    Small, cold brownie. Tasty though.

A co-worker suggested this place, so I went to check it out for lunch. It's a quaint spot in a small business park and I got there about 30 minutes before they were closing (they close @ 2:30PM), but the ladies behind the counter were very gracious. There was no one else in the place and it looked as if they had just cleaned tables and mopped the floors. I ordered a 1/4 lb. burger with cheese basket with onion rings and a fountain drink. It took just about 10 minutes before my food came out and I was able to get it down in under 20 minutes. The burger was average size, but the two things that stood out to me were the freshness of the onions and lettuce and the huge, fresh, fluffy bun. The onion rings were pretty good and I wish that there were a few more rings in the basket. I also ordered a brownie and, although tasty, it could have been larger for the price. It had also been in the refrigerator, which made it cold. If you want a quick bite for lunch, that is fresh and filling, this spot should do. I can see another visit in the future.

Bringing them up two stars. Great burger and fries for sure. They've dropped the extra $1 beef charge from the receipts which was a dollar more than the menu price. Their prices have gone up as has everyone else's prices !! Let's Go Brandon - Let's Make America Broke Again !! Back to Freddy's. The owner, Freddy (imagine that), was surprised and happy to see my Houston Safety Team and I as it's been a while. We used to have an office next door and we ate here frequently. But since we relocated, about a year ago, we haven't been back. The dining area is clean, and tight, and it does get crowded.

The Plot: Mom and Pop place. Slightly above average industrial worker lunches and breakfasts are served. Many folks seem to know one another. But, one is missing, and a stranger shows up. Hmmm. Hey, this place is not a Nightmare on Rankin Street! Freddy is not Krueger, but this Freddy seems to have slashed the prices on some goods that are severed, ... errr, I meant "served". Menu has traditional hot and cold sandwiches, and nothing unusual ... Heart-healthy: several salads around $4.50; small tossed salad for $2 Heart-unhealthy: Gyros, burgers, Reuben, Muffaletta, and cold sandwiches Stranger's order: $7 for Philly Steak n Cheese Poboy with fries and a drink Autopsy: Taste was OK. Meat was dry and thinner-cut than a traditional Philly. It did not have many grilled onions and peppers. Poboy bread was smaller diameter, and was soft, untoasted. Fries were OK and plentiful. Overall, the basket was overpriced and not as tasty as it should have been. I probably would have been happier with the special of the day or a burger (something they have to get right, and apparently do). Summary: In the back roads, but convenient to the industrialists like Smith International and Baker Hughes, is a strip-mall deli with a very nice elderly couple serving decent food at decent prices, in general. No fancy décor, but it's not dilapidated, either. In many ways, it reminded me of Burger World, a couple of miles away.

he recommended me their most expensive sandwich, and I ordered it. It was very fatty with no side vegetable.

Servers dressed up and ready to serve ginormous portions of whatever you want for breakfast or lunch. Bring a large appetite. Large size sweet and sour pickles come 1st to table . Fresh squeezed juice as flavorful as ones we had on Amalfi coast. Signature Reuben served open or closed with thousand island dressing and extra sauerkraut was large enough to share for the boys. Their signature chicken soup with a bagel chip was served steamy hot as we like it. Even has the world largest chocolate Eclair filled with bavariancreme and topped with chocolate. This place would be popular in S. Florida and very happy is here for the locals. Looking forward to a return.

You are immediately transported into New York for sure! Along with New York, we got the schmucks attitude from the 2 men playing hosts. It was a non-busy Sunday night and these two wanted to sit my underage son and I at the bar. Really?! They were obnoxious and rude and put us on a wait list when there clearly were tables. However, my waiter and even the kitchen staff made up for that hiccup with their wonderful attitudes and service! As always, love the broadway decor and music- plus the tables and chairs set the nostalgia. The prices are exactly what you would expect in the Galleria area so don't think this is a quick cheap deli! Quality rules!

I mean my pocket book is probably better for it because I want to buy the whole store but honestly I've been missing out. The place is cute and welcoming from the corner sign on the building to the moment you step in- bright, inviting, great displays so you know where to go. You can't get lost in here with the signage, but you can't definitely get lost in the aisles with all the great, unique choices. The ready food display has so many Mediterranean treats, some I've had before some I've never heard of and everything I tried was amazing. We got the cabbage rolls and Armenian veggie dolmas. Great flavor, both specific items I haven't had before. Nice citrus, spiced flavor to these. I'd say they're have to try items. Not only found jarred tomato paste, which I've been on the hunt for but they had choices in this category and that's another first for me. Will have to go back and try the others. Also got the cured Serrano ham -amazing. And I thought the prices were going to be insane having a spot right in the middle of the city and nope- pleasantly surprised for my goodies, great prices even less than some of the other stores I frequent in the suburbs. I'll be back again and again and again until I try the whole store lol. Definitely give them a try, you won't regret it

Perfectly seasoned, crispy exterior. The sweet potato fries were equally delicious. I got the Hill Country salad. Same tender but crispy chicken on a bed of greens with berries. So good. I'm adjusting my review to reflect Veronica's willingness to turn this experience into an opportunity. We were looking forward to trying this restaurant while staying at a hotel in Houston for medical treatments. We had it delivered to our hotel and sadly it wasn't the best experience. When we got our order to the room we were missing one side that we ordered. We got Mac n cheese, green beans and potato salad with a brisket/smoked chicken combo and a brisket/ribs. I was shocked to see two pieces of brisket and a chicken breast for $28. Maybe it was an off night but the quality just wasn't there. All the food was cold (our fault bc we ordered it for delivery) and was lacking flavor. Overall, we'd rate it like this: Brisket 3/5 Chicken 2/5 Mac n cheese 1.5/5 Green beans 3/5 Ribs 3/5 Potato salad 2/5 Maybe they were having a bad night but I wish our experience was better.
