Long story short, don't buy anything here that might need to be returned. The customer service for this chain is a disaster. I've experienced and witnessed multiple examples of the chain just refusing to do returns. If you don't have a receipt and you live out of state, example being if you are in the military, they will flat out refuse to do the return. All I wanted was to do an exchange, as what I had was a gift and the wrong size, but even that was too much. I witnessed a couple ladies attempt a return without a receipt and the employees just shut down saying she was uncomfortable with the customer. They lied to the manager about it and tried to refuse service. All the customers were doing was asking why and that was too much for her to handle. It wasn't stated but I all but guarantee it was racial profiling. At one point the employee stated that because there wasn't a receipt she could only take back one of the 2 items as that was policy and that there was a dollar amount limit she could take back followed by stating she wasn't even supposed to tell the customer that, but that that was why she couldn't do the return. When the customer asked that limit the employee refused to answer saying she couldn't disclose that. For another return I did they had me go to customer service, then back to electronics to inspect the item, then back to customer service for the return. There was terrible communication between the two locations, and again they didn't want to do the return until I'd jumped through all these hoops. All of this shows the store chain has a customer service desk that works in name only and how they function is completely ridiculous. read more

Put in a request for refill over a week ago, they confirmed that the meds were available and in stock, but they still decided to slow drag on filling the order. So obviously FM Pharmacy doesn't care if you get the meds you need to LIVE. No excuses, they just decided NOT to fill it. Dangerous practice!!! I went to the store this morning and bought a slice of bread that had no expiry date label. I am posting this so other can be aware- they installed these automatic "enter" and "exit" gates a while back. So, my son who is only a year and a half old come walking in, the gate thingy opens for us and as were walking through it swings closed super suddenly and hit my baby straight in the face, knocking him onto his back. This is dangerous and unnecessary feature. Luckily my baby wasn't seriously hurt but he had a mark across his forehead and could have busted the back of his head open on the concrete floor. Unbelievable that they would continue to leave these automatic swinging gates in their store after multiple employees witnessed the accident, and I told the manager about it too. Located along Petrovitsky, this Freddy's is very accessible from any direction and has ample (though kind of disorganized) parking. I like their big selection of groceries and often find random unusual snacks that are difficult to find elsewhere. FYI - I noticed on my latest trip that they've increased security in the store, and a couple of uniformed guards were checking receipts at the exit like at Costco. read more

Racist employees ! I've seen it happen to other customers quite a lot of times. We have been going here for 7 years for personal and corporation shopping. So today , went in to get key duplicates and bedroom rugs. I forgot to buy cookies and flowers so I went back with my toddler. So im the only person waiting in the self check out line. This lady in-front of me already checked out with her receipt (no bags) and she's pushing her car out . Assuming she was done because there was nothing else in the machine, she came back to grab a bag . Which is none of my business . This Maria white employee, just screamed on the other side of the machines next to the pharmacy, "You cant come in while there's still other customer" Everybody heard that, she couldve said that next to me instead of shouting it like a trash. Well first of all the customer was already done, 2nd she's racially profiling colored individuals. She's very unprofessional. Ive seen her belittling a Thai immigrant just few months ago who had a mistake in the self check out. She should not be there. Her tone is very demeaning. While leaving, ofcourse i dont want any interaction with her . She sarcastically said " u have a goodday to me" which obviously im not because of her attitude. Pissed, i told her to f herself. This freaking employee yelled to the top of her lungs to me as im walking out to not come back to "her" store anymore. Quite couple times, that's when I decided to complain her to the manager Hailey. Not one, but two rude employees! This is the most horrible customer service experience that I have received, and I don't want to shop at Fred Meyer anymore! I was having trouble finding a certain type of steak yesterday, so I go over to the meat Deli person, to ask for help hoping they would have some in the back. Sheila pointed to the area they should be, but I told her I didn't see any there. Due to her change in facial expression, I can tell she was immediately annoyed and angry, obviously didn't want to help. She walked over there with me and pointed to the beef area and walked away. At this point, I followed her, thinking that she was going to show me a different section, but went back to what she was doing and proceeded to ignore me. I did some more shopping and later saw another employee by the meat area, so I ask her. She then starts yelling saying she doesn't know, she can't help and basically that it's my problem. Ever seen a worker pretend to be busy when the manager was around? That's what she was doing! She was touching all the meat packs and not doing anything! You would think they should have some basic customer service skills and how are they still employees there? I've had Popeyes's employees treat me better than this and even Walmart employees put in more of an effort. I had a fantastic Customer Service from a cashier named Alejandro. I believe I spelled his name correctly. He was polite, courteous, and very helpful. I had forgotten my free eggs, and I was sad. He made sure that I was not going to leave without it. His personality captivated my attention. I'm going to be honest, I don't see much of this type of customer service very often. If you could reward him with some kind of recognition, that would be awesome. He would make me want to come to shop at your place with no hesitation. I have a boost membership for same day delivery. I'm charged a delivery fee when I shouldn't be. This happens numerous times. I have to call and explain. They will give a $15 store credit but when you use it they will charge me again the delivery fee. It's a never ending merry-go-round. I believe it's a scam to overcharge customers this way. I'm planning on submitting a complaint to Washington's Consumer Protection Agency as well. In addition, the vegetables and aren't always fresh. I've received moldy bread, strawberries and tomatoes also. They charge high prices but will deliver food that if it was in your fridge you would throw away. They will charge you for food you can't even eat! read more

BEWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS! A man stole my grocery cart, I'm assuming he thought I left my purse unattended, because I left a re-usable canvas grocery tote in there. Regardless be aware of purse snatchers! For safety concerns I will not be going back to this Fred Meyer and will be doing my grocery shopping elsewhere. I'm sure that this in-store incident could extend to the parking lot if you were alone and vulnerable. I'm not 100% sure what it is, but this is probably my least favourite Fred Meyer. Bakery isn't as good as the other locations to the point I don't even bother to look. Overall the store seems...smaller? More "meh"? I stop by this location here and there when I'm having a hard time sourcing certain veggies, but it's usually a bust. The one on 240th is overall better for the items that I like to buy. Maybe skip this one unless the others are out of your way. read more

I had asked her kindly if she could do an item look up. Straight NOPE. So I decided to go back and grab another then realized none of them had tags on it, so I just ripped the whole damn sticker off the shelf, went back and presented it to her again. How is it every year at this Cake department they can mess up a little child's birthday cake. Amazing. A $90 cake completely wrong. They offer a half price cake for a wrong birthday cake. Why not full price correct cake. Last time we come here for a birthday Cale. If you want a cheap cake with someone else's name on it. Just ask them what mess up they have in the back. Ridiculous . This is an updated review. The security guards need to stop racially profiling customers who don't look like you and also even those that do look like you. In this case, this was a black female security guard. I don't know if she's African, Carribean or American, or mixed with both. It doesn't matter, but I do know that she was young, very slender, dark-skinned and fully Black and she racially profiled my family who was so unprofessional at her job. She was hovering over us because she thought that we weren't scanning ALL of items when we did. She thought that we were stealing when we had the receipt. She left her post at the entrance/exit at the door when she should of stayed there instead of going to the self-checkout to mistreat us in any old way. She made it seem like we were criminals when we weren't. And the frustrating part about the whole situation is that the white employee, Maria, who worked at the self-checkout, knew we were regulars and she didn't say anything. It's a shame and it's unacceptable. In all my years of going to Fred Meyer, I would of never thought that another black person would do such a thing. EVER. What a waste of time. I asked for an item in electronics, and the kid could've not been more rude. What a waste of time. Then, I try to buy a work coat. All their coats are locked up, sure I get that, but when there is LITERALLY NO ONE TO UNLOCK THEM THEN ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO SELL THEM. As a store, you should know this, but apparently all their items are marked to stay. Don't waste your time, as there are other places to go to get better service and goods. This FM is big and the non-grocery part is a lot bigger than the grocery aisles. I've only been here in-person once but have ordered delivery through Instacart many times through this FM. Somdone thought it would be a good idea to put "displays", those free standing ones down many of the aisle, at an angle no less, making it impossible to get two carts down at the same time. Today, even the center, big walkway was way too crowded with displays. Just stop and keep the shelves full!!! At the register, one cashier was supposedly "closed", yet she is taking random customers through, REALLY!!! I like Fred Meyers usually, this one is clean, people are nice, and it's hopping on an early Sunday morning! but, as I gravitate to "All things Bathroom" i find myself in the extra stinkiest, dankest fred meyers bathroom ever (aside from the Bonney Lake Fred Meyers) ooooooh, this one is exquisite! you can almost taste last nights taco bell in the air! the floors are slippery, the walls are speckled with the brownest goo, the toilet paper dispenser is hanging from one creaky screw, and the smell has burned off my longest nose hair... ah! ...me nosy needsy poseys or it will falley of me facey! i rarely take photos of bathrooms, but this one was choice! maybe it should have been written in spanish? anyway, next time you drive though Kent or Renton, take the time to stop by your neighborhood Fred Meyers! We have sed at this Fred Meyer for 15 years. It was always a joy to shop here, we knew everyone, including the manager, who who come out and help out when busy. Everyone was helpful. The employees were like family to us, and our youngest son worked here in high school and college. It had a cheerful and happy atmosphere. Now we worry about the sketchy people in the parking lot breaking into our car, the store is dirty, the employees sand around talking about how much they hate their jobs and the management. Produce is not fresh and store is sloppy. Filled with cheep crap from China. Love the jenky broken down shopping carts, the shelves spread out with stuff no one wants to make them look full. But the best is the security guard at the door checking receipts like you are a criminal! I handed them back my 30 year old rewards card and said keep it I will not be back! read more

Little did I know it was filled with fishing supplies on clearance as well. It was way past their return policy so there was nothing they could do with good reason. The last few cakes I've purchase from here have been disappointing. They ask for your phone number, but never use it.. If they're missing toys for the kids cakes, you find out when you pick it up.. Oh, don't worry, they found some other misc. toys laying around they'll throw on there. Or you show up like I did last night, and apparently when someone is on lunch, the ENTIRE bakery has to shut down. Nobody could find my Wife's Birthday cake, I waited almost 20 minutes for some kind of manager I was told would be "any minute".. 2 people from the deli looked for the cake for about 1 minute, then just walked away. I ended up just buying some BS cake that wasn't what I wanted to do, but I could wait around to be on their schedule when they actually want to try and help a customer.
