Their prices constantly go up and their quality constantly goes down. Used to include cleaning rims, not even $30 will get you this very basic thing. This was a weirdly exhilarating experience. My car (Snow white) looked anything but white and she badly needed a wash. Since i was in the area, I stopped by the autospa on a whim. I approached the attendant station and she recommended the $15 car wash that includes towel drying especially since it was 25 degrees outside and the possibility of having your car door frozen shut with you inside was highly likely. I entered the wash bay and was instructed by another attendant using a tv monitor to place my car in Neutral, let go of the steering wheel and remove my foot from the brakes or accelerator. Call me crazy ..... Call me old school but letting go of my baby is terrifying!!! But I figured since other vehicles emerged dent free... mine would be fine. The system maneuvered my car through the wash cycle with ease and Snow white emerged dazzling white again!!! I drove to the right Express lane and in no time, an employee came over with two towels in hand and gave Snow white the ultimate rubdown!!! I loved every minute of it. I've gone here a couple of times now. Can't afford to get my car washed at one of these "full service" places real often, but I use them when my car or Jeep has gotten dirty enough that it's going to be a big project getting it clean in my driveway at home. Anyway, I've been satisfied both times. I went with the $35 wash and wax with all the "extras" (because hey -- if I'm going to make the trip and only do this once in a long time, may as well do the works!). I wish it was a little cheaper. I feel like when I lived back in the midwest, I could get comparable service for about $10 less. That's really the main reason I can't give 5 stars. But at the end of the day? They did exactly what was promised. (And kudos to them for using the little air freshener packets they toss under your seat. Those things last longer and smell better than the sprays other places tend to use.) read more

I've been a monthly "Unlimited" member for about 3 years now. I take my 2013 Corvette Grand Sport and my 2013 Cadillac SRX through almost daily. The Lava Wax makes both of my cars look like glass! I use both cars extesively and they always look showroom ready! I love this place!!! The monthly membership is the best investment I have ever made! I have ALWAYS received "Best in Class" services from the Fredericktowne Autospa. Even when they have issues with the tunnel from time to time(blame the high volume of satisfied customers)the management will always go out of the way to ensure your vehicle is washed and sparkling clean. My clients, neighbors, friends, family, and also my coworkers notices how consistently immaculate both my cars are daily and I tell them go to Fredericktowne AutoSpa! I purchase a monthly subscription, today the Gate Operator was very rude, when my gate opened during a line she threw open the single pay gate causing tension Among the patrons and then laughing about it, as we sat there, this isn't the first time this young lady has messed up the incoming lines, pretty pathetic to sit and wait 15 minutes when just something in the manor of paying attention , we were thinking about bringing our fleet in with additional contracts but I fear delays such as this would hurt productivity. I recommend probably educating my staff on proper operation and people skills, had I owned this business she would be walking off my job site. This would not really bothered me but my son's flight was leaving Washington in an hour, Returning to the Air Force , and this stress was not necessary , Top it off cars in the finishing area where blocking each other backing up the wash. They do a great job most of the time. A few times they have pulled up on the floormats prior to unsnapping them (causing the snaps to break off) so we try and remember to do that when we are waiting in line. We have noticed that when its busy the vacuuming is sometimes not as good. Also it seems now that there is no longer a rain policy due to their membership washes. We have several vehicles so the Club Membership is really not appealing to us. We do think the auto wash does a great job and will continue to use. Staff is always pleasant! read more

I honestly think this place is a rip off. I got the $35 platinum package thinking I was gonna get my car cleaned inside and out nicely. To my surprise the only thing I got done correctly was the vacuuming part of the interior of my car. When I asked why my dashboard and my doors were still dirty one of the ladies at costumer service told me I had to pay $20 extra and schedule an appointment just to get my doors cleaned, to me that's ridicules. You're better off going down the road to the Shell car wash and paying $42 to get everything done together. I'm honestly not coming back after this one time. read more

My wife and I moved to Frederick recently and this was our first - and last - visit to Fredericktowne Auto Spa. (Note: date of service was 12/21/16.) We've lived in several states and some very, *very* expensive areas (Honolulu, for one) but never have we paid so much for so little at a car wash service. I ordered the "Platinum Spa Package", their top of the line service, which was $40. I was a little surprised by the price as the included service items were the same as those we paid $28 or $29 for in the last city we lived in - which, again, was *much* more expensive of an area to live in than Frederick is. It was cold and a little windy so I just did a cursory look-over at the car before I left. Then, when I got home and parked, I was in for a shock. I found the following problems: 1. Dust, hair and some other random items on the leather seats despite paying to have them cleaned. 2. Floor mats were surprisingly dirty still - and I have Weatherguard mats , which are insanely easy to clean thoroughly. 3. Large missed spots on the exterior of the car - this despite having OptiCoat Pro, a very expensive (over $600 per vehicle), imported paint coating applied by a high-end detailer just 6 weeks ago, which allows most dirt and grime to be rinsed away and the rest gently washed. Plus, the car is only 6 months old so it's not like there's anything resembling a finish problem. 4. Water spots from bumper to bumper and top to bottom. As I mentioned above, we are used to paying $28 or $29 for the same services as are included in this "Platinum Spa Package", and an INFINITELY better job done with exponentially more attention to not only the details but to the general wash itself. The only good thing is that we decided to try Fredericktowne Auto Spa with one of our two vehicles first before bringing the second one in. Needless to say, we won't be back and I certainly won't be able to "recommend" them to anyone we know here. Very, very disappointed. I am extremly sad to write this post but it must be written.I was a happy customer for 15 years and became a member.However I cancelled my membership as they dont really do anything but vacuum the car anymore and the staff has become worse in the work and managment really doesnt care..Now they will try to say I always had excess trash in my car on occasion or two that is true but regulary for 15 years thats not true. 60 a month to vacuum a car isnt reasonable but its a lesson for me to stop being lazy and vacuum my car...Most happy reviews are people who brought their new vehicles in? I'm fairly new to the auto spa in Frederick, I've been there twice with two different cars: First experience was not so good! They barely vacuumed the interior at all under the $26 package. When I pointed it out they were like sir you have to spend more money for a better service. I was thinking well that's BS and so the manager basically told me sorry about your luck! Like a idiot I would go back a second time but this time I brought in a brand new Honda 2016. I paid the $40 for the all out detailing service this time. The cleaning was worse than the first one! The rims weren't touched, the vacuum job was terrible, the door jams untouched. The biggest scam was when the manager looks at the car and says I have to pay for the bug removal on the hood. He eyes it up and says it will be an extra $ 10 for that ... lol (might I add no one else was in line behind me) I'm a business owner and 5 cars in the family, Best of luck to you Auto Spa! Went in to redeem a free Ultimate wash. Ok, it was free, but that means that I paid full price as a Loyal customer to get free wash. Ultimate is defined as sub-par wash job per F-town Auto Spa. Should get the works. Drove in, went thru the machine, parked car to "pay" for wash and before I was done at the register, 5 guys were all standing around acting like there was nothing to do. I was the only car. I watched as under 5 min. vacuums went in and nothin else. Some guy comes in and says I am done. I asked the cashier what the Ultimate means and he read off a list of things. I went out to the car to see that the front section was vacuumed and back floor - but entire (seats down) back floor area was missed. Dust on all the interior doors, dirty door jams, seats dusty, dirty mats, rims half cleaned, windows still showing dirt ... Unreal. Went in to tell someone inside and someone else comes out to reclean. Thanks for using glass cleaner on the doors jam paint to clean what 5 other guys should have done. Not the best choice of cleaner!!! Thanks to the original assistant who seemed to think it was funny his buddy had to come out and reclean. Laughing as he watched. Thanks for not taking the initiative to SEE that it was subpar and doing it right without me asking. More assistants is what someone else asked for- well they had at least 8 guys out there and all stood around. Thanks for the guy in the tunnel that was more interested in getting back to his bucket and cellphone than pre spraying my car as they have done in the past. Not Ultimate- more like Utterly disappointing and horrible. What are you paying all those guys for again? Terrible overhead makes for terrible profit. !! read more

My service was decently priced and it was vacuumed pretty well, but I was watching someone vacuum my car and saw that there was a dollar on the floor. The person vacuuming put the dollar in their pocket. After I approach someone about this they said that they had no idea what I was talking about. Honestly it was just one dollar, but you couldn't just say that you forgot to give it back to me? Don't leave anything valuable in your car or else someone might snatch and you will not get back. I had my 2018 Nissan Altima with 700 miles cleaned there on Friday. It was very busy that morning. When completed, I looked over the vehicle and it looked clean. When I got home, I noticed a lot of water spots on the car and the windows were not clean. I had the Platinum wash for $35.00. My car wasn't real dirty when I went in and I felt that since it was fairly clean, not much attention was paid to my vehicle. I noticed a lot more attention being paid to the more pricey vehicles than mine. I paid money like the other customers and I would expect the same services. I had a monthly package last year on my new Chevrolet Silverado but had to cancel due to my vehicle being damaged by the wash, (scratches). If I do return I hope for some improvement. read more

This place is fantastic as long as they are not slammed! They get very busy on the weekends so I suggest going during the week if it's convenient. I also suggest purchasing the monthly wash package for $49.99 because it pays for itself in 2-3 washes and you can go once a day every day of the month if you want. They also own the one in Germantown off of 118 & 355 so if you are down that way you can stop there as well. Efficient, reasonable rates, and here is why I really gave them 5 stars...one time they were having an issue with the mechanics and they had to run my car through 3 times in order to get all the soap off. Obviously I was frustrated but I did not say anything. While my car was being dried off, the manager who had been informed by another employee of the issue apologized and gave me a card for a free service next time. I just got the basic car wash, no toweling or vacuuming. $9 seems a bit high for that, but it was mid winter and my car was very dirty. A very long line to get to the wash. The guy at the front end did minimal work on the car. The car washed quite well. But I had to wait in line at the exit behind people who were getting towel dried. I went by at lunch for my usual weekly cleaning, I'm am an unlimited member, and I was informed that last week my monthly charge did not go through since they were updating their system and all credit card information had to be provided again. The auto spa service has declined tremendously! My fiance used to work for the WLR company and we would take all our vehicles to the auto spa and we rarely had a bad experience. Lately it has been horrible!! The most recent time we went we paid for the silver level and there was still gunk on the windows, dried milk on the inside, the vacuuming was done poorly, and we didn't receive the air freshener that we were suppose to get with the package. Christmas Eve: very poor wash/clean not too busy but they were having issues with the washing process. Line was backed up for a few minutes. Once my car came out of the wash process, wipe down was quick and no attention to detail whatsoever! As the vehicle moved up the line, it sat for 20 minutes with no activity due to having 5 or 6 workers working on a pick up truck due to a complaint from the truck owner. My windows are streaky, my outside side mirrors were filthy as the washing process was almost inoperable nor did the workers clean them, windows were not even wiped. The window spray dried all over the body of my car, all in all a bad job and I called later and spoke to Tim and all he did was state excuses, short staffed, blah blah blah and never once offered a solution. The process today was a total mess of disorganization and no follow up on vehicles to ensure properly cleaned. Very dissatisfied, I have been a customer for 18+ years. 'Well ma'am we can charge you an extra $30 for bug removal" I stopped by today for the first time in a year (because the service sucked backed then) it was slow so I figured they could spend the time on getting it right... Nope!!! I was told it was my problem I had so many bugs on it... My rims are still dirty and there are still leaves in the grill... NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! UPDATE: Following intervention by Customer Service, the issue detailed below was escalated to John Gay, Managing Partner, WLR Automotive Group. After a meeting to review the damage - and a bit of running around to obtain a variety of estimates - Mr. Gay requested that the car be taken to Fredericktowne Auto Repair (the shop affiliated with the AutoSpa) for replacement of the damaged dash components, with the cost of repair covered in full by the company. The car was dropped off at Fredericktowne Auto Repair on 2 January. Thomas Seales (Location Manager), Larry Bradley (Assistant Location Manager) and their team were a pleasure to deal with! The repair was not trivial as it required removal of the entire dash console (involving electrical connections, the steering column, and both air bags) and was time consuming (the estimate was 11 hours of labor). To facilitate speedy repair, they had pre-ordered parts - including console parts not technically damaged by the AutoSpa but in danger of being damaged upon removal. From the time the appointment was set until the car was returned they kept in constant contact, updating me on availability of parts, extent of damage, and the status of repairs. When an issue arose that highlighted the visual difference between undamaged console parts and replacement parts they clearly explained and outlined the cost of my options. The car was picked today. You would never know the dash had ever been damaged - or repaired. WLR Automotive Group deserves recognition for excellent customer care and Fredericktowne Auto Repair deserves major kudos for a job very well done! I rescind the comment below. WLR's corporate culture states that their business is all about the customer. They certainly demonstrated that to be true in this case. ************************************************************************************************************************ I took my 2000 Eclipse into the Fredericktown Auto Spa on 10/26. The car only has 120000 miles on it and has been well taken care of. The dash had a small crack (which is still there!) from a previous windshield replacement but was intact when it went in. When it came out, the dash was in pieces. No one made me aware that they had damaged the car at the time of the incident or even when they returned it to me! The exposed radio and shards of plastic everywhere, however, were an obvious indicator that someone had done something very wrong. I immediately spoke to Will, the facility manager. He indicated that they were under no obligation to cover the repair as the dash may have been brittle due to age, but that they would do so anyway. He sent me right over to their affiliated auto shop. The manager of the auto shop examined the damage and was going to research part availability. He promised to get back to me by 3:30 that afternoon. Instead I received a follow-up call from the manager of the auto spa. The repair estimate came back at $2000+ due to the difficulty of replacement and cost of replacement parts. Accordingly they informed me that they will not repair the car due to the cost - but were willing to pay for a dash pad to "cover the damage". Since I have now have exposed electronics and a potential safety issue with the dash, this is not an acceptable solution! I would seriously think twice before trusting anyone in this chain of facilities with any of my automobiles. read more

I called this number over twenty times and just as I figured no one answer the phone so I left twenty messages with a woman called Ashley and have not received a call back yet nor do I expect to so if your car is damage at this car wash do not hold your breath about anyone who gives a crap about fixing the damage. They wipe the windshield and dash so violently and carelessly that more than once they have knocked my phone cradle clean off the dash and left it on the floor. One time they also moved my rear view mirror completely sideways for some reason and just left it. They shake out my floor mats but don't snap them back down and I don't realize it until I am already driving and it slides up under the pedals. They have NEVER cleaned my rear window completely. I understand its hard, but guess what... THATS YOUR JOB! If you don't like it go find another one. They have NEVER wiped down my navi screen. They have NEVER wiped down my wheels. Wow... typing all of this is beginning to make me feel like the idiot for returning so many times. Congratulations Auto Spa. You have successfully made one of your customers feel like an idiot. I'm done. Auto Spa, reply if you dare. But I warn you, the scraped part of the wheel is machined, not painted. It will cost less to replace than to attempt a repair. read more

One manager was very rude and the other was a little helpful. He claimed they were too busy to help me. I don't know where the usual manager was. He was a great asset to the company.
