to me very hostile and explain that if I would've brought my car back to them when the problem first started then I would not have been charge. I tried to respond but in .2 seconds of my response he cut me off and said he's not going to argue with me and that $120.00 is nothing. When I was finally able to explain to him everything his response was simply "miss communication"..... I've spent close to $5,000 with this shop within a few months but you can bet every dollar in your bank account they will never receive a single penny from me or my family ever again. P.S the mechanic told me to take my car somewhere else to get other work done and not them which they wanted to do in the first place. 2) P.S. It should not have been my responsibility to go over and above to defuse tension with a mechanic all b/c of his ego or bias perspective or inability to communicate. Your issue was not related to the a/c issue. It took over 1.5 hours to diagnose the problem. The diagnostic charge is standard everywhere. You signed the repair order authorizing this when you dropped off car. The time we spend isn't free nor are the equipment and tools we have to use to diagnose your car. However it was not charged to you after you complained. The service advisor was not hostile and did what he needed to do to satisfy your issue. Yet you choose to leave us a negative review. As for telling you to take your car elsewhere for repair you were told you could go anywhere to have it fixed but you needed to do so. You have not maintained your vehicle properly and it is a safety issue to have a bad transmission mount. We are not here as a non profit organization and we know are prices are fair. You will find that wherever you go there will be a diagnostic charge and there is not a shop out there that will be more honest and ethical than ours. I wish you the best of luck and again am sorry you felt mislead. ((UPDATED RESPONSE from the customer 11-8-2021)) Very condescending & bias of the owner to respond in such a way but it was expected. On 6-17-2021 I've spent $2,141.55. Then on 6-30-2021 I've spent $2,497.53. Then on 11-3-2021 I spent $386.79. Only after I encounter a very negative experience will the Bias and Incompetent OWNER refer to my car as a "safety issue". And to mention a "non profit"..... It seems that you're butt hurt b/c you NEVER should have charged me over $500 when I was quoted $357.00 for a problem that I mention to you and your INCOMPETENT mechanic the last time I paid you guys to work on my car. I recommend thinking twice before taking anything to this shop. My wife and I had the worst experience with a business of our lives with this place and I truly regret ever stepping foot in there. Over a span of a few weeks and about $700 lost, we ended up with the exact problem with our car that we had before going into this shop. Between my wife and I, we were in this shop a total of 6 times and the simple problem was never fixed. To make matters worse, we never got any money back and were treated very poorly. After a traumatizing experience with this place, we eventually had to take it to a different mechanic who quickly resolved the check engine light codes in a matter of a day and a fraction of the price. The issues started from the first time we took it in. They were very rude to begin with when I asked questions about what they were fixing but I decided to go through with it anyway due to the $90 inspection fee we already paid. Whenever I picked the vehicle up the first time to be fixed, I noticed the check engine light still on. They told me to come back in and I waited about an hour and a half for the tech to determine the same codes were still coming up. I then was told they couldn't fix it for another week. Then, a few days later, the lady at the front desk calls me and tells me that the day we scheduled didn't work for them anymore. So, we pushed it back again. Finally, I brought it back again for another full day of work. When I came in, the lady at the front yelled at me and ripped up a piece of paper in rage when I asked a simple question. After her outburst, they told me that one of the parts was bad that they put in and that it caused the codes to be still active. This didn't make much sense because they charged me for two different parts for two different codes and both were still active. After this, I no longer saw the check engine light and I went along my way thinking I was done with this shop, finally. Shortly after, I had a deal in place to sell the vehicle thinking everything was fixed. I was informed by the new owner that it would not pass the state emissions test due to there being codes active. Additionally, the Dobbs he took it to said that he suspected someone knew about the codes and manipulated the check engine dash indicator light. Dobbs pulled up the same exact codes that I had paid Masters Touch to fix and I was shocked. So, I called them back up and told them exactly what was going on. Then, the owner aggressively told me that Dobbs was trying to screw me over and told me to bring it back in. I had to take back the car I was selling and noticed that the check engine light would not illuminate at all when you turn the key over like it should. I then suspected that Masters Touch had not actually fixed the car and could have possibly manipulated with the light as they were the last one's to touch it. It had only been two weeks maximum since they were supposed to fix it. I called the owner of this shop again when I picked up the car to tell him the light wasn't coming on at all even though there were codes active and he then started screaming at me at the top of lungs and threatening to sue me for slander. I never accused them of anything. I just stated the facts. Next, my pregnant wife took the car up to them by herself thinking she could resolve it by being nice and cordial. She asked if they could inspect it and the owner immediately started to yell at her and verbally abuse her. She asked him to stop and he wouldn't stop yelling. Eventually, a tech had to tell him to stop. She was in tears by this grown man getting in her face yelling at her and putting his finger in her face. He told her that I could not come back or he would call the police and sue me for slander. At this point, we tried everything in our power to resolve this with them. We then had to take it to another mechanic, and he confirmed that the same codes were active, but no dash indicator light would come on. The new place fixed the real issue which was only a $24 part and it was completed the very first time we took it to him. So, to sum up our experience, we lost about $700 that we paid to them and had to pay someone else to actually fix it. Not to mention the hours and hours it took to resolve everything they did to us. Beware, my vehicle was damaged by a local oil change company. I will not mention their name, because they are not part of this complaint. They were actually great to work with. The owner diagnosed my vehicle and gave me a price. My personal mechanic was quite a bit cheaper so I asked that he do the work. The owner became irritated, and became extremely unprofessional. I had my car towed with a brand new part in it, and somehow that brand new part was broken by the time it got to my mechanic. I cannot 100% say they did it, but how does a brand new part get broken from point A to point B.The owner was extremely upset because he did not win the business, he did not have to be rude. Also, the part he ordered ended up being the wrong part ultimately. I am open to answer any questions or concerns, I would just be very careful. Don't let the kind dog sitting at the front desk fool you, this guy is unprofessional. In response the the CYA statement below, the reason I was never charged was because I did not allow the shop to do any work on my vehicle. My mechanic luckily knew the part store that the owner got the part from, the parts mgr looked at it and said yes "the part is broken". And he switched it out as a courtesy. Ultimately this ended up being the wrong part anyway. My mechanic advised that I show the shop owner the part needed. The owner replied " I know what part is needed". Ultimately, this was not the right part so I question their ability to even order parts. The parts shop and oil change facility that used were both given great reviews, Masters touch is sour because they did not get the business. I gain nothing from this review, I'm just putting it out there so people do their homework first. On a side note, I told the owner I had my own parts on order. He said he could not install them. This policy quickly changed when I requested the vehicle be towed to my mechanic. I want nothing free, I just know bad business when I experience it. read more

Bill and his crew are simply the best at what they do! They don't have a fancy waiting room or a big screen TV to keep you occupied. What they do have is quality service as a price about half what most other auto repair shops charge. Their turnaround time is great and the work is also top notch. Even more importantly, they are honest and will not try to pull one over on you - even if you're a woman who doesn't know much about vehicles. My husband knows cars and does most of our work, but when it comes to something he is not sure of, we take our vehicles straight to Master's Touch. This was my first time having my car serviced here! We've been looking for an honest auto shop! We found it! I would HIGHLY recommend this shop! I can personally say they're very honest and very reasonably priced! I was told from another auto place that I needed my back shock replaced and wanted to charge me 500.00. I asked them to give me a second opinion and they had the opportunity to tell me I needed it done but they told me I did not need it! Now that's honesty!
