We love their tacos. Great price. Great taste. Great service! Love the pork, beef & chicken (in that order). Really can't beat the prices!

I stopped at Heirloom MKE with a girl friend on a Thursday evening around 6PM. We didn't have…read morereservations but it wasn't too busy and we were seated right away outside. The weather was beautiful! Our waitress was very friendly and we were here for just one drink. We ended up staying for 2 drinks and an appetizer because we were really enjoying our time together. I had an Old-Fashioned, which I loved, and we ordered the Roasted Garlic Crostini to share. The appetizer was so good! We both loved the flavors and the creamy garlic spread. I'm looking forward to my next visit at Heirloom MKE!

Unfortunately, this restaurant is not baby friendly. When I raised concern about our party waiting…read moreat the bar as our table was set up with a high chair for 20 minutes (we waited ten minutes past our reservation time and were told it would be another ten), and said that I found that frustrating as it has been our experience every time we have been there (before children as well), I had the displeasure of interacting with one of the owners. She condescendingly informed me that they are a small business and implied that she did not have any empathy or understanding for our situation, as she said what did I expect when taking a baby out in public. Given that we chose this restaurant because we thought it would be baby friendly, we found her attitude very off-putting. When I stated based on how she was handling the situation, I did not feel comfortable or interested in eating there, she told me that I then should not eat there & when I said I would go speak to my husband regarding the matter, she said, "okay bye, leave!". Everyone has difficult days and while I try to be understanding of that, I don't think it was in any way an appropriate way to handle the situation & we will not be returning. If you have children, I would not recommend.

There's really nothing special about these soft shell street tacos. The chicken was bland although…read morethe chorizo was tasty... The tomatoes didn't appear fresh and the salsa was store bought (probably out of a can). I much prefer Cocina Real, Al Pastor, or Casa Noble. Disappointed overall since this place has 4.8 stars overall.

The truck is west of Oscars Winners Circle on Burnham St and I have seen it there a few times so it's probably a daily spot. Since I wanted something small what should I get, a taco/frijoles charros, 2 tacos and I settle on a taco and tostada feeling that this was just the right size. WRONG because the bag felt heftyer but not quite burrito heft. When I opened my container I noticed that the two items were generously topped and looked amazing with grilled pepper/onions/limes as a garnish. The Al Pastor taco was tasty on two corn tortillas with plenty of meat, red onions and cilantro. The star was the steak tostada piled high on a super crispy corn tostada with plenty of steak, beans, sour cream, two nice fresh avocado slices and cheese. The tostada was very good and bigger than I expected but than again it's not ordered very much by me so it's possible this was the norm, I couldn't finish the whole plate before I was full. Overall I really liked how they didn't skimp out on anything and for a food truck they make a great presentation with the food.

Always on the hunt for the best tacos, and I think we've stumbled upon the best tacos in Milwaukee!…read moreFYI - CASH ONLY. The truck itself is quite an experience with blaring house music to keep you occupied and your body groovin' while you decipher the authentic menu. They have hands down the best al pastor that I've had in the city so far, rivaling some of the al pastor tacos I had in CDMX. AND they have a trompo IN THE TRUCK. We ordered the asada alambres which came with a free mini baked potato. The tacos (you can choose from carne asada (steak), al pastor (pork), lengua (tongue), cabeza (head), tripa (tripe), chorizo, barbocoa, campechanos (steak and chorizo), and pollo (chicken) are all made to order, and you can choose cilantro and onions (yes, ALWAYS the right choice), or lettuce (that's a no for me, dawg). Everything came out PIPIN' HOT, and were still hot and not soggy as we drove it the 10 minutes home to eat. [Longest 10 minutes of my LIFE] On the ledge in front of the ordering window, there is a "salsa bar" that comes with five buckets of goodness to try: pico de gallo, pickled onions, green salsa, red salsa, and another pickled item that we didn't end up trying. The salsas were decent, but the pico de gallo and pickled onions were so simple but executed perfectly. Can I haz moar pls!? We also got the horchata which I wasn't a fan of, but these tacos were SOOOOO supreme, a mediocre horchata doesn't even move the needle. Can't wait to go back!

Don't be intimidated if you see lots of people in line or waiting, they are rightfully popular but I've never waited that long to eat. Generous portions, reasonably priced.
