The location is great for us and my daughter just likes acting goofy so we let her stay for now. If she continues to be interested, I will put her in a more serious program. On the administrative side, it's been less than stellar given early troubles with costume ordering. We followed details to a T, and as a first time dance mom was a bit neurotic. Costumes arrived and you not only had to melt her I to it, but craftsmanship was poor as there were visible tears in the fabric in multiple spots. Uncertain of what to do, I naturally turned to the dance studio front staff who were rude and basically said I must not have paid attention to the instructions. Needless to say, I was clearly on my own to find a remedy which was not only irritating and confusing but costly. On a side note, and maybe by design but the front lobby is always packed and boiling degrees given it's small cramped size.

No connection with the parent....no staff present, or so it seems. Do you even care when you open the door at the end of the class if my child is picked up? You don't even make a connection with a parent to make sure the children are safe... And if there is a problem, there's no one there to speak to, for the child or the parent. No place I want my child going. Need to learn some manners, at the very least....or do you just care about the tuition??? Glad to be out of that place.

Unlike many dance studios, it's a place that fosters CONFIDENCE, DEDICATION, and PASSION-- which are amazing, lifelong qualities to instill in kids and especially teens. Kirstie, the director, is such a joy to be around and has created a truly unique and special place. Note only Kirstie, but all of the teachers too are committed to the students and create a very positive learning environment. Finally, the students are wonderful providing positive support to one another and put in a great deal of hard work. As I said before, the studio is truly a gem. Send your children or take class yourself as NCDI. It's a great find -- helped me remember why I love dancing again.

Which is fine because it's policy but just letting you know in advance that if you need more flexibility around time this may pose as difficult. I had paid for three classes in advance as that is how they had it laid out at the time. They mentioned they would let the manager know to see if theres credit reimbursement but I havent heard anything since. I've only been to beginner classes but the instructors seem ok! Not super advanced but not super new either so would be according to each person's judgement.

An excellent way to give a try with 10 classes excellent prices. The investment in oneself is priceless. The website is easy to navigate and the studio owner, Alicia, is extremely kind to answer questions prior to registration. A few email exchanges along with a follow up and 5 stars on customer focus was appreciated. I opted to begin by jump starting and return to yoga practice on Saturday, then Sunday....next one Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, ... no option Thursday so I will have a rest day, then back Friday and so forth! A real kick starter to get my fitness goals back on track and strengthen my body, mind, heart, and soul. Pura Vida Studio is a lovely, well appointed, and top notch studio in the safety category. Class starts on time and door locked for client safety and security this is pivotal and while some may disagree, fundamental safety protocols are essential. Pura Vida Studio is clean and utilized space well and even offered a tour first day as new client. A sense of positivity in this local community. I enjoyed meeting the owner who set up the room prior to a full class with a motivational card which seems to be spot on and a delightful presentation and experience. Every teacher that they have had there has been caring, knowledgeable, professional, and patient with the girls. Miss April is so creative with providing extra opportunities to dance like fundraisers, summer camps, the Cary Christmas parade, teas, a daddy-daughter dance, etc... Many GE dancers have earned parts in the NC Ballet's Nutcracker productions. Another thing that we really appreciate about Miss April is her noticeable attention to keeping the girls young ladies by not dressing them like tramps when performing. (Just go to the Cary Christmas parade to see!) In addition to a small, quiet waiting room with closed circuit TV to show the children dancing in the main studio, there is a back room in which you can take young children to watch movies or play, and a nice seating area outside. Located in downtown Cary, it is close to parks and the Cary Public Library. Graceful Expressions is a blessing to my family.
