Portion is huge here! Pancakes are bigger than my face! Their house made hot sauce is super delicious with schnitzel and sausage. It's usually pretty busy, but food comes out pretty fast, and service usually is pretty good too. They also have regular coffee and hazelnut coffee at the same time. read more

Great value for the amount of food they provide. When I come here for lunch with my coworker on Wednesdays, we always share the German deluxe lunch and 2 teas. Total cost $13.95 tax included. The lunch comes with a hand full of bacons, 2 sausages, 4 slices of hams, a medium size schnitzel, mash pototoes, cabbage with gravy. Great for sharing if you're not a big eater. Staff is always friendly. Food takes about 10 minutes to be brought out and plenty of parking outside. read more

One of the best darn breakfasts that I've had in a long time! We had tried to visit here a few weeks ago but had to go for Plan B when we saw the line up out the door. Thankfully, the snow had deterred a lot of people from coming out so we managed to snag a table! I ordered the German Breakfast (9.75). Holy crow...there was so much food on the plate! The 3 scrambled eggs had a nice melted covering of Cheddar mixed in with sauteed peppers and onions which made it feel a bit like an omelet. Underneath the mound of meat, there were some pan fried potatoes (that were unfortunately a little bit on the soggier side) and something called a potato patty. This patty had the crispiness of pan fries while having the sweetness of Stuffing...it was amazing. The ham (12 o'clock) was apparently cured in house, and given how tender and reminiscent of smoked meat it tasted, I wouldn't doubt it! The bacon was very thick cut as well, and seemed to have gotten a similar treatment as the ham. There was also a homemade sausage underneath that's about 2x the size of a normal breakfast sausage, albeit being a lot juicier and bursting with flavour! We also got a side of their fries here and they were done to perfection! Crispy and firm on the outside while soft and hot on the inside, with a bit of seasoning, could it get any more perfect? if you have a big appetite, and are willing to make a journey out here (it's literally a block away from Fraser Foreshore Park), you won't be disappointed. read more

Hidden gem nestled in an industrial area. Hours are M-F 0630-1400 and Sat 0700-1400. Huge portions for a great price. Parents suggested coming here. They get the best value for their buck. They split a German breakfast consisted of 3 eggs scrambled, mixed with pepper, onions and cheese with handmade sausage, bacon and cured ham. I ordered a vegetarian omelette which consisted of 3 eggs with pepper, onion cheese mushroom tomato and spinach. It came with hash brown, one potato pancake and toast. Not a huge fan of omelettes but had no choice since giving up beef and pork for Lent :( Really wanted to try their German breakfast but will have an excuse to come back another time. read more

This place is in the middle of nowhere. The only clue you got that there was something here were the crowds of people walking in the same direction with purpose! It's a go up and order kinda deal, and good luck finding a table! Somehow we managed to grab a table for 8 people as shortly after, the lineup was ridiculous! The portioning is definitely hearty, with copious amounts of delicious bacon. The pancakes are big and very yummy. The schnitzel (thank God for spell check) is deliciously thin and the gravy is soooo good. There's a little water station at the corner which you can help yourself from. My dad had been raving about this place for ages and I'm so glad we finally went. This is now one of my top fav places I must eat at whenever I go to Vancouver. Oh, make sure you go early! I love the home-cooked food, the value, and the cozy atmosphere here--it used to be my favorite brunch spot. Had to drop to a three star review after experiencing what was a truly lacking service on a Wednesday morning. I could see that the kitchen was being overworked and the servers were being swamped with orders. The look on their faces were pure stress! It got to a point where they were too stressed to take any more orders from a customer. In the duration we were there we witnessed a few tables leaving and having their orders refunded. The German breakfast is gigantic, the potatoes are cooked fresh and the bacon is out of this world! The pancakes are gigantic, there are 2 to a plate, they are as round as the plate and they are so big and fluffy they look like pies! And soooo delicious! Went back for brunch at 11:15am right before the lunch crowd starts to flood in. My Mom and I both ordered the German Breakfast, which composes of scrambled egg with onion and pepper, potato wedges, a small sample of potato pancake, half of Anton's homemade sausage, generous portion of ham and bacon, and 2 pieces of toast (white, brown or multi-grain). This place is amazing, talk about a hole in the wall location. Located within the industrial lines, farms and truck routes. Damn the food portions were amazing food was sooo tasty and the friendly service was sweet and simple. The food choices were plentiful the environment inside is friendly. Make sure to come early and prepare to wait, such a hidden gem. The German style breakfast with a mix of sausages omelet, schnitzel, gravy. Home made hot sauce fried potatoes and potato pancake. Ok food with horrible service. Our office is located in the same area as the Fraser Park Restaurant, so we decided to do a take out order from them to celebrate a co-worker's promotion. We called ahead of time (9-930am) to place our order for a noon pickup. We figured that the 2.5 hour advance notice would be more than enough time for them to accomodate our orders and for us to pick it up on time. Wrong! We ended up having to wait almost half an hour for our order because the staff was completely unorganized. They had no idea which orders belonged to who, even though we had specifically paired each order with a name while over the phone. The worst part about all of this, is that we paid for an order of soup and they didn't even give it to us, so I paid extra for nothing. Schnitzel sandwich is alright. Pork dip was extremely dry and the heavily oil based dip sauce was the only thing that saved that sandwich from being unedible. A co-worker order a tuna melt sandwich that was as disgusting to look at as it was to eat. You could see all the tuna 'juice' just pour out of the sandwich as she went to pick it up. The amount of liquid in that sandwich made it a disgustingly soggy mess to eat. She couldn't even finish half of it, because it was that bad. The salmon lunch looked decent, though. Their takeout etiquette could also use some work. We had 12 orders in total and they only gave us 4 napkins. It's a small issue, but an issue nonetheless. These small diner-esque places are a dime a dozen in Vancouver, so I will not be returning given the poor service and mediocre food. read more

For newbies, know that you have to order at the counter right away and yo seat yourself. Don't be standing at the front like a fool like me. The food is super cheap and very delicious. I tried to do the German breakfast and had to take it home. It was huge! The wait is a bit longer so expect that. It's super busy on the weekends, so be sure you are expecting that as well. The French toast is tasty. The home made sausage and cured bacon is absolutely Delish. You'll also have to get cozy with others. This is a German style diner that offers large portions for their prices. It makes you not want to go to those big name pancake/breakfast chain restaurants once you come to this gem. They only open until 3pm? and close on Sundays. A "German Breakfast" with sausage/bacon, eggs, hash, toast costs you around $7. They also have this great chili sauce that I use on everything! (I like spicy). You order/pay at the register then find a seat. Once the food is ready, they will bring it to your table. I usually go for the normal German Breakfast but they are also known for their amazing Beef Dip. A must try! read more

This is a really cute local restaurant. It definitely has the diner feel. It is very simplistic and you can tell that wanted no hassle or expense when it came to the décor, but it was clean and pleasant still. The bathroom was really clean, which is a huge bonus. Sometimes I really appreciate the simplicity of small local places. Don't let the fact that the restaurant is in an industrial part of town bother you. It is busy and you can tell well loved by the locals. The service was really great. You order your food and pay at the counter and then they bring you your food. I was having trouble deciding what to get and the lady at the counter was extremely patient and kind to me. I decided to get the corned beef and my partner got the German breakfast with schnitzel and gravy. He said his was okay. Nothing special, but not bad. I the corned beef hash with sunny side up eggs, multi grain toast, and homemade hot sauce. I really enjoyed mine. I am not a huge corned beef hash person, but I would order this again. Came here for brunch on a Friday. Its tucked away in an industrial area ( tricky to find) There is free parking around. The menu has many different options from breakfast, brunch, lunch and baked goods. I ordered the quesadilla with garden salad. The portions are huge FYI, the quesadilla was wrapped more like a burrito and stuffed :) . My partner had ordered the Beef Dip which was also amazing, the fries were steak cut . Both portions were very big. They also offered a home made hot sauce. The ambience is more like a diner atmosphere with casual seating. You help your self to coffee and tea. I love(d) Fraser Park for what it is and isn't. From the charm of the garden tap style self serve water to the quirky spot. The food is pretty cheap, and for the most part very good. I shudder to think of the nutritional value, but that isn't why you go here. The Beef Dip is a favourite, and the soups are always amazing. The take home soups in the fridge and freezer are a great deal and I often grab one or two to take home. I have tried the schnitzel sandwich and burger, and it's not the schniztel, I crave, love and miss from Ukranian restaurants, Czech restaurants, or Italian... It's quite small and it gets busy, so you usually need to be there by 11:30 to get some reasonably quick service and any hope of a table if you plan to eat in. If this was my first visit today, I'd give it two stars at best. The show was this week featured on "You've gotta eat here" which seems to have made it even busier. My second clue to come back another day should have been the ominous signs posted outside and inside. To parahprase - Anton away, we are training new staff, thanks for your patience and support. So, to sum it up: Chef/owner away Lots of new staff Just featured on a foodie show Equals a recipe for disaster. Its a typical truck stop style cafe... Huge portions super tasty very & greasy spoon... cafeteria format of ordering as well as seating with long tables. I was invited here for lunch and ordered the clubhouse which was full of small bacon bits, processed meats and a few cups of mayo... The soup was huge and tasty beef barley with what seemed to be canned or fake bits of beef, sort of strange.. others ordered the special which was beef stroganoff and that same beef that was in the soup... The place was packed way out at the end of Byrne road in the middle of warehouses and factories... So packed there wasnt a spot of all three of us to eat... but by the time our food came there was good turn over in the seats, but it was packed, Service friendly and run off their feet.. all in all the food prices where cheap. I have three words for you: German Deluxe Breakfast! My wife and I can split one of those bad boys, and be perfectly content, if not a little stuffed. Their beef dip is a nice lunch option as well. Price wise, their prices are extremely reasonable. One thing to be aware of are the crowds. It's more or less a communal seating experience. On a nice day, we generally just order over the phone, pick it up, and eat in the park overlooking the Fraser river. No...you don't "gotta eat here". When we ordered our breakfast, we were told it would be 30-40 minutes. No problem, we'll have coffee while we wait. They were out of mugs for the self serve coffee. Not wanting to use a disposable cup, we waited for the mugs to come out of the dishwasher. 10 minutes later, mugs arrived but now they were out of coffee. 5 minutes later we heard that the coffee was ready but not enough was made, so one of my friends went without. Finally breakfast arrives, but it is just okay. Way too salty for my taste. My friend who never got coffee also never got toast with her meal. I gave her mine. I would caution that call ahead orders are not guaranteed to be ready on time, and leave yourself time to stand in line (and wait for a table) at peak hours. Best to go mid-morning, or after the lunch rush. But if you're relaxed and easy going, you will not be disappointed. They have about 20 seats and 6 or 8 outside on nice days, and the menu spans breakfast, and lunch with the usual lunch items plus specials each day of the week. read more

It came with a generous portion of cured bacon, potato pancake, potato wedges, 3 eggs scrambled, 2 pieces of toast, and their house made sausage! Another must try is their blueberry pancake! I expected more from this place. Maybe because it was over hyped to me, or maybe I ordered the wrong thing. It just wasn't what I was looking for. I came early one day before work and had their German breakfast. My plate came piled high with scrambled eggs mixed with veggies, sausage, bacon and cured ham. It was served with a potatoes and toast as well. The best thing on the plate was their cured ham. Yum, but the rest of it was just meh. My dining companion got something similar but it came with a schnitzel and gravy. The schnitzel wasn't thin enough and was overcooked leaving it tough and chewy. All in all, I was a bit disappointed by everything. I am curious to try their lunch offerings though, so perhaps a return visit will be in the future. read more

Popped in there today. There were maybe 6 people in there. All the tables had dirty plates, napkins, cutlery etc. on them. The floor had exploded mayo packs and some used napkins on it. Staff seemed not to care as they walked right by it without a second look. I know it's off the beaten path but they cpuld still clean it. The dust on the fake plants has to be 3 inchs thick and it smells like a clogged grease trap. My friend ordered the pulled pork. Said it was ok but nothing was special about it. We waited 15 mins.
