I came to the store at 10:59pm & was told l "was to late, we are closed". Even though I only needed 1 item in the store & I knew exactly where it was located I was still told "no", all the while I can see others still shopping. You could see I wasn't there for a day trip, I needed in then out... & so happens Fred Meyer is the only store in the area that carries what I needed! I have shopped at this location for years as I live in the area. I have seen this location slowly deteriorated over the past 10 years, the company has put very little back into this location from a shoppers point of view. Some of the concerns are as follows. When you walk in the outside is filthy and in need of a good pressure washing, the entry looks a though it needed an upgrade years ago and the cart area is beat up and dirty. When walking in and past deli coffin cases you can pick up an odor of urine on occasion. I have had to purchase my produce at other location because their's is so inconsistent, they will leave product out for sale that should have been pulled days earlier, and let it run down to levels where you only have garbage to choose from. I have pointed out fruit fly's in bad produce to mgrs who's response is indicative of either poor training or just not caring. When you look at floors they are all dirty around fixtures and coolers and equipment/fixtures worn. Many times I have walked through the freezer/cooler uprights to the tinny banging sound of a fan that is in disrepair. When you walk down the aisles, especially during the holidays, there are so many self standing product displays that two carts cannot fit down the aisle side by side, this gets irritating when you want to get in and out but run into continuous log jams as folks are shopping aisles and they have no where to move to let you through. I have come in shopping for specific item and find they are out, I asked an employee if they had more of a popular beer in the back, the response was that it was the beer companies responsibility to stock it, "really!". I finally got a manager to go back and look and come back with a cases of beer. I have addressed all these issues with various manager, and in most cases got a deer in the head lights response and not even an aknowledgement of my concerns. I do have to say, the clerks are always friendly and helpful and I have never had a bad experience at the register as they adjust and move the lines quickly. This is a big, big company and a busy location, (I've shopped at other locations that seem to have none of these issues) whose apethy to basic quality, cleanliness and customer service have forced me to drive further to shop elsewhere. read more

They have a pretty good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The produce section is well tended to, everything looks fresh and cared for. The meat department is clean and the selection is pretty good. Fresh seafood is a plus. I wish they carried our favorite diet iced tea, Brisk, Nestea in the 12 pack, but it seems nobody does up here. Don't understand that, oh well. It's cool the variety of products they sell, need a pair of socks, a rake, couch and a pound of hamburger? They got ya covered. What I really.....REALLY.......love........checking out. All the employees here are cheerfully helpful. They will help you find what you need, with a smile on their face and knowledgeable about what they offer. The cashiers ring you up, while engaging you and packing your groceries carefully, not roughing up your carefully selected produce. You won't get home and I find your milk leaking in your fridge because it was slammed somewhere, sometime in that store. I appreciate how well we are treated here. It's consistent. Probably one of my favorite Fred Meyer's that I have been to! They always have amazing deals on their low-carb items which is a bonus for me! The produce at that place is great! They've got an organic section there that is decently priced! During the spring they've got a great deal on plants and seedlings. If I need a quick gift this is the place I hit up! read more

I've always been a big Fred Meyer fan, and this store is no exception to that. We live nearby and probably do the majority of our shopping here. The nursery is large and easily accessed for plants and gardening needs. The gas here is CHEAP! We both work down toward Seattle and always make an effort to stop here for gas because of the 10 cent discount you get with your Rewards Card. Also, the Rewards Card program and it's cash back is awesome! I regularly get $20-$30 back each quarter - a nice bonus! Only reason this store doesn't get 5 stars is that is has limited parking and gets VERY busy on a regular basis. They need to better staff the checkouts in the Garden Center entrance of the store - I'm held up in line there most often. read more

Once was the best place in town. Now I just in on a quick trip. Agree with previous post the self check employees are rude or indifferent. Produce good and often good sales but you have to watch prices. Meat dept good Clothing & accessories nice but watch prices, without sales, can be higher than necessary. Watch coupons they have many exclusions. For about the last couple of years, it hasn't been the safest place to go especially at night. Not unusual to have unsavory folks roaming thru parking lot. I've also gotten lots of dings on my car from their lot. All that being said, I do go there for a few things occasionally Feb 2016. To cut down on costs, they have turned heat way down. I was very impressed with Tammy in the bakery. She went over and beyond the call of duty. I was unaware that the three different items I wanted to purchase was a special order. I didn't want to go to the only doughnut store in town that had bad reviews. Tammy was able to put together an order for me within a hour. My wife and I shop at Fred Meyer every Sunday to stock up for the coming week. They carry everything that we need. Groceries are one thing, but they have a large electronics section, they sell furniture, hardware, garden supplies, clothes, basically anything that you need. I don't shop at Wal-Mart because I don't like they way they treat their employees, but Fred Meyer passes them on every level. If I have to pay an extra 10 cents for a tube of toothpaste to have friendly employees, fresh meats and produce, and union employees who actually care about the customer than so be it. The only thing that I don't like is if you don't get there early on a Sunday the weeks coupons may be all taken. They are placed by the doors and go quickly as there are a lot of good deals to be had. read more

I live near this store and shop here all of the time. The selection is great, the people that work there are friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I especially love that they carry name brand clothes like Carters, Nike, and Adidas but aren't any more expensive than shopping at Target. And they always have great sales. As far as grocery stores in Marysville this one is one of the best for selection and value. The store has everything you need in one stop shopping and most prices are good. Make sure to grab the weekly coupon ad on your way in to get extra saving though. Produce is always good and their meat department looks small but never fails to please. I'm picky about my steaks and I NEVER go wrong with theirs. I have to drive across town to shop here, but completely worth it. Electronics department can be a little bit frustrating due to the lack of help and employees chatting with each instead of helping. And just make sure you get the right item the first time, customer service is a nightmare in this store. The women are always rude and act like you are bothering them when they have to help you. If you have a return, be prepared to get belittled and a healthy share of "Eye Rolling" and "sighs of irritation" from these employees. read more

I am dissatisfied by this because I am pregnant with a high risk pregnancy and getting sick from contaminated produce could cause me to loose my child. They say "the proof is in the pudding", well I got a large portion of Fred Meyer Pudding yesterday, Jan.20th. I'm home vacuuming and there is that undeniable odor of burning rubber, the brush roller wouldn't turn, right, you guessed it, the belt broke. It's a holiday, the vacuum repair shops are closed. I call Fred Meyer, yes they carry vacuum belts. I get the numbers off my vacuum and go to Fred Meyers. The clerk knew exactly what I needed, even locating the model # of my vacuum on the package of belts. In attempting to install the new belt, I broke the wheel the belt goes on. However, I remember seeing a Fred Meyer ad in today's paper for a vacuum on sale. My heart sunk when I checked out the ad which ran from early am to 1 PM. Well, by now its after 2 PM. I went to Fred Meyer's service desk, related my tale of woe to the clerk and asked if by any chance could I still get the sale price on the vacuum in the ad. She said, that would be a store manager decision. I'm beginning to prepare for the worst when the store manager tells her, "yes, we can make an exception and extend the sale price". They also honored an additional 20% off coupon for that department. I am 74 years old, retired, on a fixed income, this was a real brake for me. So now, I'm vacuuming and humming, "Fred Meyer gave me some yummy pudding and I have it right here", (to the tune of the Christmas song about Figi Pudding.). I love this store, they always have good produce and meats, prices are good, and with the weekly ad, you can get some great buys! The workers are always friendly and helpful, and lines are usually pretty short, which makes getting in and out painless. They even have a gas station if you need to fill up, and I usually get $10 to $20 dollars back per quarter, every little bit helps! read more

Deciding if I can continue to shop at Fred Meyer due to major pharmacy mess up. Out of the 4 prescriptions I filled, 2 prescriptions were completely WRONG! If I hadn't asked the pharmacist a question, I would have walked out of the store with a bottle of someone else's blood pressure drugs. Further to that.....yesterday, i opened a new bottle of my usual prescription and thank goodness when I put it on my tongue it was the most bitter tasting pill you could image and it began melting immediately. I spat it out, so grateful for that bitter taste, because if it wasn't for that I would still be taking it not knowing it was blood pressure medicine...... I don't take blood pressure meds! The bottle was labeled correctly with my name and info but inside were the wrong pills not even remotely related to the correct drug. I went to Fred Meyer Pharmacy and spoke to the pharmacy manager to complain and explain the second error with my one purchase of four prescriptions. He was a good listener, he wasn't the one who made the 2 errors and he was very concerned. I emphatically told him of my distrust in that pharmacy now and my disappointment as I have always shopped there, have loved Fred Meyer for years , plus it was convenient for me. I have pulled my business from that pharmacy for good. Really hoping that someone else out there isn't taking the wrong meds for their blood pressure condition and taking my medication instead! This was a very dangerous screw up for the other reason that I have some potentially lethal allergies to a handful of drugs. I'm still pretty shaken by this experience. Horrible service! I'm pretty disappointed, I love this fredmeyer, I shop there all the time & all the other staff are great! So kind and polite. This is the first time I have a complain. So my husband returned 2 lip glosses for my mom, the total was $15 something, and the lady in the costumer service only gave him back just $5.17 she didn't even give him the copy of the receipt with the refund. I went back & asked if I could see the receipt because we should have received $15 not $5 & she told me she had already shredded up the receipt. & I told her that she owes me $10 & she said no. So then she called someone else & she told the other lady she gave me the refund already. So then the other lady I think she was a manger because she had a red vest on, right from the begging she seemed rude, she was making everything difficult telling me I had to tell her the exact Time & date, so I told her I thought it was Thursday the 15 & the other lady who first helped me told her no, Thursday was the 13th so the lady on the red vest looks at me & said "I though you said it was the 15" but they way she said sounded like I was making things up. So then I tell her that she can look up my rewards # to see if I used that because I couldn't remember? & she said that was to much work. So then I call my mom to see when exactly she made the purchase & the lady in the red vest rudely waves her hand in my face because I was on the phone. So the whole time both of them are responding to me in a rude way because they thought I was lying. So a third lady comes to see what's going on, she also had a red vest, and she was able to look up the refund and saw that the it was the lady who first gave my husband the refund, it was her fault because she only scanned one lipgloss instead of both so she did owe me the $10 & I never got an honest apology from the first two ladies who thought I was lying.. And acting rude. People like them just should not work at the customer service desk if they aren't patient enough to help out customers. I understand it was a mistake, I make mistakes too.. But it's the way they were acting towards me like if I was lying thats what I thought was rude. read more
