I learned about currency around 1st or 2nd grade. So when a Target employee, a young adult, struggled to count the cash I tendered I became deeply concerned about their education and training. She had difficulty adding the denominations, a basic elementary skill, which held up the line. The culmination of their family (parent(s) or guardian(s)), their school curriculum, and their employer failed them. I don't shop at Target as much as I used to. I just happened to be in the area. And just like Safeway, they lock stuff up like personal care items and laundry detergent. I think people will still shop here though because it's close to Sea-Tac Airport.
