The store was a little messy. There were a lot of empty spots on the shelves. I am not sure if it is a supply issue or lazy buyers. All of the shelves for the items I was looking for were empty. This review is for the deli. I came in this evening because--don't ask me why-- but my 7-year-old loves the deli seafood salad and wanted to get some. There was no line. There were two employees behind the counter. Both of them walked past me at least half a dozen times seemingly avoiding eye contact while they went about their tasks. The younger one, a girl who couldn't have been older than 20, was facing me, slicing sandwiches inside the case. The older lady put some deli meat away and then she was walking back and forth over and over looking like she was looking for something to do, anything but actually help the customer standing there trying to get some assistance. I waited patiently for several minutes, and in that time neither deli employee so much as acknowledged me. Not one word. And there is no way they didn't see me. I'm 6 feet tall and I have never felt so invisible. My daughter didn't get her seafood salad and left the store in tears. Abominable customer service. read more

I was just surprised by my wonderful wife who just dragged home a small Christmas tree by herself, probably more tree than we can afford at this time. I'm at home recovering from a 2nd joint replacement. She is a 70 year old woman, handicapped, still working, previous double joint replacement herself. I was horrified to learn that there was no one available to help her get said tree to, and load it into her car. She had to stuff the tree onto her own cart, push it through the entire store trying not to knock stuff over, lift it off and do her best to shove it into the back of her car, after overpaying for it! I would like to assign 95% of the aberrant behavior to yet another corporate, virulent, sociopathic bunch of CEOs, who find making a stack far more important than sufficient quantity and quality of staff making a living wage. Unfortunately it's entirely feckless to blame Kroger/Fred Meyer, or any other corporate CEOs of anything as they are incapable of shame or any other normal human capacity, and have done their best to normalize such degradation of society. The best solution such creatures are capable of is to sever the customer from all live human service and interaction and to direct us instead to www.microgiveashits.com. I still hold the door for whomever is coming out after me. I still say yes sir, shake hands. I look a customer in the eye and attend to them personally. We've replaced manners for mannerisms and AI. This is not the 1st time we've had a problem with Kroger and we've done far less business since. Consistently one of the worst shopping experiences imaginable. I do the majority of my grocery shopping at Costco and the leftover few items each at both Safeway and Fred Meyer in Marysville. In random order here's what's wrong with the Fred Meyer store on State Street: 1. Way too few of checkers in the grocery section they never have any help from kids helping bag the groceries. expect to stand in line for minimum 30 minutes behind just four or five people. 2. You can get their weekly ad putting for sale items on your phone using the Fred Meyer app take both your phone and the weekly ad to the checkout girl with the on sale items in your grocery basket placed on the belt carrier to purchase them and it's still a battle in a fight to get them to honor the on sale price. This happens time and time again where I'm only purchasing four or five different items with a couple of them being on sale items it's a battle every time to get them to charge you the discounted price it's ridiculous. In their defense the good things about this grocery store are pretty decent quality fresh produce and meat cutters in the meat department will cut steaks to your desired thickness if you've got 15 minutes to wait for them. But all things considered it's just too much drama and a waste of time to spend an hour inside the grocery store to purchase three or four different items. Went here yesterday. Was over charged and then had to wait 20mins for customer service to fix the issues. Also the cashier could not understand I have to walk up 3 flights of stairs I need everything bagged. I asked her 3 times to bag everything just to have her ask if I wanted something bagged again. But note that some of the prices here could be a bit more than my usual go to Fred Meyer back in Bellingham. The grocery store is fully stocked or pretty well stocked. I go in to do some holiday shopping for my family. As I pay for everything the cashier asked if I had a receipt for the Pokémon cards in my hand ( I got them from the vending machine prior which is pretty hard to take anything out unless you pay for your cards) I told her yes showed it to her, she pretty much told me that I needed a paper receipt. I had told her no I don't I got them from the vending machine and showed her my online receipt that also had my info on it. She completely ignored me called her manager after 10 minutes she said I was good to go. I had explained multiple times that this item was already paid for. You can't just accuse people of stealing something they already had paid for. Wouldn't recommend. read more

I used online ordering and delivery and mistakenly ordered 3 times using Instacart in Marysville. I went to return the extra items as soon as I put my initial order away. I proceeded to go to Freddie's and was told that they do not do Instacart returns. The friendly lady gave me the number for Instacart which I called. They too were sympathetic with my issue. They put me through to a Fred Meyer representative whom graciously refunded two of my orders and but I could not return the items them to the store. Now I have to many perishable items. She suggested that I give the items to those in need, which I did. Thank you Fred Meyers for rescuing me and responding so graciously to come to my aide and also helping our community. read more

We stopped by this Fred Meyer to shop for clothes, but needed to use the restroom first. It was about 1130 am. The store was not busy. The men's restroom did not appear to have been cleaned today. There was standing water and trash on the floor in both stalls. Besides the poor cleanliness, the stall walls were in desperate need of replacement, with obvious evidence of many attempts to repaint over rusty hinges and graffiti. The toilet paper and toilet seat protector dispensers were broken. If this is the way the restrooms are maintained, I am led to question the food preparation areas. read more

There are several people in the reviews saying the lines are long because they never have enough checkers, but they save a few bucks doing that so they don't care how you feel even when you're spending hundreds of dollars here. Today was my day off so I was going to take advantage of that and hit the store to get my daughter's birthday cake. I normally don't shop at Fred Myers but they do have tasty looking cakes. My son and I walked up to the cake counter and noticed another customer waiting as well. Checked out the ones they had in the glass case, next to the glass case and in the fridge. We found one that seemed the most appealing and it was in the glass case. We had been standing there for about 5min the other customer must of been stand there for a while as well she gave up and walked away. I noticed near the produce area one of those phones that said "Need assistance give us a call." I picked up the phone and it started ringing for a little and a grocery associate picked up the phone. I told her that I needed assistance in the bakery she told me that she was grocery and wasn't able to help me that she would transfer me to the bakery. I tried to tell her there was no one there and I'm literally standing in front of it. She told me no that someone was there and she would transfer me there. The phone rang and rang till I could hear just the stores music playing on the phone. I waited another 5min hung it up went back to the counter and waited again in hopes someone would see me but still nothing. After another 5min go by I walk to the middle of the store to customer service to request someone to page someone to the bakery. The lady at customer service said "There should be someone there." I told her there wasn't and all I wanted was a cake from the cabinet. She paged someone to backery and I walked back. About a minute or two another customer walked up and was waiting at the counter as well. We all just stood their looking around wating but another 5min go by and no one. I tell my son go to customer service and ask them to page someone. He walked off when the customer told me she asked the lady at the deli department if there was anyone in the backery they shrugged and told her they didn't know. So now it's been 20min waiting at the backery department. One associate walked up asked us if we needed help I let her know I needed a cake from the cabinet. She walked back then got on her walkie about no one in the cake department and asked if she should go to customer service to page someone I let her know I already had them page two times. She walked to the deli department took a phone call then wandered off. Over the intercom I heard an associate ask the bakery department to call a number twice. Heard the phone ring twice. About 10min later a male associate walked up asked us what we needed. I let him know I need a cake from the cabinet. He got on his walkie asking who was working the backery and wandered to the back. I could hear him doing something back there and came back out with a box and asked us what cake we wanted. Finally got our cake and bee lined it to the self checkout because I was done. This is the second time this has happened at the backery were there was no one. I understand due to covid they are probably short on staff but it felt like no employee could or wanted to just grab me a cake and put it in a box. read more

Discriminatory...if you dont know how to do digital coupons or your handicapped and can't see the small print on sales sign out on store floor(like myself) You do not get help at check or the sales price... Today I had a very sore young gal who apparently felt so put out by me telling her I can't read the small print of sales sticker that's posted out on the isle with product.. I will never come back to this store. The enforcement of masks and distancing in the self checkout was horrible.This person (with his mask below his nose no less) was standing less than 2 ft from me in a family group at the next checkout, they arrived after me. I paid but didn't bother to bag a bunch of my stuff, just threw it in the cart and tried to leave. Got stopped for a receipt because my "groceries weren't bagged". No wonder non white people like me always get a receipt.. I saw the jerk at the exit was watching me. My frozen items were bagged and he saw me come out from the checkout area so his excuse was bogus. There were other people leaving without bags. Racism disguised as "process" is not ok, Fred Meyer. I was shopping for a wireless bra & got the last 3... apparently the manufacturer has stopped making that particular model, so I was offered a discount. Then I also needed a new watch band, & the great lady in the jewlery area took out just the right number of links to make the new band fit just right. In all, I had a great experience at that store, & although it is a bit farther than other places I have been going to, I shall be back. read more

We shop at Fred Meyers regularly and experienced the best customer service by Diane (name) she works in the customer service department. After checking out we noticed that our coupons hadn't been deducted. WE went up to the customer service counter to get answers on why the couples weren't redeemed. Diane or Donna, was amazing. She took the time to research the issue being sympathetic and apologetic throughout the process. Thank you for the outstanding service. We will continue to shop at Freddy's. read more

With few exceptions for specific items I prefer Fred Meyer to every other store in Marysville. My husband says I'm addicted... he may be right. However.. that being said I will never attempt to use their online grocery again. It's poorly ran, understaffed and not reliable. I have a seven month old and thought I would avoid the people and order groceries for pick up this go around. I got my time assigned and they were more then happy to run my card. I got multiple updates throughout the day about my order being on time and received **three** texts when it was time to get my order. I arrived on time and within my window. After sitting for ten minutes with no attention and nobody answering their check in phone a guy walked out and told me and several other cars parked there that our food would not be ready tonight. Ok. Listen. I get it. We are all freaking out about COVID-19 and online groceries are getting inundated. The fact that my groceries were not ready was not the problem. The problem is that nobody in that giant store bothered to call me. I did not see anyone helping the one poor dude who was in that department. They let me drive 40 minutes to their store with a screaming baby to get his baby food when they knew good and well that my order was not going to get filled hours before. No consideration was taken at all that maybe they should call their customer and tell them ahead of time their order was not getting filled instead of sending misleading texts that everything was fine. I asked for a manager to call me and have presently not received such a call.. it's been 18 hours. I guess given the way I was treated yesterday I shouldn't be surprised. I'm now willing to pay for Safeway's delivery fee than have to get put through that treatment again. And my husband is happy I'm boycotting Freddie's right now.. so I guess that's the silver lining :) read more

I went to Fred Meyers today to try and find some low rise jeans after striking out everywhere else. Their fitting rooms are open which was nice but they definitely aren't cleaned very often so be careful of that. As far as the clothes, I was very dissatisfied with their variety in sizing, they have close to nothing for anyone too big for kids pants but too small for anything past size 1 or 2 (the smallest I could find in any pant was size four except for two size zero's which I quickly snagged up) I didn't have high hopes for pants but quickly felt off about my overall shopping experience when I saw their covid safety measures. This location does not enforce mask wearing, I saw a few (presumable) managers talking in the very narrow hallway down to the bathrooms and none of them had a mask on or bothered to cover their face as I walked by. In the bathroom there was someone who was (again presumably) homeless who had brought a cart in from another store with their dirty clothes and stuff in it and was in the bathroom stall talking to themselves or something, when they came out they also had no face covering. The bathroom itself was disgusting and has paper towels that you have to roll to take which kind of feels like you shouldn't have washed your hands in the first place, not to mention the sinks have handles you also have to touch. We have had covid restrictions for almost a year, these things shouldn't be here or their bathrooms should be closed. The self check out isn't supervised, socially distanced, or cleaned but almost worth it if you care about rude most of the staff is (except for the cashier we had who was super sweet, I forget her name but she had blue hair.) I won't be coming back to this location for any reason while covid is an issue and probably not even after. read more

I would recommend this store highly just for their produce section! I love their wide selection of all things fruit and veggie. I've never gotten a bad item here either-it's all top quality. I had a picnic to purchase watermelon for and wondered outloud how I was going to get a whole watermelon cut and to the picnic. A produce staff person, Dylan, heard me and offered to not only cut the watermelon, but package it up for me. And, I was only chaged the whole watermelon price for that excellent service! Solid 3.75 stars, a bit upscale compared to Walmart or least, less riff raff. Find their home decor & furniture better quality. Overall, more organized and less of a clinic atmosphere. Display their deals usually at the north entrance where a few Redbox vending machines available, sweet. Much better alternative than the hotels' rates, makes my clients happy lol. read more

This is my go to Fred Meyer. I usually come here to do all my shopping. Always having sales, paired with their in store coupons, good deals. Staff at the Starbucks has a lot to be desired in customer service. Their bakery is awesome. We ordered my son's birthday cake from here and the lady that helped us was very nice and they did an awesome job on the cake. Fred Meyer fuel points are the way to go especially when you drive as much as I do. read more

I bought a grill from the Burlington Fred Meyer and I was excited to have something so fancy as I have always had the charcoal types of grills. This was my very first gas grill and they said that everything was there after it was put together for me and this sounded great and super convenient but 2 pieces were missing and I didn't realize that until I got it home and I was grilling on it and I could see through into the bottom of the grill where my tank was. I was missing the door that slides in under the grill and the grease cup. I talked to Joel about this problem and he fixed the issue by issuing me a refund for the parts that I ordered from Brinkman to replace the missing parts and he gave me a $25 gift card for the trouble it caused me. I'm very satisfied with the outcome but still will be more aware of the purchases I make in the future for things I haven't seen before. read more

I had to use the bathroom bad, but there was a guy in there cleaning. I was standing outside and before I chose to use the men's room I thought I would go and ask who's cleaning if I could use the bathroom quickly and that I was sorry. This kid, totally yelled at me to "Get Out! Out Now!" And pointed. Before I bent him over on my knee and spanked the shit out of this early 20's guy. I told him that I have a medical condition, which I do and I need to use the bathroom. He huffed out and I was less than 1 minute. I smiled at him and said thank you I will write a review on your kindness, in a nice voice. It's not a very inviting Atmosphere, the greeters are nice when you come in but customer service, is pretty cold and wouldn't even say happy 40th birthday over the loud speaker to surprise my sister who just got back from over seas with our great military and she always shops at Fred Meyers, just not this one. Maybe policy, I was just told no. It would have been nice and really it wouldn't not have been hard. I get what I need there, but I've never been told no so many times for different stuff and been yelled at now. I hope others don't get treated like this. read more

Since I have moved to the area, the Marysville Fred Meryer's customers have doubled. The stores produce is fresh b/c their business is booming. So why R their prices always being raised.
