    Roll MKE Truck

Food truck that isn't normally on Juneau. 2 steak tacos $7. Amazing seasoning and oh so filling.

    Well worth the wait

In the year that I've worked at Schlitz Park, I've taken advantage of almost every Take Out Tuesday offered. Basically, every Tuesday about 10-12 food trucks park along Cherry Street during lunch time and it's a great addition to the office park. In my time, I've experienced every truck I've desired and none has come CLOSE to being as good as Roll MKE. I've tried 2 different menu items over the last 3 weeks and have never been disappointed. Lets start with their burger. Seriously, the best thing I've ever eaten off of a food truck. It's quality angus beef, a delicious potato bun, a delicious sauce and a bacon jam that will blow your mind. I'm not smart enough to tell you what a bacon jam is, but it's absolutely freaking delicious. I've also had their Pulled Pork and it's one of the best bbq dishes I've eaten in Milwaukee. Tender bbq with the perfect amount of sauce, and a delicious coleslaw as well. Definitely looking forward to trying the beef brisket grilled cheese next week. I know these guys are at the US Bank Building Monday and Wednesdays, and I believe the courthouse on Thursdays...if you get the chance, you need to check them out.

I read about this food truck in my MKE Yelp weekly email, and it happened to be down the street from my place the next day! Coincidence? I think not. As others have mentioned, the quality of this food is good, the food is fresh, and the price is cheaper than what I've seen at other food trucks. I was lucky when I went because there was no line, and my food was ready fairly quickly. I had the Pork Belly sandwich and the poutine. Now, let me say that I've had my fair share of poutine in Canada at actual poutineries. This is the best poutine I've had in MKE. The fresh cut fries were perfect, and the gravy was not too heavy. Plus it had bacon. Nomz. The sandwich was equally as good, I mean.. it's pork belly. The sriracha mayo was a nice touch, and it was topped with a refreshing layer of veggies. Mmm. My mouth is watering just writing this. Anywho, I will definitely be back. If you haven't tried Roll MKE, I suggest you do that. You're missing out. Get them fries. Mmmm.

    Grilled cheese brisket and burger.

Heirloom MKE - Cheese curds with jalapeno ranch & roasted tomato jam

I got the beef tenderloin for dinner, the tenderloin was cooked perfectly medium. It was topped with blue cheese which was such a good combination. The potatoes and asparagus were also delicious. The short rib was also good, very tender. It came with lots of micro greens. The risotto was very creamy yet the vegetables in it cooked perfectly and added a nice crunch. The inside is small but has character. We went to celebrate a birthday which was acknowledged by the staff but nothing special was done.

The first time I came I had the Reading Rainbow which was sorbet, champagne, and basil infused vodka. It was such a fun drink that I've never seen anywhere else. The second time I came I had the matador Norton which was a tequila pineapple jalapeno cocktail which I also enjoyed. For a starter I've tried the cheese curds and we have tried the hand stretched burrata. The curds had a fantastic pull to them and I enjoyed the salsa and the jalapeno ranch paired with it. Now if you get an appetizer though get the burrata it is amazing. I think what helps put it all together is the strawberry salad with pistachios and honey, and just everything they put on it. For my entree both times I went were great. I've had the Banh Mi and I think it might be one of my favorite sandwiches in Milwaukee. The second time I came I had the Porchini dusted beef tenderloin which was super tender and delicious. I tried it with the blue cheese which I normally do not like and still didn't like but the meat is good and at least I tried it the way they intended. Also hospitality here is definitely top five that I have seen in Milwaukee out of all the restaurants that I've been to so definitely make the trip if you can

Double Dub's MKE - Lots of wings with varying sauces/seasonings, fries, and veggies with bleu cheese

But now that I've had Double Dub's in my life all other wings are nothing compared to them. The wings are perfectly cooked and dripping with sauce. Big juicy wings that there are plenty of meat on so you don't feel like you're not getting what you paid for. Service is always super fast, and I appreciate that they give you pagers so you don't have to keep track of when your food is supposed to be done or be standing around waiting but the truck. I like that they stuck with the theme throughout the naming of their sauces, the different meals that are offered, and the decor of their truck. The staff has always been super nice and helpful for answering questions. Also this is the only establishment I've found where I will order the fries every single time over the tater tots. I've had their tater tots and they're perfectly good tater tots, but Double Dub's does something to their fries that makes me want to get a job there just to know how they're made and seasoned. I dream of both their wings and fries, and I may have a new final last meal now that I've discovered the wonder that is Double Dub's.

For sauces we picked the: buffalo, cinna-bee, spicy bleu and the chili lime dry rub. The spicy bleu was BY FAR my favorite followed closely by the chili lime and buffalo. The wings were cooked perfectly with a good wing to sauce ratio. The fries were also excellent- think crack fries! The food truck staff were all very friendly. They rotate locations so be sure to check their website for their location- we visited at Ope which was great. Keep doing what you're doing Double Dub's we will be back for more
