I highly recommend this garage if you are looking for an honest and fair priced garage that you can count on. I have had work done there before which I was very pleased with in many ways. The service by the attendant that check you in and listen to what the problem is with your car are very helpful and courteous. Whatever is wrong they explain exactly what they found and how they will fix it and then of course the price is always just right. This last time I thought I had an oil leak, they took the time to put me on their schedule, checked it out completely, explained what they did and the conclusion they came to, and in this case they found no leak at all. This is a public service announcement posted with the intent to protect fellow members of the community. No names are going to be named I just wanted to make everyone aware of potential criminal activity . Ofallon Garage employed a professional credit/ debit fraudster who is still currently working there. They store the credit card information for months then will use it later, long after the time of a purchase made at Ofallon Garage so the unsuspecting victims wouldn't know where the charges came from. The owner is well aware of this is knowingly having the fraudster dealing with your sensitive data. I've heard of multiple people having fraudulent charges occur on their account. This is the worst shop to bring your vehicle to. I had my girlfriend's Acadia towed to this shop for starting issue. After the mechanic took a look at it, he couldn't figure out the issue and said I would need to take it to a GM dealer. Turns out the mechanic found some wires he had no idea what they were and cut them out. These wires were part of the after market remote start that was installed by another shop. I brought this concern to the shop manager and he said they wouldn't charge us for "looking at it" but they weren't going to fix anything. We were also told that the mechanic who worked on it doesn't work for him but rather works behind the shop. So not only did I pay to tow it to the shop, I had to pay to tow it to a GM dealer to fix the mess they had made cutting the wire harnesses and then pay another $1000 to install a new remote start system all cause they were incompetent, shady and screw people over. I will give them credit for making it look like they were being nice and not charging us to look at it but really they were making sure they couldn't be held liable cause with no charge, no official service was provided and according to the shop it was taken to the mechanic who worked on it "doesn't work for them". Please do not put yourself in that position to be screwed over or taken advantage of and ripped off by OFALLON GARAGE when there are other reputable shops like AUTOTECH or LENS or LTS or MEYER AUTOMOTIVE in the area. I'm so upset with the way I was treated here. I got a rental because they told me it was going to take day and a half. 2days later we call them thinking it must be done we haven't heard from them. My husband left work early to go pick it up. They said they hadn't even looked at it yet! Zero communication and terrible customer service. So service could be good but we won't be finding out. read more

These guys are old school mechanics that are honest and knowledgable. Reasonably priced and a good place for repairs such as alternators, water pumps, and sensor issues. They don't to internal engine and transmission work but can refer you to other good shops that do if you need that. read more

I called them before dropping my car off to tell them I was having transmission problems. They said bring it by. Then charged me $80 to tell me they don't work on stuff like that. Additionally, the shop that I took it to to fix the transmission problem (same day I picked it up from OFallon Garage) - which actually turned out to be my axle - told me it had a bad oil leak which it didn't have before I left it in their care. I've been going here for over 15 years. They always take care of me. I can trust their work and always refer them when others need work on their car. I'm thankful to have found such good people. My grandfather and uncles are mechanics so I know a lil about cars and that is important when going to mechanics but even though I'm a woman these guys are honest, trustworthy and reliable. Cannot say enough good things about this place. If you want a trustworthy garage that isn't just trying to take your money, go see Dennis. I've taken my car in several times for random stuff and they've diagnosed it for free, they've only ever charged me if work was really needed. I've had the dealership try to scare me into work so many times only to take it to Ofallon Garage to find out nothing was needed. They don't do unnecessary work and always look out for your wallet. I have been taking my cars to O'Fallon garage for 15+ years. I'm always satisfied with their work and feel comfortable when I pick up my car. I know it's fixed right and at a fair price. Because I'm a gal, I've been cheated by mechanics, auto repair shops, etc..(some of them are in O'fallon). O'Fallon Garage is one of the only places that I can honestly say that I have never felt like they "pulled the wool over my eyes" or led me astray. As a woman in a male dominated field, I never felt like they were laughing at me behind my back when i explained something by trying to imitate a noise i heard from the car or told me i needed something expensive when i didn't (halogen fluid anyone?) Everything they have ever repaired has been what they said it would be, AT THE PRICE THEY QUOTED ME. If it's not, they call and get your approval before beginning any work. No fancy talk or talking over my head, just straight talk and honest work. They even understand when you tell them, you're short of funds and can they fix just what it takes to get it on the road. They'll schedule the bigger cost later. I have just never had that nagging feeling like OMG! i paid THAT MUCH!! When you won't tell your friends how much you paid for something, you know something's wrong. I have never had that gut feeling at O'Fallon Garage. If you're a gal by yourself (or a guy who doesn't work on cars) I DEFINITELY recommend O'Fallon Garage for your car repairs. I scheduled an appointment and made arrangements to get to and from work for Jay to say that he didn't have time to fix a check engine light. I scheduled another appointment for tomorrow and confirmed with Dennis that my engine light would be fixed and my inspection done. I dropped my car off tonight to have Jay get an attitude and say that he will reset the engine light and fail my inspection. I do not have time for these games! I recently had my '04 Camry towed there for repair. They gave me price quote and said would be done the following day or the following morning depending on part arrival. They called next day, said they got wrong part, couldn't get the right part, and can't fix it. The part was a throttle body. I had to get car towed back. I'm out $100, and back where I started. I see why they have such a good relationship with towing company. read more
