Pizza here is absolutely incredible. My family passes through the area every week and we eat here every time. We've tried so many of their pizzas (the angry grandpa with cauliflower crust is our favorite) and every one was fantastic. My kids are pretty picky when it comes to pizza and they love it as well. It's not too greasy, the crust isn't soggy and limp, and they use great ingredients - tastes amazing. It's a great vibe inside, plenty of seating and easy to get to. The owners and staff are super nice and service is great. Not sure how this isn't a sweeping 5 stars already - it def is for us. read more

I stumbled across Famous Pizza in Paramus when looking for a quick bite to eat with my son before he had to go to Physical Therapy in the area. I googled pizza near by and Famous Pizza popped up, and I'm so glad it did! This place is more like a 4.5 stars kind of place. I'll definitely be back and maybe update the review for sure. I really want to try their calzones and speciality pizza slices that I didn't notice on the blackboard in the front until I was leaving. This pizza place is located in a strip mall just off of route 17. My son and I visited on a Monday night around 5pm and it wasn't crowded at all. They had just made a fresh pizza and my son got a plain slice. I was told I could put any toppings on the pizza and they will warm it up for me so I chose mushrooms and onions. We grabbed a water and cherry coke and took a seat at one of the tables by the window. This pizza totally hit the spot! It was super warm and fresh. The crust is just how I like it, thin and crunchy. It was hard and sturdy and definitely didn't soften while eating. The sauce is sweet (again, just how I like it) and they definitely don't skimp on it. The cheese was perfect and the toppings added that little extra flavor to make it a great slice of pizza. My son really liked his plain slice as well. Because they warmed up my slice it was a little charred on the bottom, but that didn't stop me! It gave it just the right amount of crunch. Picked up from here once when we were scoping out neighborhoods. Our two pizzas were overbaked to the point of being unpleasant to eat. Taste was below-average and the meat toppings were especially lacking in flavor. The pizza was just edible; there's no reason to come back here. read more

Sauce is bland and the dough is hard and definitely the same consistency as a frozen pie from ShopRite. I wouldn't return, purely based on the taste not staff or location. I am a total pizza snob, I have probably tried at least most of all of the pizza spots in Northern NJ and am always looking for new spots to enjoy a couple slices -- and this joint did not disappoint! I just had a couple of classic cheese slices and they were phenomenal -- the sauce was sweet and tasty, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the crust was so crunchy and perfectly golden brown. The establishment is small, cozy and nice to have a quick bite to eat on any night. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered the fat boy sandwich (The name does it justice) which is a play on the Rutgers grease trucks sandwiches, but elevated. The place the sandwich on a nice crunchy and fresh Italian bread and the ingredients tasted home made. The portion was enough for two people. So I ordered lunch from this location and ordered a bunch of things. I ordered the personal vegan chicken pizza for myself. When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked in and was greeted. The service was very good and the manager came and explained how they are going to be expanding their vegan menu. He explained what they use and I really liked the idea. This is not really New York style pizza. It's closer to Greek-style pizza from New England. So, if you go there expecting a traditional NY pie, you'll be disappointed. No longer have to drive to Elmwood Park for yummy pizza! I think if you're Indian, you can sniff out one of these from faaaar away. Served on paper plates, wrapped in thin brown paper is a familiar sight you have to love. You get a free cheese pizza with every 2 pies. Personal pizzas, tons of yummy toppings, and a crispy but chewy crust- delish! Since the crust is thin, some of the heavier toppings weigh down the pizza, and it gets messy. Also I've noticed the cheese from the cheese pizza tends to slide off the slice. It's annoying, but I'll deal. Famous Pizza is where the old King's (RIP)/Scardino's (they moved to Lodi) was. Inside is bright, airy and very spacious. There's some seating available if you're interested. There's a convenience fee if you order through the website, so I recommend calling in your order. It's just a teensy bit more money than Blaze, but the crust is different.
