Steak burrito with rice and beans.

El Comedor is an excellent place for some awesome food! Their burritos and tacos are amazing!! The prices are very reasonable and you get a good size portion with your meals. Each time I have gone, the wait time was not long at all. Definitely recommend!

Pretty new, so they have yet to establish a loyal fan base.

There are over a dozen good, authentic Mexican-American Guadalajara style family run restaurants within a very short walk of my house. Here's one more. Unlike the others, this one serves huaraches, and hamburgers, so that's a plus. Big windows so you can watch the traffic going by on National, it's in an old cream-city-brick building, another plus. The burritos are a little different (aren't they all?) this is the first Mexican place I've been to that puts rice in. It's also right at the bus stop. The horchata has a coconut milk taste which I really liked but the Chief of Staff did not (so I drank both). In Walker's Point/Walker's Square there are a number of places that serve Anglo-American style breakfast, and a number of places that serve Mexican-American breakfast, this one has both, but I have to come back to try that out. Prices are even cheaper than than my other favorite Mexican-American joints.

This was so good. El Comedor has great prices. Carne Asada tacos come with onion, cilantro and avocado. The best beans and rice! They were fast and really good. I'll be back since I work close by. A plus is the restaurant is really clean!

    Taco Dinner was great!

I got the beef tenderloin for dinner, the tenderloin was cooked perfectly medium. It was topped with blue cheese which was such a good combination. The potatoes and asparagus were also delicious. The short rib was also good, very tender. It came with lots of micro greens. The risotto was very creamy yet the vegetables in it cooked perfectly and added a nice crunch. The inside is small but has character. We went to celebrate a birthday which was acknowledged by the staff but nothing special was done.

The first time I came I had the Reading Rainbow which was sorbet, champagne, and basil infused vodka. It was such a fun drink that I've never seen anywhere else. The second time I came I had the matador Norton which was a tequila pineapple jalapeno cocktail which I also enjoyed. For a starter I've tried the cheese curds and we have tried the hand stretched burrata. The curds had a fantastic pull to them and I enjoyed the salsa and the jalapeno ranch paired with it. Now if you get an appetizer though get the burrata it is amazing. I think what helps put it all together is the strawberry salad with pistachios and honey, and just everything they put on it. For my entree both times I went were great. I've had the Banh Mi and I think it might be one of my favorite sandwiches in Milwaukee. The second time I came I had the Porchini dusted beef tenderloin which was super tender and delicious. I tried it with the blue cheese which I normally do not like and still didn't like but the meat is good and at least I tried it the way they intended. Also hospitality here is definitely top five that I have seen in Milwaukee out of all the restaurants that I've been to so definitely make the trip if you can

But now that I've had Double Dub's in my life all other wings are nothing compared to them. The wings are perfectly cooked and dripping with sauce. Big juicy wings that there are plenty of meat on so you don't feel like you're not getting what you paid for. Service is always super fast, and I appreciate that they give you pagers so you don't have to keep track of when your food is supposed to be done or be standing around waiting but the truck. I like that they stuck with the theme throughout the naming of their sauces, the different meals that are offered, and the decor of their truck. The staff has always been super nice and helpful for answering questions. Also this is the only establishment I've found where I will order the fries every single time over the tater tots. I've had their tater tots and they're perfectly good tater tots, but Double Dub's does something to their fries that makes me want to get a job there just to know how they're made and seasoned. I dream of both their wings and fries, and I may have a new final last meal now that I've discovered the wonder that is Double Dub's.

For sauces we picked the: buffalo, cinna-bee, spicy bleu and the chili lime dry rub. The spicy bleu was BY FAR my favorite followed closely by the chili lime and buffalo. The wings were cooked perfectly with a good wing to sauce ratio. The fries were also excellent- think crack fries! The food truck staff were all very friendly. They rotate locations so be sure to check their website for their location- we visited at Ope which was great. Keep doing what you're doing Double Dub's we will be back for more
