5-Star Review for Paradise Pizza This was my second time ordering from Paradise Pizza, and they continue to deliver excellent food and service. I got a variety of grinders this time, and every single one was outstanding--fresh ingredients, perfectly toasted rolls, and packed with flavor. The portions are seriously generous; these are some of the largest grinders around, easily enough for a full meal (or leftovers!). I especially loved the tuna melt--loaded with tuna, perfectly melted cheese, and just the right amount of seasoning. It hit the spot. Huge shoutout to the owner, Dave. What a gracious and friendly guy! He clearly takes pride in his business and makes you feel genuinely welcome. That personal touch makes a big difference. If you're in the Watertown area and craving quality pizza or grinders, Paradise Pizza is the move. Highly recommend--will definitely be ordering again soon read more

I really like this place for what it is. Great people. Prompt and fantastic service. Everything is what you hope it is from a corner NY style pizza joint. Tip. And a must. Paradise Pizza - First time here. Last two years delivery - Pizza Near Me - Oakville, Connecticut

Place is small. I went there with my 92 year old friend and we did not like what we saw. The menus looked dirty as the were probably not cleaned in a long time. There were flies buzzing around the place and the place smelled of garbage since it is logical to conclude that no one emptied the trash can. The female at the counter seemed annoyed for the fact that my friend and I could not decide on what to order. The place is very small. Personally I would not eat there as I have high standards of where I choose to spend my money and where I choose to eat food. It was a first time experience and last. I left a similar review on another site on this pizza place and the owner replied in a real rude and nasty way calling my truthful review a story. Just because other people might choose to go there and order food from your establishment does NOT mean I have to do the same. This was definitely not a PARADISE and good experience for myself and my friend. Some people will just eat anything that is put in front of them , I am not that type of person. This is the 2nd "Restaurant" that I have given a negative review out of the 102 places that I hade eating food from and left a very positive review. Thank you but no thank you. I want to say that the peace I got yesterday wasn't what I expected but let me explain! The pizza was the first time I tried a so-called Sisilian and it made it well and everything. But they use two does to make the pie and that isn't The ideal way. Paradise makes fantastic pizzas and sandwiches are terrific too I haven't tried some of their other stuff yet but everything I've had I loved. But I don't think I like Sicilian pizza I think I prefer New Haven style Neapolitan style. I don't even like New York style as much. I don't like too much cheese on my pizza read more

Pizza never showed up. After 2 hours of waiting I was told "it'll be there in 30 minutes." Wouldn't let me cancel cause I ordered it online but did tell the company they'd give me a 25% discount on an order I never received. I understand a busy night but the customer service and handling of this was awful. read more

First time having the pizza here it was great, I thought I had found my new go to place, decided to order some a second time, the driver delivered my food to the wrong town, pizza tasted bland, no flavor whatsoever, ordered a third time to try something different on the menu, ordered a Caesar salad & the lettuce tasted like it hadn't been washed, it looked like a whole onion was sliced up and thrown in my salad, I've never had a Caesar with onions in it before, highly do not recommend, this last time I ordered a bacon and pepperoni pizza with thick crust, crust was definitely not thick & the pizza once again was bland, I ate the cheese off of one slice and there was no sauce on the pizza whatsoever, called and complained and was given a sorry excuse for an apology, 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND wasting money here, ended up throwing out the pizza the last time, terrible experience will never be eating from here again read more

I'm going to start by saying the staff is amazing! As far as the food, most of it is amazing like their grinders and whatnot,,, BUT their Pizza, absolute Zero. Every single time I order from here I get home and grab an amazing smelling slice, EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF TOPPING folds and falls right off! Always left just eating dough, I would Never recommend their pizza. we used to get pizza there all the time. the quality has declined dramatically. When we ordered our last pizza we asked for crispy crust. When we got the pizza the crust was hardly cooked. it stuck to the paper in the box. We air fried it for 15 minutes before is just would not fall apart when you picked it up off the plate...Doubt we will get pizza there again. Too bad, it used to be one of the best. read more

They have great food but the service is really bad. Every single time I place an order for takeout they tell me a time to pick it up and it's always at least 20 to 25 minutes additional that I end up waiting at the counter for my order, and let me tell you in the winter it's pretty cold standing around by the counter. I commented on it a couple times, no apologies they just shrug and say we are really busy. I get that they are busy. If you are that busy then don't tell me 30 minutes to pick up when you really mean 50 minutes. Bottom line don't order from here unless you have lots of time to hang around. read more

Okay, so call this update me realizing what crow tastes like. Pretty good actually! After being a bit frustrated with the wait time and inconsistency at the 'other' go to Pizza place in Watertown, we decided to give Paradise another go after a 2 year sabbatical. Here's what I learned: 1. The food here is good, like really good. Since our return we've been back 4 times for everything from pizza to grinders to salads, and have been nothing less than ecstatic with the product, price and turnaround time. 2. Sometimes I get attached to the 'other' places not because they are better, but more because they are 'other'. 3. If you run the price/wait time/satisfaction algorithm 10 times, this place will finish on top 9 times. 4. I love pizza, so much. Bottom line, if you have the option to wait twice as long and pay 15% more for a product that is just as a good, and you take that option...you might understand the nature of insanity. Opt for here, and wallow in the sanity. read more

I LOVE Paradise! I can't believe there are no reviews for them yet! Oh my. The pizza here is wonderful, and they honor coupons every time we call. They also save your information with the number you call from, so you never have to repeat your address to them which is awesome. I always opt for the buffalo chicken sandwich which is PHENOMENAL. The bread is perfectly toasted, buffalo chicken bites perfect, and they allow me to change the types of cheese they use which is always a win in my book. They aren't to expensive either, which is awesome! For a group of us to eat it's always around $40, so you figure $10 give or take per person to eat a meal. Not to shabby in my book! read more

I don't actually like their pizza but they do have some things on the menu that are very good. The bruschetta bread is amazing and so is their steak and cheese. But I wouldn't recommend their chicken parm or chicken franchise. The service is friendly and quick though so that's a plus. read more

This place is classic. Good pizzas and sandwiches (Buffalo Chicken used to me the BOMB!) and they'll deliver. The quality of the service is neither here nor there, your experience can vary widely depending on who's working, but the food will kick you right in the tasters - in a good way. Its ok but it seems like it depends who is cooking. One early afternoon I bought a steak grinder...it was awesome...the same week bought the same thing at night time...was horrible. Not made tge same. Over salty and so dry I couldn't swallow. If the food was always the same as it was that one afternoon then it would be great and get 5 stars. While the food at Paradise is good, twice when I have ordered the penne a la vodka (delivery), I have found HAIR in my pasta, and I can promise you that it is not my own. I have never been to the actual restaurant, but clearly that is where the problem lies. As far as the pizza, I have yet to find hair in it, and it is delicious. Sometimes I crave the penne a la vodka, but then I remember that I have found hair in it, and go for something else. read more

Always been good go there often best grinders and they make a great Turkey club. Always friendly and great people work there. If you like clubs or wraps then give this place a try I doubt you will be disappointed. 5 stars all the way would give more if possible. Pizza is also good and reasonably priced. read more

Been a customer here for 5 years. Had the worst experience ever tonight. Called at 5pm for delivery and they said 45mins. I called after it'd been 1.5hrs and they said they were very busy and that it will be there any sec. This is something I understand having worked at a pizza place. I called back after 2hrs and told them not to worry about it anymore, I'm going somewhere else because 2hrs is too long. The teenager on the phone told me to stop yelling at her but I wasn't. I told her "I know it's not your fault" and to call the driver and tell him not to bother as I know they pay for their own gas. She said she didn't know what driver took it. They have 2 drivers...it's not hard to call both of them and ask who had me as a drop off. Possibly the worst customer service experience ever. Really pissed, both me and my wife always call for pickup/delivery and the phone girl is always very rude.. We always order back and forth between Tuesday and Wednesday nights every week.. The food is always amazing and we always get philly steak grinders and mozzarella sticks that are to die for!! But i wish i wouldnt have to be nervous to call the place due to the fact that the phone girl is usually very blunt and rude to us.. as if she woke up on the wrong side of the bed.. will be ordering from a different pizza restaurant now, i do thank the cooks and the owner Dave for the food and service though.... read more
