I decided to order something that I usually never order, the tostada along with one taco. The steak taco was two corn tortillas, steak, onions and cilantro. Steak was plentiful and falling out ok, nothing super special. A taco for me is four bites and three of the four bites had chewy gristle in them which is disappointing and a turn off for me. My tostada was Al Pastor and piled high with pork, beans, lettuce, tomato and a pile of cheese. The shells were super crunchy from the fryer and two to hold up to hefty tostada. The tostada was tasty with all the crunchy and soft textures, clearly the winner over the steak taco. I have been to the restaurant and the West Allis truck, the truck about 15 times and I have never had any gristle in my food. The two trucks have different menus and I think the West Allis truck is better.

Followed by the Lengua tacos. WOW. Of course you have to try the Quesabirria Tacos w/consume. Dynamite! My wife always gets the chicken enchilada in salsa roja, my daughter a quesadilla (she boring). Jalisco has the BEST sides of rice and beans I've ever had in a Mexican establishment, great flavors and respect for the ingredients and cooking process so everything shines through. They have Elote too, not quite the traditional way but damn I can't stop eating it! I've tried almost the whole menu; the lomo en salsa de arbol, carne asada, chile rellenos, bistec à la mexicana, gorditas w/carnitas & chorizo. I could eat here everyday! It's a cute little place with great service. Recently I caught some World Cup action while we waited. Different beers and sodas (Modelo, Jarritos) are available, as well as fresh guacamole and pico de gallo. They make a spicy taco salsa that's the right amount of heat and flavor. Give the a try, you won't regret it! Never errored an order of mine either, very consistent - and affordable! Like wow!

The layout of the place is peculiar, and it didn't help that somebody left a broom and the garbage in the middle of room. The cook was also standing there, too; with his phone, just a few steps away from us. The whole things was weird and gave us the goosebumps. I wouldn't even try to go back.

Food: They have the usual selection that you find at many Mexican restaurants. We ordered a couple of margaritas, which came in large plastic mugs. They were delicious and refreshing. For food, we started with the guacamole. It was fresh and chunky, just the way we like it. The accompanying salsa, however, was a bit watery. We ordered several different tacos, including the Rib Eye (Taco de Lomo), pork, and chicken. The Rib Eye was the best of the group. It was well grilled, with a nice chew and excellent flavor. The pork and chicken tacos were good as well. The side of rice and beans was typical and not particularly impressive. The portions were generous, and all of the food was served at a good temperature. Service: We were seated right away and promptly received water and had our drink order taken. Our server was helpful and efficient, but not especially friendly. The food arrived after a short wait. We got the usual "How's your meal?" check-in, but there were no additional interactions. There was also no offer for additional chips or salsa. Atmosphere: The dining area is brightly painted and has a festive appearance. The restaurant looked a bit worn, and the floors could have used a little more attention. There were a couple of large groups dining during our visit, and it became quite loud at times. A good place if you're looking for a typical Mexican restaurant experience.

Service is friendly, and the establishment is what you want a good Mexican restaurant to look like. The TV playing '90s Mexican music videos was a nice bonus. This is the best Mexican food in Milwaukee, the closest thing to it, and probably still falling short would be Atotonilco in Chicago. Don't overdo the brats, and head on over here for delicious and authentic Mexican food.

Tortillas were crispy and fried to perfection. The consommé was delicious, had me drinking it straight out the cup and was well seasoned, hot, and was in its own something to right about. The red and green salsas were also good. Red having a bit of kick, green was flavorful. I will say that I wish one of them had more heat to it but the acidity and flavors were great. The beef itself was so flavorful and tender, well seasoned, not to mention had the perfect amount in each item. Also, Onions and peppers on the side were cooked great and had me going back for more each time. Also, get the horchata, it was spectacular. This place is small but decorated to really feel like the owners, workers, really care and take pride in the establishment. It had a great ambiance that was full of people on a rainy lunch hour, and I can see why. As a person who works in the industry as a cook, the kitchen, which you can see when you order is neat, clean, and truly has the right feel of 'they know what they're doing and they're doing it well'. 5 stars, will be talking about this meal for a long time and spreading the recommendation to as many people as I can.

I was hanging out with some friends (some were from El Salvador) after we performed the La Rueda in the parade. They wanted me to try this restaurant since I had never had food from El Salvador. I had the Revuelta, which was filled with beans, queso, and steak and they were so delicious! However, this time at the food truck, the toppings were a bit different. The Cabbage and Salsa had some kick to it and were marinated in some kind of liquid. I'm not sure what it was, but I definitely enjoyed this difference. They had some Specialty Pupusas, but they didn't get around to making them because the crowd was very large and they wanted to supply the regular Pupusas first before selling the Specialty ones. I'll definitely try them when I see this food truck again. Overall, I enjoyed my Pupusas and will definitely eat at this food truck again to try some of their other Pupusa varieties!
