I went to Frazier's expecting a casual dining experience, but was really surprised by how "casual" it is. You order your food at a counter and the food is brought to your table. OK so far. The menus is limited - a variety of tacos and burgers, grilled or fried chicken, and two salads. The food is delivered on plastic trays. The eating utensils are plastic. The napkins are the small, thin paper kind in a dispenser on the table. Wine is served in small plastic cups. The cup is filled to about half. You will pay a lot for this experience. I paid $17 for two medium- size tacos, $7.00 for a half-cup of wine, $15.00 for a mixed drink. The tacos weren't bad but were cold. I had a side of very good guacamole and chips. Two cups of the wine would equal a single glass in most restaurants. So you're paying $14 for a glass of inexpensive wine that should cost about $8 or $9. I was so surprised by the fast-food experience that it has colored my opinion of the food. Most people think it's good. I think it's OK but overpriced. Service was spotty and slow. read more

Our 1st trip to Frazier's was a good one! Great atmosphere with a regular dining area and a gorgeous bar area. There are a couple pool tables where we were able to enjoy shooting pool with the kids. The burgers and flatbread were amazing and everything is competitively priced with your typical mountain top prices. The staff, including ownership and chefs, are super friendly and they stayed on top of everything to ensure our dining experience was a pleasurable one. We'll definitely be back! read more

Thought it was the perfect spot before hitting up the slopes last Friday, boy was I wrong. Five of us walk into the establishment & walk towards the bar to get a table. We all felt unwelcome, seemed as if none of the staff wanted to be there. I asked one of the ladies if any sours were on tap she said "nope", before suggesting another alternative, she said "I'm gonna have to see some ID" I gave her my wallet which shows the license ( keep in mind we're all in our 40's and 50's). She said "you need to take it out". I've never had to take it out anywhere. I did, and a lil corner chipped off when I did. We could all tell how satisfying it was for her to say, " it's invalid now, I can't accept this" . I was actually pretty cool with it, and asked for a sweet tea. She points at the lady next to her, and said she does not take those orders. I asked the other lady, and she says "we don't have sweet tea. They all had smirks and strong Karen vibes. A tourist trap at its finest. You'll see the cool fireplace and the nice lights outside and think it's a must-go, however that is not the case in the slightest. Only positives at this place was the customer service and the interior design. The food was so dang expensive. It's comparable to theme parks which I guess it kinda is cause it's right in front of the ski resort. 3 dollars for a small water cup sized soda. 17 dollars for a chicken Parmesan that had undercooked noodles and mediocre sauce. It really wasn't that good for the price they had it as. Felt like perhaps it was microwaved and brought out really. The garlic bread was nice but was tiny. It was the size of an AirPod case. But yeah, the owner (I guess not sure but he was behind the bar and had a unique looking outfit with owner-vibes) had on a cool outfit with a really cool mustache and was nice. The people there were nice. Greeted us with a smile. They had pool on the side with plenty of TVs with different games on. Definitely earned that single star for that. Words cannot even describe how bad this place was. We went here on NYE and they were literally not serving anything except 30 dollar pizzas. We ordered a buffalo chicken pizza and it looked like a giant quesadilla shell and with cheese and McDonald's chicken tenders slapped on the top. We ate it and let's just say the entire group paid for that mistake for DAYS afterwards. Everyone was so SO sick. On top of that I also ordered a drink there and the cup had a hole in it so it leaked all over me - when I asked for a new cup the bartender ignored me for about 5 min while the drink continued to leak all over the bartop. The creature at the register asked me if I was paying with credit or debit, and I (after a hard day of trying to learn snowboarding) not understanding the context of the question, responded that I don't have to pay with credit or debit and that I can also pay with cash, to which she rudely interrupted and said the next customer paying with only credit/debit needed to come forward. Fraziers Tavern was the first place we dined at when we arrived in Beech Mountain. The place looked cool, but there weren't many people in there. Our biggest complaint is that the food was overpriced for the quality/portion that was served. The service was mediocre at best. We mentioned that it was my wife's birthday and there was little to no acknowledgment. There was no one at the counter when I went back to get a cake to sing happy birthday to my wife. I had to go find someone and when I asked her if I could buy a cake she said, "There's no one at the counter?" Uh, why would I be asking you to help me? Then, she seemed bothered when I asked her for enough forks for everyone at the table to have one. Not a pleasant experience at all. It cost almost DOUBLE what it cost at all of the other places that we dined at during our visit and the food/service were MUCH better at the other places. I do not recommend. read more

The worst hamburger I have ever had. I just had a $12.95 hamburger with cheese and McDonalds blows them out of the water. And the prices are ridiculous. My burger didn't include fries. Oh bummer. Honestly, the ambience is right. Nice, big, open space with the lighting and music you want in a sports-bar-like space as this one is. Also the staff was great. Friendly and eager to serve. But then the food situation. It is late summer. Very few people in town. Yet the food situation feels like the peak of ski season where skiers just settle for anything hot and fast, at any price. We fed 1 adult and 5 kids with a total of two beers and three kids drinking only water for $101. The wing flavors on the menu were not actually available. Chicken sandwiches ordered with "just lettuce" (kids) were brought to the table with "just cheese" both kids are unfortunately lactose intolerant. The beer on tap was unfortunately not cold enough, but the bottled one was nice and cold. Beer selection was sufficient. Everything is served in paper baskets, which is fine but also obviously involves saving the expense of washing dishes. Which I respect. But while saving those expenses on staff and washing supplies can you please trust us to use a ketchup pump or bottle? If you are bringing condiments to the table in those little plastic cups, please fill the cups. The amount of blue cheese dressing and ketchup in the cups was simply embarrassing. The quantity of fries involved in a side order was also disappointing. It looked more like an accident than a side. I feel like I should've known better with the location being right at the entrance of the ski resort, but I was trying to be optimistic. I think you have great potential, Frazier's, but find a way to not make your customers feel exploited. Surely there is balance available. read more

This place could not have been more accommodating to my group. After a wedding, on a night they must have been pretty quiet, they stayed open for us to continue our celebration. The sign outside states "open late" and the girl working said that 8:45 is late in Beech Mountain. We won't ttry to go there again. Major improvement in 2020 compared to 2019. Food has been improved and the menu has been expanded. We were pleasantly surprised when we stopped in recently. Food was solid. Also ventilation seems much better than 2019 when there was a heavy grease smell in the air. It felt much cleaner now in 2020. If you had a bad time previously I'd give it another chance. We visited Frazier's a year ago and were pleased with the prices, but the place looked run down and the staff were clueless. Fast forward to last night: $8 beer, $13 for a Steak n Shake sized single burger (sides were extra). The $8 beers were served in plastic and the $13 burger was served on a styrofoam plate. I had to physically walk up to the counter to get a knife, which was also plastic, to cut my burger. If you want to charge fine dining prices, you should at least provide: 1. Table service 2. Real plates, glasses, utensils 3. Some level of customer service. The amount of waste that is being produced by this establishment by not using these items is despicable, especially in a town like Beech Mountain. Also, there is no kid's menu. Your options are buying a $20 pizza, $13 burger, or $9 chicken fingers for you child- none of these things come with sides at that price.
