This is not a truck but a trailer that looks like it's changed hands a couple of times with signees and tape blocking parts of the trailer. It's half the size of the regular trucks but it gets the job done. I posted a picture of the menu so everyone can see what they have. A steak burrito is $6.50 flat that comes with steak, rice, beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato, cilantro and onion With sour creme and two sauces on the side. I watched the lady make my burrito through the window and man was there a mountain of food piled high, I didn't think she was going to roll it up but she did. My first impression upon opening the box was that this is a huge burrito, see the pictures. It was packed so much that the filling was falling out when I picked it up and it was a two hander to keep it from falling over. My first couple bites in and I was really liking the burrito because of all the layers of flavor. All the fresh vegetables playing with the beans, rice, meat and cheese was really good. I got through about half of the burrito and experienced no weird chewy gristle pieces that some trucks have in the meat. I'm really glad that I decided to go back because I really enjoyed the steak burrito and it was one of better street burritos I have had. Great job.

Comparing to photos of their south side truck, the menu on the north side is much smaller, with steak, pork (al pastor) and chicken the only options listed on the menu. You can get them in tacos, burritos, quesadillas and a taco dinner with rice and beans. Perhaps they have a larger menu on weekend, I'm not sure. I got two pork and one steak taco, because al pastor is generally my fave. Surprise, the steak won the day today though. It was chopped steak, as most taco trucks are, but it was super tender, almost like they braised it first. Great flavor too, much beyond the steak at other places that I find bland. The al pastor was good too, but I like the pork better other places. It was quite well done here with lots of crispy bits and I think I detected a hint of pineapple once or twice, but couldn't make out any pieces by looking at it. Tacos came with big wedges of lime, and you can do your own salsa from two squeeze bottles. The verde was mild and a little creamy; the red was hotter but tasted like burnt chiles. Perhaps they toasted them a bit too far before pureeing. Still, good heat to the red one. The tacos came by default on doubled corn tortillas and with cilantro and onion, which is perfect. If you order them "to go" you'll get a closed foam container in a bag, if you order them "for here" you get them on half a foam container. Would stop again if I'm in the area!

So Five Stars for the Fries and Two Stars for the Taco equals 3.5 Stars.

Food truck Friday!…read more I have noticed this food cart/truck always seem to be popular, and thought I would give it a try. I got the special today - 2 chicken chimichangas, and they were really good! It came with beans and rice, a little bit of salad and some avocados all in this little container. Really quite a bit of food for $7.75! Only suggestion for improvement was that they only have forks to give out, and you really did need a knife to cut the chimichangas, or just use your hands. Fortunately I brought it back to my place of work where I had all kinds of utensils.

The burritos come in some interesting styles and you can get burgers besides the Mexican food and even a cheesesteak. The guy working the truck explained the menu to me and I settled on the classic burrito with steak. My burrito was ready in minutes and man did the car smell good, dam that burrito smells really good was my first thought. The classic burrito is your choice of meat with beans, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cilantro and sour cream. My first bite was wow this is a tasty burrito so I tasted the steak by itself and it's either marinated or cooked on the grill in a sauce because it's seasoned and tasty. Second I was getting a nice garlic flavor and I couldn't tell if it was in the burrito or the red sauce I poured on the burrito, no matter because I liked it. One red and one green sauce came with the burrito with the red being hotter. I can't believe I am adding him to yelp because he said he has had the truck for a few years and with that tasty burrito no one add him. He got his steve stop by before he knew he needed one and now has a Yelp presence with pictures. I would definitely stop back when in the area to sample more of the menu.

Even if you don't need the cash, the little corner grocery has made maximum use of very little space (interesting in of itself) and there's a wider choice of beverages than the food truck offers.

When I joked that I didn't realize I could get three veggie tacos for $3, he immediately shut that down. I moved on and ordered a chicken quesadilla and elotes. When we got back to our hotel, I opened the bag and found that they gave me a chicken taco instead of the quesadilla I paid for. The food was subpar, and the customer service felt pushy and dishonest. But it was open and we were hungry, so we patiently waited in the chilly evening for the coveted tacos. The menu is quite extensive and included a large variety of taco meats as well as other Mexican staples such as enchiladas, taco salads, and quesadillas. Interestingly, the truck also offers hot dogs and hamburgers for the adventurers out there... But we came for tacos, so tacos we ordered. Warm corn tortillas and savory meats topped with onion and cilantro (and sometimes lettuce) definitely hit the spot after 30 minutes in line. I really enjoyed the pastor taco which was well-seasoned and juicy. My husband also liked the carnitas and barbacoa tacos he ordered. The asada taco, however, was less impressive and a bit bland for my taste. A friend also had some criticism of the Mexican corn, noting that it was "missing some ingredients" such as lime and cheese (which they had run out of). It came with a brownish red and green sauce with two lime wedges, the brownish was packing heat and made my nose run, that's how I like it. The three tacos were $5 flat and they were not skimpy on the meat at all because all three were loaded with meat. The tacos were tasty and the meat was moist like they were marinated or finished off on the grill in a marinade and great authentic flavor, no Taco Bell here. I must say that the Al Pastor was my favorite because it was just more flavorful than the Steak but I throughly enjoyed them both. Overall this place was a great find and not to mention very reasonable for some great tacos, I wish I knew where I found this truck because I was just driving around.
