It's been eight years since I last went to Ollie's, and I have to say they're grown up well! I went to Litchfield Restaurant Week, and where once I found their pizza with bad cheese, it's now a real pizza with flavor! It's a thick crust, and has a nice crisp to it. It was a potato pizza with purple potatoes, so aesthetically pleasing as well! The caprese salad is also very mature, and plates with a patient hand. The Greek donuts - they're small and have a nice coat of honey, and make it hard to stop at just one! There was also a Yelp offer for their buffalo fries - they're crispy potatoes with a great dipping sauce. I'm not a fan of buffalo, but I like these chips. The server was very friendly, and even walked my food to me instead of having me go to her. The store is very warm and cozy, and extremely clean. It was a very different experience... And now I want more potato pizza

Looking for a quick meal for the kids so got them a pizza, mozzarella sticks and a salad. Took a little longer than the 15 they said, mainly because of the mozzarella sticks. Food hit the spot.

We were in the area checking the local stores. I kept smelling something great and I finally decided it had to be Ollie's Pizza. We kept shopping, but finally we were starting to think about a light late lunch. I checked all of the local walking restaurants via YELP and believe it or not Ollie's was the highest on the close area. Good enough for us to go especially after thinking about it for an hour. We were obviously not unhappy. This was definitely better the average for the actual pizza. The.waitress was so concerned about her feeling that the chef over burnt the pizza she made the chef start again. When we received the bill she discounted our price as she felt we were forced to wait too long. We never complained, the waitress is just a natural better then average waitress. For the OWNER/Mgr: Although we never complained, we were well aware how long it took. I would have left, and probably would not have given you a positive review. I probably would have just ignored altogether. Nothing negative, just ignored. Be well aware that because of your waitress I left extremely happy. I hope you appreciate her or you will lose her.

Nice family pizza restaurant in town. The service is prompt but we were not rushed. My mom enjoyed the pizza and the pear Gorgonzola salad. Good place if you want to get a casual quick bite!

Calamari appetizer, at Ollie's Pizza in Litchfield, CT.

Stopped in today w/ the wife for a late lunch. We ordered a calamari appetizer and a large pizza (1/2 Margarita, 1/2 sausage). Calamari was bland, flavorless. Pizza that came out a while later was better -- crust was slightly dry, but it was edible. Cheese & toppings were good, my wife didn't like the sauce they use though. Overall all, it was still better than most Greek pizzas we've ever had, certainly better than any in Bristol, CT (the Land of the Greek Pizza). But honestly, can't see a reason to come back for mediocre food. Total bill was just over $33. Service was excellent, our waitress was friendly & attentive.

Ordered 3 pizza for $53 and added a $10 tip and when I got to my friends house with the pizza's one side had no cheese or mushrooms on it and the crust was burnt they couldn't eat the crust, the other two pizzas the crust was so thick it was like a dominos pizza. They always had nice thin crust pizza but not anymore. Didn't like their sauce either. What a disappointment. I called to let them know and the girl who answered the phone was mad at me for calling. Used to always go there but no more.

The pizza that got ordered felt lighter in the box. It was extremely thin. so thin,I thought if I held it up I would see through it.

My favorite pizza in Litchfield, and has a great gluten free crust. They have a great salad and appetizer menu as well.

Ali's pizza is fabulous. Some of the best pizza in Litchfield. We get takeout weekly and it's always hot. I highly recommend Ollies pizza.

I loved my visit here. I will definitely be back…read more I grew up in northern NJ in an era of family businesses. In fact, it was common in the 80's and 90's to see multiple generations working to provide their customers the best... I had that experience yesterday. Upon walking into the spotless dining room, I saw Nonna/Mom/Great Aunt in the first booth looking over the operation while the next generation was busy in the kitchen - and working in concert with the youngest family member who was working the floor. Fantastic. So friendly, so heartwarming. I also watched as "regulars" came in for their dinner. They ALL stopped by the kitchen entry to say hello to all employees and each employee greeted them by name. I hope to one day achieve this status. The food was good. I had a side salad, fried calamari, and a small pizza (half plain, half pepperoni and ricotta). Everything was fresh, tasty, and really well cooked. I was very happy to be a part of a dinner service there. I am looking forward to trying an entree - I have a craving for veal... maybe later this week. My only knock on my experience is that their sauce is very simple, and, in my opinion, lacks a little tang to stand up to the pizza cheese and toppings. But the crust was almost clinically perfect. My half pepperoni and ricotta side was slightly floppy in the middle - but I have to take responsibility for that as it was a tough order. Each half of my pizza cooks much differently. The plain cheese side was perfect. I can't wait to go back.

I have driven past this place for a year - DYING to try it. Today, my curiosity got the best of me…read moreand I went. 1 star earned for the amazing server working the phone and the dining room. She was outstanding (I wish I had gotten her name). She moved with purpose, had a smile, and even put up with some generational jokes and banter at the other table with appropriate humor, patience, and without eye rolls. She was great. 1 star earned for clearly being a family place serving the community. There were family holiday cards on the wall upon walking in - perhaps multiple generations of family working in the kitchen, and the place is clearly a source of pride. It is spotless. Recently remodeled in a very safe and neutral tone - but I'd literally eat food off the floor clean. All of the above makes me want to go back soon. And I will. .5 stars earned for BYOB. I do not partake, but when I did "BYOB," I would have loved and appreciated coming here with a bottle of Chianti and enjoyed. Really really great. Earning our final .5 stars, unfortunately, is the food. I happen to be in the business so I was concerned when I saw Restaurant Depot brand plastic wraps and retail store paper plates behind the counter. The soda cooler is also not from a Pepsi distributor as they do not want to deal with cans. So this leads me to they are also purchased retail and stocked. That's not a problem, but it lets me know the through-put does not warrant them getting from a food service distributor who has minimums on weekly orders. I ordered cautiously: a small garden salad (was BEAUTIFULLY plated) was $9!! And wet. Fried calamari (also came to my table with some much hope - it was GORGEOUS) had soggy rings, cold in the middle tentacles, and a tasteless marinara. All of the breading fell off of the wet seafood and I left it on the plate for the kitchen to see and hopefully learn from $13. And a small cheese pizza for $11 that was good. It was light a fluffy which was weird for me. But it was cooked well and was the runner-up highlight of the experience (service was the best). I saw very nice looking pasta dishes go out to tables, so I will Order one next time I go. I don't think the chefs were formally trained based on some of the technique stumbles today and I noticed the pastas that went out to other tables were not tossed in the sauces they were with. The ample accompaniments were plated on top. But I will reserve judgement until I try myself. All in all. It was ok. I'll continue to support the family run place happily as long as the service and effort that was clear today are still there.
