The last few cakes I've purchase from here have been disappointing. They ask for your phone number, but never use it.. If they're missing toys for the kids cakes, you find out when you pick it up.. Oh, don't worry, they found some other misc. toys laying around they'll throw on there. Or you show up like I did last night, and apparently when someone is on lunch, the ENTIRE bakery has to shut down. Nobody could find my Wife's Birthday cake, I waited almost 20 minutes for some kind of manager I was told would be "any minute".. 2 people from the deli looked for the cake for about 1 minute, then just walked away. I ended up just buying some BS cake that wasn't what I wanted to do, but I could wait around to be on their schedule when they actually want to try and help a customer. As a lifelong customer of fred meyer, I'm disappointed and dissatisfied that they would not return or exchange a pair of shoes that where too small for my daughter. Granted she did wear them outside, once and the soles were a little dirty. It was really the excuse that was given to me by the customer service representative that they would have to take a "huge" loss on a $40 pair of shoes. I have spent thousands of dollars at fred meyer over the years. I do not understand how a multi million dollar company would rather loose a returning customer than return a $40 dollar pair of shoes. My dog was in the ER and I got to the pharmacy at 1:01 pm and they said they didn't open for another 30 minutes. MY DOG WAS DIEING AND NEEDED THE MEDICINE NOW. Nowhere had it in stock but them. I was having to hand deliver the immunosuppressant to her from the pet hospital because they didn't have any. I hope they realize this is terrible karma for the future. CAN NO LONGER SHOP HERE! GET SOME MORE MOTORIZED CARTS !! Used to love it-- one stop shopping, nice staff, good prices. Unfortunately I have to use a motorized cart due to arthritis---90% of the time either NO carts available, carts not charged up, or cart seems to be charged, then dies on me in the far reaches of the store. I NEED AN ELECTRIC CART or I cannot shop, & must turn around and go home. That happens way too often at this Freddie's and others nearby. I've been coming to this Fred Meyer since I moved to Washington over a year ago. I think it is safe to say I can review it properly now. I'll just give an overall opinion of each section I shop in. I never buy clothes from them so I can't really review them on that. Pharmacy: almost perfect! I use them to pick up my prescriptions and they're fast and efficient. The only problem o ever had was using the phone service to refill my prescription. I used the automatic service to get a refill and went to pick it up an hour later. I want to say around 1-1:30? I tell them I called in my prescription and they said it was ready for pick up at 3. What? The machine never asks for a time it gives a time! It was no big deal but slightly annoying... Home Decor/Furniture: The home decor is pretty basic. Some cute items here and there but not a one stop shop for furnishing and decorating a new home. We bought a few bar stools but they are pretty shoddy quality so I really can't recommend anything more than some candles or picture frames. Bath & Beauty: They have great brand for makeup and bath stuff but they have been terrible at restocking! I love Tree Hut products and Dr. Teals for myself. More than half the times I've been there the shelves have been emptied of certain products or one lone item will be in the wrong area. It's frustrating and restocking is overall the biggest problem with this location. Grocery: Jesus get it together Fred Meyer! This is where I buy groceries with my birdied but every time we encounter something unacceptable! Failure to restock a product (sometimes for several weeks) or way past due date stock is sitting right next to a fresh produce! During July my boyfriend and I kept checking the mayo aisle and mayo that expired in May and June was still l. The shelves got a month! They take forever to restock but once it's on the shelves it's there until the next presidential election! In case you think this is a rare occupancy I've seen moldy bread and produce sitting out to rot the fresh stuff. Bakery: They get their own review! 0 STARS! Safeway has way more variety and twice the quality. I don't have pictures of both but Safeway and Fred Meyer do tiramisu cake. The tiramisu at Fred Meyer is a joke. They can't seriously think anyone would pay even a dollar for that crap! The same old items are cranked out in excess with almost no variety. You can't even buy a coffee cake! Safeway blows them out of the water, but then again, so does literally any grocery store. If I can score this less than 1 star I would . I have been going to this fred Meyers for years , today was the first time I have ever made a complaint about the self check out associate. I know there's an on going limit with water. But today I had to take my oldest son to get water for his place and water for my place. My oldest son usually takes the bus to go to and from work so obviously when buying cases of water he will need me to take him with my car. This morning we were lining up at the check stand, there was only 1 cashier open. While waiting, there was a guy passing by who notified me that there is 3 case of water limit per family , I told him "we are separate house holds" he puts his hands up and gestures ok. The line was taking too long so we opted to go to the self check out line. Once we got there , they had 2 associates 1 Hispanic lady and the 2nd Caucasian lady. I then asked one of them "can you scan the first 3 cases of water for my son, he will pay for it, then scan the next 3 and I'm paying for this" the Caucasian lady again tells me there's a limit w water, I said yes I know the guy told me. The Caucasian lady then says "don't talk to me like I'm an idiot" I looked at my son shocked this lady even said that, when I was trying to explain that the guy already notified me . Then next the Hispanic lady AGAIN tells me about the limit. At this point I'm annoyed and pissed. I tell BOtH of them again I KNOW! Both walk away from me like I owe them money . I start to ring up my stuff and the Caucasian lady just stands there not bothering to scan my 3 cases of water. My son Went as far as to carry his water to the other self check out and scans it himself. (Meaning we are lifting the case of water and scanning it 3x) . I went straight to customer service and spoke w a manager. That lady needs to check her customer service skills and managers need to be be aware of associates like her. Second experience with Rachel Faivre in the pharmacy at this location. Everyone else in this pharmacy is friendly and helpful, but this particular employee looks like she absolutely hates her job... her look on her face when interacting with her, and her annoyed tone in her voice and rude comments about not being able to hear you or understand you rather than just asking if you can please say it again. Bought a 3 day old sandwich that was sold as fresh. The large label hid the wilted lettuce and tomatoes. Stopped eating when I tasted the nasty lettuce and tossed it in the garbage. This is my local grocery store! They renovated it about a year or so back and initially it was very confusing. But i think it's great that they cater to all types of people and diets. They literally split up the aisles by organic, plant base and regular basic groceries. This is one of my favorite stores because it's a one stop shop. You can get a Starbucks coffee while you shop for dinner , toiletries and perhaps a new rice cooker on sale lol...everything you need ! read more

Social distancing is important in this times , totally agree BUT can you do it RESPECTFULLY. You are like shaming someone the way you said it. Once again, this place never gets it right with their customer service. I purchased one case of beer, but it was not the right size. I wanted the 12oz, not the 7oz and wanted to return I called to make sure that it was okay for me to do so. On Sept. 12, 2017, 10:15 AM, (it was two minutes call). I called Fred Meyer, asking if it was okay to return a case of beer, the woman I talked to checked with her manager, "I'm not sure about returning it but let me double check with my manager first..." I was on hold and when she returned and said, "Yes, you can return it." And I told her I open the case and realized it was the wrong size. She replied, "It's should be fine, just bring it in." I said, "Are you sure, please check it again." On hold again, and she said, "It's alright. It's fine. You can return it." After work... So there I was, explaining to Alecko and Celesta at the customer service counter. And they told me by law they can't return alcohol and I asked for a written law proof. They couldn't find it. They said they don't have it in the book. I need proof stating that WA State is not allowing the purchased case of beer to return for refund. So Alecko looked up the WA state law on his mobile phone, but his connection was slow according to him. It's fine if this is the state law, but why did they tell me to bring it back to get a refund or exchange? Get your policy straight and stop lying to your customers. You really can find everything here. It's a grocery store, but they sell clothes, furniture, medicine, electronics... The electronic section is a bit small though and to be honest I usually stick to the grocery side. This is a really convenient, Convenience store since you can find almost anything you need and the location is good! Good prices on food most of the time and good product selection. I was there with my children today at 12:45 and the older lady with straight white hair was my cashier and she was so nice as always. However the older lady next to her was the rudest cashier I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. I was at this location on Monday. There was this customer that alerted a employee that there was a gallon of milk on a shelf. I witnessed this employee grab the milk and put it back where it belonged. I was hoping that he would discard it but he put it back on the shelf. Really? I always have the most pleasant cashiers who greet me with genuine smile. We tried grocery pick up from Fred Meyer and do not recommend it. You pick an hour slot time to arrive to pick up the groceries. I picked a time and Fred meyer called a few hours before my scheduled pick up time stating my pick up time was pushed to 6pm. It had first been scheduled for 4-5pm. I called back around 5 to make sure I couldn't come sooner and they said 6pm or anytime before close. We arrived at 630 and checked in a few minutes after 630pm. It's almost 7pm now. I called customer service and we were told we are next in line to have our food delivered but there is no estimated timeframe for how long that will take. We would not do this again. We understand things are busy with covid however fred meyer could lower the amount of people allowed for the pick up times to help from stating they are offering a service that they are unable to provide timely. read more

This store is currently renovating... things that used to be where you thought they were, are likely a few feet away or even a few rows. Everything but the grocery have been moved feet away. The aisles are smaller so do not try and push your cart through. It will be really nice when it is done. I saw lots of workers moving items, putting things away or just walking around. None seemed to want to say hello or ask if we needed help. I come back as the checkers in Garden are really nice and tonight she was. I asked her about some dried food for camping and she told right where it had been moved too! She was great. read more

I do most of my shopping these days at Trader Joe's; I can get organic stuff on the cheap and there is just a ton of frozen-easy-to-get-the-kid-to-eat-it stuff that makes my life as a single mother very comfortable. If the Baby Jesus truly does love me, this won't be an issue much longer - but as of today I am still tasked with wiping the ass of another human being. So Monday night brought me to Freddie's in Renton (mostly because I wanted some guac from Torero's in my belly and it's in the same mini-mall). After our perfunctory trip through the clothing area, where the mini picked out yet another baseball cap, "I wan da back one! Dis look like piyat!" (translation: I want the black one. This looks like a pirate. Did you know that all black things are pirate? Well they are. All striped things are baseball FYI) - we finally made it to the baby aisle to find the wipes. Where are the wipes? Here are the diapers, the Pull-Ups, the Goodnights, the baby food, the sippy cups, the ear plugs and the Valium (ok, not really, but that would be really good product placement) - WHERE ARE THE FUCKING WIPES??? Long story short - they were three aisles over next to the shampoo. The baby wash is there too. They're for getting clean - get it? I'm a total idiot for not looking there. I had to get HELP to find them from an employee who had to use a WALKIE-TALKIE to track them down. I was going to pick up some juice and laundry detergent as well, so with wipes in tow we went on with the shopping. Found the detergent quickly, but no big ass size of the HE with Bleach Alternative that I must have. While I am hemming and hawing about what to do with this (smaller size of my favorite or larger size without bleach alternative - like you give a fuck) the Mini picks up the big ass size of All and starts to walk away. "I wan da boo one!" (translation: I want the blue one! Not baseball or pirate - just likes blue). Again with the super-human strength. FREAK CHILD. So proud. Mommy, now totally annoyed, barks out, "Ok, where the hell is the GOD DAMN juice now?!" Which, of course, caused the Mini to call out at the top of his lungs, "WHERE THE HELL IS THE GOD DAMN JUICE!!!!!!" in the front of the store. No translation needed. I don't live anywhere near this Fred Meyer but had to come here when the store closest to me (but still out of the way) was out of an item and this store had it in stock. The item was $50 off at my store plus $30 off since the item was $150 as part of a sale. Ended up driving all the way to Renton only to have this store inform me they wouldn't honor the $30 off from my local store. The manager said I'd have to drive all the way back to Burien to have them reimburse me the extra $30. How absolutely ludicrous. This is one of those Mid-Level Fred Meyer's. You know, not super brand new and updated with shiny pretty things, but not the terribly old, run-down K-mart esque stores that still litter the urban landscape every so often. I keep thinking I need to find a "better" grocery store (Safeway, Food Co-op, etc), but this one is within reasonable walking distance (okay, so I usually drive), good parking and nice staff. I'm impressed with their organic and natural foods section, with bonus points for being well organized. Have never set foot in the clothing section, but the Electronics department women who run the Ticketmaster program were so happy, helpful, and patient it made me reconsider them as an alternative to Best Buy. Another Yelper mentioned one-stop shopping - definitely the place to go if you need a lot of different things (a party, moving, etc) and are short on time. Lastly, the plaza itself is very diverse - from a Laundromat and UPS store, to Romio's Pizza, nail salon, and good pho place. There's even a Starbucks that inexplicably isn't on Yelp. So, I've been a customer at this Fred Meyer since 92'. I've seen some of the weirdest crap go on with staff and customers. I've had a grocery manager try to run my daughter over with a cart because he couldn't be bothered to look were he was going as he whipped that cart around a corner. Fine. That guy's a douche. As the years have passed though, and the shitty customer service people have been fired and replaced, the only constant is Bev. Bev is the best thing to happen to Fred Meyers in Renton EVER. She knows every name of every customer ( or makes it seem as if she does) and seems to honestly care how we're doing. That one person makes up for ALL the other shit I've had to tolerate at the Fred Meyer closest to my family home. That's why four out of five Fred Meyer. This is my go-to Fred Meyer location. I'm here all the time, like every day. It's kinda sad. Haha. Huge store, always fully stocked with product, friendly staff, and easy to navigate. Perfect for a big grocery trip, or even for just a quick run in to grab a few items. This location has a fuel station, which is nice. Love the gas discounts from buying product from Fred Meyer! You can basically find anything you need here. It has groceries, clothing, furniture, electronics, garden stuff, as well as a pharmacy and a Chase bank inside. And they have 2 Redbox kiosks! I've shopped in all departments. Always very clean, well stocked, and easy to find items. There are employees everywhere, always offering help if needed. Customer service here is great. Sometimes the lines at the registers back up, but they are always very quick and efficient. *If you can't find a store ad at either of the entrances, check by customer service. To the left of the desk is a bookshelf type thing that usually has a ton of them in it! read more

PHARMACY review only: Horrible! Ive NEVER experienced something like the pharmacy at freddys. My family and I are major F.M. Fans, always there. So I figure why not make it truly a one stop for the family? Ive always seen a line when we are there but never paid much attention to it.. So finally, I decided to try them out. It took 25 min of waiting in line, another 5-10 for a tech to help me (dont get me wrong, im for teaching n learning process). Patients ahead of me are already pissed, people behind me are pissed. After all that time waiting, I was told I could pick up my meds! If I wanted it, ill have to pay 36 (full stinking price) for it. The hell I am! They were slow, had no system when it comes to locating patients medications. Have they not heard of alphabetize? What looks to me is they are using a number system and of course, prior to the wait and being informed I cannot pick up my med, the tech also mentioned under her breath how she couldnt locate the rx! Seriously? Nothing against the tech, but youd think a big family one stp shop like freddys, would have a better service system in their pharmacy department. Shame on you! Get updated! read more

The customer service dept is usualy ok ,helpful even. Tonight a short pudgy woman with short dark hair "helped" me and i use that word very loosely, she was so extreamly rude and disrespectful. I had a pair of slippers i had gotten for xmas that were way to small, i had never worn them they were in exactly the shape they were when my grandma bought them. You could tell they were never worn just by looking at the soles. I even brought up the pair i wanted to exchange them for the exact same ones only larger. She told me w the snottiest face possible that she needed tbe receipt i told her they were a gift and i didnt have the reciept it was xmas just barely two weeks ago.she pushed them away from her using her pen and said "im not gonna touch them theres no way of telling if you wore them " and then proceeded to tell me with out the packaging and the barcode her hands were tied even tho i had the exact same pair w the barcode right there. Im so irritated i waited in line for nearly an hour . I know dam well she had everything needed to retur. Them and i understand w the virus going on we are all wary of germs but she didnt need to act like they were radioactive they in no way looked worn at all beside trying them on they staid in the gift box i got them in the whole time they were in my possession. I dont usualy swear but she was plain and simple a flat out bi@#%. Im so angry right now i would rather drive the extra 15 min to start using another fred myers or maybe target even. They need to monitor thier employees behavior a little more closely. I shop at Fred myers 2 or 3 times a day i go there for everything and to be treated like shes disgusted by me is hurtful and to be stuck w a gift that any otber store would have done the simple exchange for, ugh! True one-stop shopping experience. This store has a grocery department, with a full seafood and meats counter, produce section, bakery, and deli. There is also clothing, cosmetics, jewelry, eye care center, sporting goods, toys, garden center, and more. I cannot think of anything it lacks. For this reason, I more often than not do my grocery shopping here. It eliminates the need to make additional side trips and thus, saves me some gas and wear and tear on my car. Generally, there are ample products on the shelves, the store is clean and tidy, staff is generally helpful and courteous, and the prices are reasonable. I usually can pretty easily find parking not too far away and I like the fact that the store is open later in the evening (open until 11PM) so I can do the bigger shopping trips without the kids in tow. Speaking of kids, if you have little ones, Fred Meyer does have times during the day where they have a check-in kid-watching service for kids over and under certain ages. They can color or watch a video or play with toys while you roam the aisles loading up your shopping cart unfettered by "mommy, I want" and "daddy, I need". Adding to the one-stop experience, the Fred Meyer off Benson Road (108th & Petrovitsky) has a number of other businesses in the strip malls nearby, which include: a Hallmark store, a laundry mat, tire and auto service shops, a UPS store, and more. read more

The lights kept dimming and then going back to full brightness while I shopped with my husband. I guess they couldn't figure out whether they wanted to close or not...or they were trying to save on their electric bill. I don't know...anyway, it was terribly annoying and it made it difficult to find the already hard to find items that I thought would be easy to find. I just bought a $ 200 Google Play gift card from that store on 02/28/2020... We are today 02/29/2020. My problem is: the card that I bought was, for some unknown reasons, already redeemed ... I called Google Play Customer Service and they thoroughly checked my online Account and all of my online activities related to Google Play. The $ 200 was in fact redeemed by someone else and Goggle Play told me to go to the store where I bought the card from and have them refund me. I go to the store and talked to the ASM Christian Moore... That unprofessional and smirky piece of shit comes up to me and boderline laughed at me when I said that I got scammed, I have Google Play on my cellphone and they would like to talk to you... So that all parties can be on the same page and that I can finally get refunded for the $ 200 loss... Mr. Christian Moore continued to smile and smirk at my face, literally told me that he didn't want to talk to Google play (the Google play Rep. Was actually was waiting to talk to him) and that all gift card sales were final! After over 15-20 mins of debating, I'm understood that it was a lost battle and that I would not get refunded for this scam... One thing though... When you are a store manager and that someone has a money/refund problem... Be professionel, be concerned about what's going on instead of laughing and smirking at people's face! Christian Moore is not a good ASM and with a attitude and personality like him, he should never work in retail, let alone being promoted to any management position! Living in the part of Renton that I live in, I find myself being a regular at this store (hence the gas reward points im always rackin up) Ill start with the structure of the store. It pretty much has what all Fred Meyers has... which is EVERYTHING. In comparison to other Freddy's this store is a hair smaller than the neighboring ones (something im keen to). Parking lot is a nice size. There is n o such thing as a bad parking spot here. The layout of the store works to. I pretty much know this store like the back of my hand. Staff is extremely friendly. I have yet to have a negative experience with anyone at the store. A couple problems that I've noticed with the store. First, the produce section. Now I know it sounds kinda prissy of me to gripe about the produce selection, but when I go to the gala apple bins I'm expecting that I can take home any and all apples.. not just a select few. A couple times I went for strawberries and they were so moldy I thought I was watching a live microbiology experiment! Another problem I have is when I go shopping for my weekly grocery shopping trip, I cant find a shopping cart to save my life. There are times that I walked around the store with two little baskets in my hands. At the end of the day Id go back to this store, but only because I don't have to drive far from home to get some eggs! read more

What is wrong with your shoe department. There's nobody there to help me find shoes and when there is someone there they make me put all the shoes back in the box and on the shelves. So discouraging. I interview telephonically. And it went well. I go in for person to person interview. Told all went well. Except my availability. I asked interviewer store hours. He specifically said open til 10. I later found out they're open til 11 pm. Why'd he lie??! Asked to take in my SSN card by phone interviewer and yet. The mgr that interviewed me had me fill out paper work (just in case he said knowing he was playing me!) but never asked to copy my SSN card. I KNEW then he was just shafting me. Clearly bored with me this mgr yawned continually during my interview never once apologized. Left me standing out front waiting 10 minutes AFTER I'd been specifically told to show up EARLY. First he lied, then I felt he was more intimidated by my experience cus I know I was qualified. The need TO HIRE urgent I'd been told. Yet he didn't have the nutsack to call and tell me why I wasn't selected. I know why. Black on black racism is the worse people. Shame on this guy. He lied about operating hours prolly reflecting that's why I wasn't hired cus of my availability when I clearly stated I needed this pt job. I'm employed full time so I'm not gunning for his position. But it's nothing new to me. It just saddens me. Guess I'm too strong of a blank woman for this weak arse black brother. His loss. It's easy to compliment the staff as helpful and courteous, but if you really shop in this store you will start to remember them by name. The deli team this morning was a true delight. Tonya, Tina and Tammy-I'll call them the 3 t's, were all very busy making sure everything was being put out fresh. Every single time I shop the deli section of this store I have one of the best experiences. This morning, Alex, their grocery manager, was in the area while I was there. He stopped his conversation in order to ask me if he could help me with anything so I made sure he knew I was being helped, and have always been quickly assisted. As a single working woman, I want to experience new healthy dishes. If you're unsure about something, you can taste test it. I can't tell you how many times I have bought the very thing which intrigued me but wasn't sure I'd like it. In their meat department, Shelia is very knowledgeable, quick to help and her advice is great! If you're unsure about a cut of meat, or need to order something special, she is the one I ask. I know I have written about a less than appreciative experience one year, but I also updated that furious post when I was surprised by their quick corrective action. It saved them a regular weekly shopper. And now, I've become a regular fan. Yes, the parking lot gets busy sometimes. Lots of stores and a restaurant in that center, but traffic usually keeps moving.
