My husband raved about this place. We ordered 4 slices at the window. All of them looked like and tasted dry.

We always have a great time here! The food is fresh and super delicious. The staff is friendly but not over the top. Good price and great drinks! The place is nicely decorated and I love that they have a full bar! Try the espresso martini. It's delicious. We also had this day the family meal. It fed all of us really well. We will be back:)

I went here for fish bowls one night and had fun! The staff was kind, and the pizza from the window was delicious. Only issue is there is not a lot of seating so you have to have a reservation. I tried going for dinner one night, but the wait was an hour. I will definitely come here again!

Stopped by here with the fam while visiting. It's fine. Prices are good. Ambience- not bad but the lighting is harsh. Turn it down. Service - no complaints. Food - Mmm. Mediocre but ok. Pizza toppings were good but I didn't love the crust - gummy and lacking flavor. Spaghetti marinara was just ok. Salads were good although they drenched it with cheese which I never understand. Price - Ok this is where they win. I am from the Bay Area and could not believe you can get a large pizza plus a huge plate of pasta to share, four salads and 4 alcoholic beverages -- for under 70 bucks. AYKM?! Our drinks were half price because we were there before six but still. Great value for groups IMO. So - it's ok and a good value for the money. Would like it better if they fix the lighting and up their pizza game. Loved the neon out front.

Lately for dinner I've been ordering their Antipasto salad as I really love it. Because it's so big I usually have to ask for a box to take home what I can't finish. I highly recommend it. $18 Their pizzas are always good. They have 3 pizza sizes and their biggest is a giant size. We continue to come here quite frequently some of which is due not only for their service, good food but also because of their Happy Hour wines by the glass which at Happy Hour are 50% off. A slight bummer is that currently for the last month or so they have been out of their Chianti wind by the glass. Our waitress told us that's because they're in the process of changing their wine menu. An Italian oriented menu without a Chianti wine to me is sad ... however for many years I've found Franky's to be a very nice restaurant, caring about their patrons and so I have faith that soon a basic Chianti wine will be available again.

Happy hour Spaghetti and Meat sauce and pizza with Garlic. My glass of pinot nior was half off.

For and Italian restaurant, I expected more flavor. My wife and I found our Valentine's Day dinner to be bland and yuck yuck.

Terrible service. The food I got did not match the order, the staff was rude, and they don't care about costumers.

Love love LOVE this place. It took me a long time to come here because other reviews made me…read moreskeptical that I would be impressed, but I am, and this has become one of our consistent go-tos. They have absolutely NAILED their Pana Cotta. Normally, I wouldn't be a huge fan of pana cottas as it has come across to gelatin-y in the past, but I get it every time. The service is amazing. It is clear they are aiming to offer an elevated experience. That being said, it is on the longer side of a meal, and I find it much more enjoyable when I accept the leisurely pace and order an appetizer. When I do order an appetizer, the meal seems perfectly paced. Without it, it could seem a bit slow. I've loved the zucchini blossoms, calamari, and Caesar salad. (I do really like the burrata ones as well, but it's just so easy to make on your own from Trader Joes at a much lower premium.) I also love that they offer complementary focaccia, which used to be made in house. I don't believe it is now, but it is still very good. My fave dishes to get are anything with their droolworthy polenta like their chicken or veal saltimbocca (I prefer the chicken) for dinner or their chicken marsala for lunch. The chicken marsala probably is my absolute favorite, which means I HAVE to come here for their lunch sometimes, which are only Thursday and Friday. Really lovely atmosphere. I have and love to sit on their porch but no longer do because of the traffic noise. Chico designed Bruce with the traffic light right there and it's so bad - basically a raceway for meatheads in their loud trucks and motorcycles when the light turns green. Mosquitos absolutely become a problem so while I love that they sometimes put up the garage style doors/windows when the weather is nice to create a lovely indoor/outdoor experience, if you're a mosquito magnet like me, that is not the time for you to come in without mosquito protection. (One time was so bad that even though they closed it, I left with - I kid you not, I counted - no less that 18 mosquito bites on my calf.

The carpet in particular is somewhat outdated and very dreary. We were seated right away with an evening reservation. Our server was the most delightful, helpful as well as professional person. She definitely made for an enjoyable experience. The menu is nicely broad with some very good and interesting selections. For an appetizer I selected the Alsatian Tarte Flambe. With the description of a "tarte" plus "puffed pastry" I was somewhat surprised when what looked like a flatbread arrived. Although somewhat true to the description I expected something like a cup shaped pastry. It was delicious enough so no complaints over the ingredients and flavor. If anything it tasted a bit top heavy with vinegar, yet still enjoyable. I washed it down with a Schramsberg Prosecco which was a perfect accompaniment. For an entree I choose the Grilled 6oz Petit Tender (medium rare) with asparagus and scalloped potatoes topped by a red wine and berry sauce. It was excellent, flavorful with the meat very tender. I was very pleased. It was an abundant portion so I was quite full after consuming it. My dining companion had the grilled meatloaf with ground filet mignon and pork sausage. It is baked and then grilled. I tried some and it is EPIC. It has to be one of the best meatloaf preparation I ever tasted. Bravo on this dish! We shared a bottle of Tempranillo to accompany it which was perfect. For dessert we shared a nice and refreshing mint chocolate chip ice cream which was generously comped as we were there for a special occasion. Thank you! I would definitely return and try other dishes, although the meatloaf is a must standout. Overall a very good experience.

Willie and Claire almost always have a couple IPAs, porters, or my fav, sours to suggest. I'm not sure if they have a little Jedi blood or what, but they have literally NEVER steered me wrong. Now, about the beers... it's hands down, the best selection and variations in Chico. Hell. Maybe in all of Nor Cal! Another great thing I've been using more of lately are the apps. They are on both Untapped and Digital Pour. Now before I even go, I can see what new stuff has just been tapped or find out how much is left of my obsession of the week (RIP Triple Haole Punch. Our time was much too brief). Next, is what they DONT offer. You want a burger? Go to Macdonald's. You want a Chocolate Martini? Well God help you... This place is for BEER drinkers and is owned by beer geniuses. Full disclosure--They do keep menus of all the restaurants in the Almond Orchard and encourage people to bring in and wash it down with, I don't know, maybe a beer? So you've got a Pho place a Chinese place, Mexican, and Round Table, etc. Plus, if you ask nicely, they keep bags of chips behind the bar. Today I ordered some flamingo swag off Amazon. It wasn't because of my fetish for long legged pink birds though. Well, maybe a little...Mostly though it was because every Friday they run a great promotion. Anybody wearing flamingo garb gets 10% off their bill as well as a flamingo bottle opener. How can that be anything short of awesome, and today I got to get a pic posted to their Instagram page of me holding the Keg Killer trophy for, you guessed, killing the last of a keg. They also have a pretty epic game room with all the staple bar games. I personally dig the super sized version of Jenga that they have, although if you haven't guessed by now, I'm usually there for the beer. Let's see, what am I forgetting? Beer...Digital Pour...beer...food...Jenga...Keg Killer...excellent selection and knowledge. Oh yeah! They also have a super nice outdoor patio area so you can take your beer for a walk. Look. This place started off trying to just be a good neighborhood taproom for people who like lots of different kinds of high end beers for a decent price, and somewhere along the way turned into a completely awesome one. I could probably keep rambling on about how great they are, but I'm suddenly feeling parched so I'm just going head down there now.
