Tiny place - no seating. But great for - made fresh! I recommend ordering your food ahead of time so that it'll be ready by the time you get there to pick it up. It's amazing how far vegan for has come along!

Well we may disagree on whether Pats or Gino's has a better cheesesteak, but I'm sure we can agree that the Freakin' Vegan got the best vegan cheesesteaks around! I love the name! I appreciate the vegan menu! I recently went vegan after learning animal agriculture is the leading cause of climate change and also realized that animals are sentient beings. Also eating meat is the cause of a lot of illnesses. I was able to order right from Yelp and use apple pay to pay for my pickup order. The food was ready on time. They offer curbside pickup and have different delivery options. There's currently no tables to dine in because of Covid. Saving the world is expensive! 16$ for a cheesesteak and 6$ for Mac n cheese is pretty steep, but the portions are big so I saved 1/2 for tomorrow's lunch. They were both delicious as well! I'm a little too cheap to eat here regularly, but I'll definitely be back to try some more items and I recommend that you stop eating animal products and check them out too!

This place is hands down delicious. My first day on my vegan journey and I felt so inspired and motivated to do this change. The vegan queso was actually better than normal queso. The guac was delicious and I overall have no complaints. The service was good and my 6 yr old even ate everything (as picky as she is). I will absolutely be going back. Also, the calamari was made from mushrooms and it tasted like actual calamari. I loved it.

I Just tried the cutlet hero and it was delicious. It's exactly what you'd expect from a cutlet sandwich. The "chicken" was thin and crisp. Absolutely not greasy at all. Everything was fresh and in perfect proportion. I Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

I have been wanting to try this spot for so long and I finally got the chance. I called in my order of the chic'ken cutlet sandwich and yes it's 100% vegan. When I arrived I parked locally on the street. I walked in and a man that was cutting up food asked if he could help. I told him my name and he said a few more minutes. My food came out about 3 minutes later. I paid a little over $17 and left. When I got home I dug in. The sandwich was huge. It had a good taste to it as well. I definitely would like to try more things at this restaurant.

First off I wanna say that wow! This location has adorable decor and I was very pleased by how clean and organized the inside looked. They don't have dine in so it's pick up only. The food my partner and I got was their Philly Cheesesteak, their bbq Mac and cheese, two of their desserts from gonepie (the peanut butter brownie and cowboy), and their cheesy bbq waffle sandwich! We did not get to take photos of our food because we were very hungry so I apologize however I will still deliver this review: Here's my thoughts: Philly cheese steak: amazzzzinggg! This sandwich was extremely flavorful and even my bf was surprised it was vegan since he himself isn't. The portion size was also very good since he got full off of just half of the sandwich (it was a "hero" size so think subway but bigger). Cheesy bbq waffle sandwich: so yummy. I was thrown off at first because it looked like a regular sandwich on a roll when I unraveled it so I wondered "where's the waffle fries?" But once I took a bite I was met with a cheesy goodness and fries that brought a happiness to both my tummy and face. The bbq chicken tasted just like the real thing if not better honestly, and I enjoyed the coleslaw since it created a nice crunch with the whole sandwich. Bbq mac and cheese: I'll be honest I had high hopes for this item but was a bit disappointed because while the portion size for the Mac was good, I felt that (1) it lacked a bit with the cheese since it didn't feel like a traditional Mac and cheese compared to the vegan ones I've had and (2) the bbq chicken while it was yummy with the sauce, once you finished the smaller portion of that you're basically left with just the Mac. I would recommend they consider adding more chicken to the meal considering the Mac and cheese by itself is $6 so by default (given the price of the bbq chicken option being $12) the assumption is that you're paying $6 for the chicken add on (which isn't a issue but considering the portion you get I feel it isn't as worth it). Nonetheless though I really enjoyed this dish but would skip it next time I visit. The deserts: We had such high hopes for these as they looked delicious but unfortunately we agreed that the texture of the chocolate fudge at the bottoms had a strange texture once chewed that felt grainy and wasn't what we anticipated it to be like. The peanut butter one had a chocolate layer at the top of it that was yummy with the peanut butter but the grainy-like texture just made it hard for me personally to enjoy it for what it was. The cowboy had yummy sprinkles and a mint candy in the center that my bf enjoyed but after a few more bites he said the same issue persisted where it didn't feel as flavorful. Overall would we visit again? Yess! There's so many items to choose from their menu and I want to definitely do reviews/take some photos of my food next time. The workers there too I almost forgot to mention are very kind and speak Spanish incase you struggle with English or want to bring your family to try vegan food. Highly recommend you visit and try even the dishes that we critiqued because everyone's tastes are different. Only giving 4/5 because of the issues mentioned but those other food dishes were perfect

This place is wonderful. Great food. Nicest people. Their chicken parm sandwich is to die for. Tasty on quality bread. I ordered it via takeout as it's more of a takeout type of place. Highly recommend!

One had eaten and taken out from here before and liked it, so we called, didn't need a reservation, off we went. At about 5:15, give or take, we were the first patrons there. It's a lovely large space, warmly decorated with tables and some banquettes. We chose a 4-top kind of right in the center! Comfy chairs, btw. The menu isn't strictly Greek or Lebanese or Turkish, kind of a combo of good choices from those cuisines. We started with an appetizer called Tinos Artichoke. Very interesting, served with small warm fresh wedges of pita plus a cup of deliciously seasoned pita chips. It's a dip of mashed artichokes with Greek yogurt, sun dried tomatoes, parsley, garlic, feta. S tasty! It's a great portion to share among several people. My friends each ordered the chicken soup with vegetables for appetizers. Quite a nice sized bowl for the price; I love avgolemono, if that's what it was (I didn't taste it), just didn't feel like having soup. They both liked it very much and then they were pretty full! I ordered two appetizers for my meal - Symi Shrimp and Grilled Halloumi. Excellent choices, and they worked really well together as a meal! The 2 slabs of perfectly cooked halloumi are served on a bed of romaine lettuce and some threads of carrot. The shrimp are small, very lightly breaded and deliciously seasoned; menu says garlic, lemon, but they were reddish so I suspect maybe paprika as well or cayenne + paprika (not hot but not bland), shredded feta sprinkled liberally on top. I'm a big eater, but after the appetizer I wasn't able to finish my meal; today I reheated in the toaster oven for a lunch treat! One friend had just the Symi shrimp as her meal; the soup had filled her up and she also took some home. Our other friend had the chicken shish. This came as a really well-balanced plate, with plenty of cubes of chicken, rice, and veggies. We ALL had to-go bags! Appetizer portions, just based on the appetizers we were served, are ample for sharing. Didn't stay for dessert, as I had a train to catch back into the City. When I'm out in Bergen County again, I'll think about coming back. If you live in the area, GO, It's very good and not exorbitantly priced.

Tino's Artichoke is a tasty start - an artichoke dip with feta and sun-dried tomatoes served with pita chips. We'll usually get the mixed grill (but subbing lamb in for the beef, way more flavor). Or, a mix of grilled octopus, grilled calamari and a salad. Everything is very flavorful and goes great with the pita bread. Our calamari was a little chewy this last visit, which surprised me. It's never like that. Octopus is always tender and comes with tasty charred onions, peppers, caperberries. Other delicious dishes here - chicken shish, the steak, gyro, grilled shrimp, lamb shish. Lately they've been decorating tables with fresh flowers - nice touch and complements the candles.

But the Red Dot seems to nail every single dish. We started with the multigrain vegan waffle with fresh fruit and loved it! So clean and flavorful, with perfectly ripe fruit. I do think the fruit should have been included, because it would have been a bit plain without it. Next, we had the ancient grains kitchari which was incredible. We loved all the fresh vegetables perfectly cooked, adding a variety of textures and flavors. It is offered as mild, medium, or hot; we got hot, which was great but not overly spicy, and we might request extra spicy next time. Lastly, we got the breakfast paratha wrap filled with their incredible tofu scramble. We were so impressed by how non-greasy it was (both the paratha and the scramble). We are always looking for food that isn't overly salty or oily, which is hard to find, but the Red Dot managed to do everything perfectly. Also major props to their masala chai, made super fresh with your choice of milk. The soy milk was creamy and pleasantly sweet and it didn't even require adding sugar. So rare to find vegan masala chai. The food takes fairly long to come out, but we felt it was worth it because of how delicious everything was; we also appreciated the generous portions. You leave feeling like you barely got anything for what you paid. A restaurant that once seemed worth the price has now turned into a place where you pay more and get less. The quality has dropped significantly as well. The most disappointing part is that they are now serving store-bought items and passing them off as freshly made. We ordered kulcha, and it was obvious that it was not made in-house. This was not just one bad experience--it's the third time we've faced the same issues. We gave them multiple chances, hoping it was a one-time problem, but clearly this is the new standard. Overpriced, disappointing portions, declining quality, and no authenticity. I was incredibly keen to try A2B Indian Restaurant after hearing numerous glowing reviews,…read moreincluding a stellar 4.8-star rating from 7.4k reviews and a passionate recommendation from my fiancé's South Indian friend claiming they have the best masala dosas in the state. Given the difficulty of getting a reservation at my current favorite, Semma, this was meant to be my new go-to. Unfortunately, my Saturday evening experience was an overall big letdown. We arrived to a packed restaurant, with the parking lot at capacity, which certainly spoke to A2B's popularity. The interior was spacious, offering plenty of booths and tables, yet it was still quite full. We were seated quickly after a short 5-minute wait. However, once we sat down, the waiting game began. There was an iPad on the table with the menu, but we couldn't place the order ourselves. After nearly 15 minutes had passed with no server approaching, we finally flagged someone down. When the waiter did arrive, they offered no introduction and simply asked for our order before taking the iPad and leaving. For drinks, the Masala Chai and a Mango Lassi (made with pulp, not fresh mangoes) were both good; no complaints there. We ordered the main event, two Mysore Masala Dosas with the potato masala on the side. The food came out alarmingly fast, within like three minutes, which immediately made me suspicious. How the food was presented was perhaps the most jarring part of the experience, the small separate dishes for the potato masala and the chutneys were placed directly on top of my dosa! That's not hygienic at all, and to have serving dishes underside directly contacting the food was a bad look and presentation. Beyond the questionable presentation, the quality of the dosa was deeply disappointing. It was soggy and not crispy whatsoever. The speed suggested it was possibly pre-made and sitting under a heat lamp. The only saving grace of the entire meal was the sambar, which was genuinely good, almost as good as my mom makes it. Given this experience, I completely lost interest in trying the Palak Paneer or Malai Kofta I had initially planned on. We finished with the Pista Kulfi for dessert, which was just okay, with a heavy taste of cardamom that you'll love only if you're a big fan of that spice. While we were there, another family in front of us complained to the manager about the service, but the manager looked like he didn't care since business is booming for the restaurant. I wouldn't come back here again; there are much better spots for dosas and vegetarian Indian food. This was an overall disappointing experience.

But the more we looked into the menu, the more excited we became. I would say their specialty is burgers and sandwiches. Virtually every ingredient is made from scratch daily (except the sourdough bread, from a local farm), including impressive items like multiple types of burger patty and cheesy cashew sauce. We were so excited about their food that we went three days in a row! Day 1: The Fogwood smoky burger was outstanding. The BLT was also delicious; we loved the smoke salted tofu. For a lighter option, we got the sunshine curry quinoa chickpea bowl. It was healthy and nutritious, although I felt the flavor profile was a bit off; it was heavy on the curry powder and weirdly sweet. The side of mac and cheese was GREAT. We loved the sauce made from sweet potatoes, carrots, and cashews (I think it was oil-free). Not heavy or creamy, just flavorful and good! For dessert, we got the lavender almond cupcake which we LOVED. It was gluten-free, although you wouldn't guess it. It had a perfect fluffy texture and great nuanced flavor. We loved that it wasn't made with coconut oil (just olive oil). Truly special. The vast majority of their desserts (as well as their homemade cheeses) do contain coconut oil. Day 2: The patty melt sandwich was a big hit. Incredible flavor. The Levi Reuben served over greens (instead of on bread) was also delicious. We loved the fennel sage patty and the homemade sauerkraut. We got the kids' PB&J as a snack which was SO good with homemade peanut butter and homemade raspberry jam. Very impressive. Lastly, we couldn't resist getting the signature Snickers-inspired bar, which was so good it should be illegal. Day 3: We were excited to try their daily special, the teriyaki chili rice bowl, made with homemade ginger tofu patties. It was delicious, although it could have used some greens. We tried two more of their burgers to explore the menu further, the flirty burger and the teriyaki burger, and both were great. A devastating disappointment came when, even though we walked in within 10 minutes of their opening, they had already sold out of the special dessert advertised on their Instagram, the carrot spice cupcake with pecan glaze, the only dessert they had that was coconut-free. It seems like they inexplicably only make 4-6 cupcakes per day and then don't make more even if they sell out?! (Who does that??) Overall, we loved the food and are so glad they exist. Major props for making so many things from scratch. We really appreciated how nothing was fried or greasy, really hard to find these days. They also deserve special mention for having top-notch service. All the employees were so kind and accommodating, and every dish came out quickly and made to perfection. The vibe of the restaurant is really peaceful and would be an equally good spot to have a quick meal or to linger all day.

So I decided to I order their single patty Big Mack Smash, with angus meat and American cheese, on a plant based white bun. I don't care for sesame seeds on buns, and there was no option for a regular burger bun (without sesame seeds), so I chose the non sesame seed vegan bun. I also ordered a side of fries with garlic aioli. The plant based white bun was a little dry and the burger patty was also dry and did not have much flavor. Maybe I should have done a double patty for the burger, since it is a smashed patty and a little too thin for my liking. I felt like I was eating a dry burger bun with mostly lettuce, an occasional pickle and the Mack sauce. I probably will not order the garlic aioli again, it had a sweeter and nutty flavor to it, and I prefer more of a savory aioli. I used to order their Blackened salmon with a side of greens and Spanish rice in their BBQ Ranch flavor style, from their old menu. I do miss that meal, it was so flavorful with the crispy onions to top everything off. But I understand that they made the change to better suit the business and cut back on waste. I probably would not order the big Mack burger again. But I will definitely be back to try something else from the new menu. I've been a customer for over 6 years, and have introduced some of my family members and friends to this restaurant, and we've enjoyed our meals here for that time. I love that there are many vegan and vegetarian options here. Although I am neither, it's a great place for those who have dietary restrictions/preferences. Hopefully I find my new go to menu item soon, but in the meantime I will be ordering and trying many of the other new menu items. This is definitely the place to come if you don't want a typical vegan meal. You'd be like a kid in a candy store, with the amount of options that are here. They also have many non vegan options. Turf, Surf and Earth serves EVERYONE and that is their biggest positive!
