I'm surprised by the number of lower end reviews as our meal at Fratilli was nothing more than spectacular. Our server was constantly attentive to our needs and the quality of the food was beyond expectations. We started with the Caesar salad and the Bibb lettuce couldn't have been any fresher. Our main course was the Chicken Parmigiana and it certain did not disappoint. It was not "sauced" enough, but the waitress rapidly provided more pomodoro sauce. We felt that the closeness of the tables and loud voices, of one table trying to out talk the other, part of the ambiance. A proto-typical Italian restaurant where everyone is treated as family. Fratelli hits the mark as to what one should expect in an Italian eatery. Yes, it is pricey and not being from Boston I expect you can find equal quality at lower prices. Yet this location is in a five-star hotel and as such you should expect prices to reflect the location. Obviously you are not going here to expect Olive Garden prices! We will be back to Encore Boston Harbor and our first reservation will be made at Fratelli. read more

Had a large group dinner here a few nights ago. I arrived early and got a drink at the bar. BAR: When I was looking at the cocktail menu I felt like it was expensive, but the bartender told me "we don't have well liquor here, everything is top shelf." Cool, if I'm paying high end prices I expect high end quality so sure. I asked to see the full liquor list to see what they had. At a glance, I could not see a single bottle of rum and none were listed on the list. The bartender told me "we have Bacardi, Captain Morgans, and some other one..." Took them a bit to find the bottle, it was a Ron Zacapa, which is a pretty decent rum. I would have preferred a little more selection (Foursquare would have been nice), and not to have a bartender try and claim that Bacardi or Captain Morgans are 'top shelf.' At a bar charging these prices, I would have expected a MUCH higher overall quality. Any who, my Rum Old Fashion cost $29. Cool. Keep in mind that it looks like the reviews that are positive are talking about this places 'espresso martini' which isn't exactly a beacon of excellence for a bar program. RESTAURANT: Sat at the table and luckily had great company. Our server was really nice as well. The appetizers we ordered were eh; charcuterie plates were average at best and overpriced. For some reason they include a shot glass filled with fig jam as well as a few random raspberries... Dinners were around $30-60 and I think were generally average overall. Most of the serving ratios were on the small side. I have to hand it to Nick Verano, I didn't think you could screw up a chicken parm with such grace. Let's talk about the $37 "a north end classic" Chicken Parm: The breading was almost like a 'beer batter' which created a soggy outside with an unpleasant taste and look. The chicken wasn't pounded thin, so each bite was inconsistent. The chicken had a 'previously frozen' texture that left parts chewy. The cheese on the outside was depressing. The dry smear of pesto on the plate was...odd. The penne served on the side tasted like dried pasta that was clearly not house made... $37 and they can't even serve a decent house made pasta? The sauce wasn't terrible at least, maybe they at least make that in house? If I had paid $12 for this dish I still would have thought I overpaid. All in all I would come here if you have some kind of 'comp' from the casino that can only be used here or if an enemy got you a groupon or something. This food is trash and it's incredibly overpriced. The bar program is a joke and overpriced. Our server was great though and I hope one day I can have him again at a good restaurant. I honestly feel bad for people that gave this place a good review... I hope one day they can find themselves at a real Italian restaurant and not some parody of Italian culture. read more

Fratelli - $37 for the worst Chicken Parm I've ever had. Blows my mind they call their version "a north end classic" Comes with store bought penne - Italian Near Me - Everett, Massachusetts

15 of us went for a birthday dinner. Overpriced and poorly staffed. Food was cold, entrees came out sporadically, drink was spilled on a guest, barely an apology. I understand this is a casino, but of that is the rationale then the food shouldn't be $30 for a plate of spaghetti. Lousy experience. read more

W$30 for overcooked pasta which included a bland meatball... And this is an ITALIAN place which is suppose to be a tribute to the North End?! Shameful. Wildly overpriced for food comparable to Olive Garden. The brussel sprouts were the best part of the meal - but even that was missing a little something. I'm not gonna lie, the service was good. But I don't need to spend $111 on two meals, 2 drinks and a side in order to tip $24 for prompt, courteous service. read more

I had a Bachelor party a few weekends ago and the bride to be wanted to make sure her future husband and his friends had a good time. I called Nick and he said he would make sure the party of five would be taken care of. He didn't disappoint. They said the food and service was exceptional. I always feel comfortable recommending his restaurant to my customers. read more

Very overpriced for low North End food... for claiming to be related to Bricco and Mare (two places we love) we definitely had higher expectations for the quality of food at this casino location. Prices were pretty similar to Mare and how we would expect them to be as at a casino but the standards in taste for charging that much, fell short... To start with, the appetizers were awful... we order the octopus, eggplant parm and calamari and despite their nice appearances they all tasted over done or were sitting in the window for too long. The tenderness that octopus prepared right normally has was ruined by large 5 well done legs... the eggplant parm had hard cheese that looked dried out and when you cut it, had that fridge pizza solidity vs a nice cheese pull (again brings to my point that it felt like it was sitting in the window). The calamari was probably the best of the three but still didn't warrant a $22 price. Entrees were better and other than the spinach being a little too oily, the seared tuna was the highlight of the night. Side note, we are also pretty sure that the Amarone that we ordered was not Amarone but a cab as it did not hold the acidic and brown sugar flavor profiles normally associated with one and instead tasted very dry and lighter bodied. To be charged $23 for that which both of us are sure was not an Amarone was disappointing. In conclusion, the 4 of us paid roughly what we expected ~$100 a person after tip, but were very dissatisfied with the quality that came with it. We were at Mare Sunday and the experience were so polar it really makes me question the relation... read more

The food was amazing and this was our favorite restaurant at Encore. The squash blossoms app is a must. They are so delicately fried to perfection and have a citrus essence that I am still dreaming of them. I enjoyed the veal Milanese. I asked for it to be lightly cooked and again ....perfection. Our guests enjoyed the lobster risotto , the veal Parm, and gnocchi. They all tasted delicious! The service was great and was the best restaurant service that we had at the hotel. Unlike the other restaurants at the Encore, the cocktails were served timely. I would highly recommend this restaurant but it is quite loud. The ricotta pie desert didn't taste fresh and had a slight refrigerator or freezer taste. Despite this I give the place a top rating as everything else was excellent. read more

Fratelli - Delicious veal Milanese! - Italian Near Me - Everett, Massachusetts

Hands down the best restaurant at the Encore. Been there multiple times since the casino has opened and every time the food was outstanding. We have gotten the Caesar salad, zucchini flowers, shrimp scampi, multiple kinds of pizzas, the salmon dish and the veal Milanese and everything was delicious. Excellent service as well! We will definitely be back! read more

Went here on Saturday October 5,2019 with friends for a birthday dinner. Location: Inside the Encore casino Interior: Very dark and mildly lit in this restaurant. There is also a large bar area to chill in. Food: The food was okay. Nothing I would come back for especially since they gave me the wrong thing. I order the four meat pizza yet was given salami. My friends enjoyed their charcuterie plate, but that's not much skill put into "cooking" that. The eggplant parmigiana was good. The calamari was reported to be tasty. The gnocchi was reported to be good as well. The espresso martinis were strong. The tiramisu was a good size and tasty. Service: We managed to get a table fast- we got there about 12am. The waiter- David L (bald, thin, about 5'7, Caucasian) seemed a bit preoccupied and didn't really spend too much with the table. Later on it was revealed he was busy flirting with a table of twenty something year olds. The other person that keep the water glasses full at our table and wrapped up our food seemed unhappy to be at work. When it was time to take the tab I went to make sure he wasn't missing a credit card and I found him sitting with a table of twenty year olds with our credit cards in his hands as he was flirting with the ladies. He was yukking it up and being a ladies man as he cavalierly had our cards in his hands. I was incensed at his lack of professionalism. The only reason we came here was because it was the only place open. I will not make that mistake again! I certainly will not patronage this place- I can get better Italian food in the South End especially for these prices. Save your money eat before you come to the casino. read more

It was my first time visiting this hotel and I am so happy I made reservations here. It was my husband's birthday dinner and the food was absolutely amazing. The service was even better!!! If you're thinking about it, go for it. Also dress code is casual. 10/10 read more

We were lucky enough to get seats at the bar. Just good timing. Danielle and Micheal were the bartenders. It was busy but they both provided great service and were so personable. Danielle makes some of the best Martinis I have had other than my own. Food was great. We had not been there in a while and we were so happy that we chose to eat there. read more

This place is great on the service and atmosphere! My day and I had zucchini flowers and filet mignon. Our waitress was Marcell (sorry if I spelt that incorrectly) and she was absolutely amazing. This review is for sitting at the bar for drinks and food. They have good spacing, dividers between patrons, dividers between bartenders and patrons, and staff are on top of Covid protocols. Staff have all been pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere is great because it is connected directly to the Casino floor. We have enjoyed drinks and appetizers. The meatballs are a must if you are a big eater. All the other apps are executed well. The bread and oil are great also. Deducting one point because the bar has been missing ingredients to a few of their specialty drinks. Why put it on the menu and not have the ingredients on hand? read more

Not sure about these negative reviews - we LOVED IT :) and that's from a guy that knows a good gnocchi and chases it around the world. It's not the best I've had ever but when compared to say, the gnocchi I had at teatro earlier that week, it's head and shoulders above. The wait staff was awesome and the ease of access to the gaming floor was also appreciated ;) the only downside is the ambiance is pretty darn loud but hey...it's a casino what do you expect. Overall - would repeat read more

The food, drinks, and service was amazing!!! What else is there to say? And one of the bartenders is an absolute sweetheart/hoot. Got the oysters, steak and mashed potatoes, and some drinks. Expensive but worth every penny. read more

I would love to give the biggest shoutout to our waitress Rima. My friends and I were celebrating a birthday and Rima made us feel so welcome. The energy she brought out to our party and how attentive she was to our needs truly won us over to coming back again. The food, drinks, environment and service were all top quality! My friends all had an espresso martini. They are espresso martini fanatics and they gave this their stamp of approval, which says a lot. For anyone dining at Fratelli, please request Rima. Haven't even ordered our main dish yet. I ordered ice tea was served raspberry ice tea, waitress didn't inform me they did not serve black tea. We were served bread that was like eating croutons. This place was great, although pricey for the quality of food. I'm not a fan of the ala carte style menu, but they did have a wide variety of options. Nice ambiance and servers were exceptional! I had Veal Milanese which was a giant portion, just wishing they had a sauce over it. The arugula salad on top was delicious but didn't offer enough moisture to the veal. Overall, been there, done that. Wouldn't typically spend $50 on an ala carte meal but hey, it cost me less than the casino! read more

Do not hesitate, make a reservation and go. One of the best Italian meals I have had the pleasure of enjoying from here to Roma. Loved everything. Finally got to try the hype of Stuffed Squash Blossoms and they were really yummy! Sauce was amazing, the bolognese and pasta perfect, and the Chicken Parmigiana did not disappoint. I thought my family made the best meatballs, but these meatballs were beyond my expectations... What can I say, generous portions, delicious food & excellent wait staff...Can't wait to go back...and all this praise comes from a pretty good judge, my Family owned an Italian Restaurant for 30 years! Have to review my experience at Fratelli's yesterday...went with a friend who spends much of her time at Encore and wanted to try Fratelli's, as it is one of the few restaurants she had not yet tried. I am not a fan of casinos, and assumed the restaurant would impress me about as much as casinos do... What a pleasant surprise when I had the polar opposite experience of what I anticipated! Josephine, the bartender we had, was the main reason for what a great time I had! The woman was amazing as she served drinks, served food, kept the bar AND the back running as smoothly as humanly possible. Was rather amused by the guy who had the title of "manager," because it was clear to me who was running things! Her service was superb, the food was almost as good as her service, the environment was welcoming, place had some ambiance and seemed very clean. I am hoping that someone in authority offers a thank you to Josephine for how hard and well she works, hopefully in the form of financial compensation, which is the best way to say thank you in business. My one complaint is how sick I am of seeing sports on televisions at restaurant bars. Can we PLEASE acknowledge that there are a number of other options that can be displayed on these televisions for those of us that do not live and breathe sports?! That male interests should not be the only priorities reflected on the televisions?! My best, SueJ read more

We had a 7:45 reservation to celebrate my birthday. Immediately we were welcomed with Happy Birthday wishes! Adrian was our server, he was so nice and attentive! We ordered Shrimp Scampi and Bruschetta for appetizers. They bring complimentary bread which was warm and delicious! I had to hold myself back from eating too much before our big meal! My husband had New York sirloin which was very tender! The French fries were probably the best we have ever had! I had the Braised Beef Short ribs with creamy Polenta. The beef was as tender as butter and the superbly marinated short ribs were a delight to my taste buds. The polenta was delicious in combination with the beef and sauce. They serve a very generous glass of wine and to make my birthday celebration complete! They brought out a beautifully decorated tray with tiramisu and Happy Birthday wishes AND 2 complimentary Lemoncello! Adrian offered to take a picture of my husband and I together! So thoughtful and he got 3 really good pictures! We can't wait to return to Fratelli's at Encore! We think it is our favorite restaurant at Encore! read more

We went with a party of 18 and we're told we'd have a private room and a 1500$ minimum. We were not placed in a private room, given two tables. The 80$ steak cooked medium was charred. Very good food and service but be prepared if you have no reservation you are not likely to get a table from Thursday through Saturday.

Their rush hour special is unbelievable. I loved each course, and I'm generally picky! I got the octopus, carbonara pasta, and the short rib. The dessert is tiramisu. I don't really understand the many negative reviews. Maybe it's, a generational difference but from someone who's been around and has eaten at many restaurants in many countries I gladly give Fratelli 5 stars. My husband and I have eaten there several times and have not been disappointed. It's not only the delicious food but it's about an old world experience. Waiters in white jackets, caring service and an obvious need to give good service. The food is delicious. Homemade pasta, light and flavorful sauce. Try the shrimp scampi appetizer. If you don't want to lick the plate I'd be surprised. Yes, it's expensive but have you gone grocery shopping lately?
