Alla vodka pizza
Tricia B.

Franks is a safe bet for dinner. The quality of their food is pretty consistent, and it's hot and tasty. The Alla Vodka Pizza was very good, had good flavors, but just a touch too much vodka sauce. In transit it shifted a bit, but was still eaten up.

Antipasto salad
Sarah C.

It's okay the pizza is cheaper then two guys but it's blah, the antipasto salad is good. Wish I had something more to say good about this but I don't. I 1st time trying and definitely the last

Pepperoni and mushroom pizza, at Frank's Pizza in Torrington, CT.
Tom D.

I've ordered from Frank's a few times now. Pizza I had a few months back was decent (a pepperoni & mushroom), but I was underwhelmed with the grinder I recently ordered. It was a veal parmesan grinder -- meat was tough, and it lacked flavor. Might or might not give Frank's another try, I have a few other good options in Torrington for Italian.

Their bruschetta is trash totally raw, I'm angry af! Just look

We've been struggling to find a great restaurant in Torrington. Somewhere where the service and the…read morefood are excellent and well worth the price- Sasso's exceeded our expectation. We live around the area kept saying to ourselves throughout the night "why haven't we been here before? We've been missing out on such good food" There seems to be a lot of seating both inside and outside so that's a plus since we were able to get seated right away without a reservation on a Friday night. (they were already pretty busy) Our waitress was so friendly and super attentive even with all the tables she had. Now on to the food! Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully plated. You could tell that whoever is cooking genuinely cares about the food that is coming out of that kitchen. To start we ordered the Spinach Artichoke Dip w/ Garlic Parm Crostini and the Antipasto Salad. (Not pictured) Everything came out in great portions to share and even the crostinis were packed full of flavor which brought the dip up another notch. The salad was fresh, colorful and absolutely delicious. For our entree we both ordered the Steak Frites-cooked medium. Both of our steaks were cooked to perfection and the chimichurri was herby, savory and even had a little bite to it-it was phenomenal. To add to the mix the frites had parm & garlic to make them even tastier To finish, after a very long day- we knew that an affogato would just finish this meal off perfectly and we were right. It was delicious and the candied walnuts were such a nice touch to add for texture. (My husband now has a new favorite dessert) Needless to say we will absolutely be back, and more than likely bringing many others in tow to share an absolutely wonderful meal!

Blend between Neapolitan and New Haven style. Appetizers, salads, and wings literally the best array I've ever tried. The wings and the angry clams are our favorites and worth the drive from anywhere. Service is consistently good. Sometimes better than good. The vibe and feel is a great mix of feeling like you're "out" and having fun - and a really good place for a meal. Terrific. Not just for pizza. But the pizza is amazing too. Ps. Last night they had 2 specials that we loved. A spicy rigatoni bolognese and a vodka pie with pancetta and basil. Phenomenal. Both. Don't sleep on the specials menu.

Ah, I am utterly charmed! This cafe / eclectic tchotchke store is chock full of homemade goodness:…read morefrom jam, soap, and crocheted cozies in the store section, to sandwiches, salads, cupcakes, Lebanese baklava, and other baked goods in the cafe section. They bake everything in house, with specials on some days (e.g. Sweet Bun Sunday). The selection is vast, especially considering that everything is scratch made in-house. Aromas are enticing! We picked up an orange cranberry dream bar, studded with plenty of white chocolate chips, coconut, and dried cranberries, topped with orange cream cheese frosting and more dried cranberries. It was *enormous* and easily served as dessert for four. Also in our order: a streusel topped blueberry cake, as moist as could be and filled with fresh blueberries. It was also generously proportioned, large enough for at least two. We didn't try any salads, breakfast platters, or sandwiches on this visit, but they looked fantastic, based on what I saw on other customers' plates. I found that the super friendly owners are of Lebanese descent when I asked about the Lebanese baklava at checkout -- and evidently, they sometimes have Lebanese meat pies on offer! I cannot wait to come back to try every Lebanese food item they have, since my family is passionately fond of the cuisine (and really, everything else, too). I had no idea such riches could be found in Torrington! You can't throw a rock without hitting an Italian-American in this town -- not that I would ever throw a rock at an Italian-American :) -- but this is the first I've heard of a Lebanese-American contingent in these parts. I'm so glad Yelp led me here!
