My car was parked in a parking space, and I wasn't near it when an unlicensed driver backed into it. Amica is my insurer, and I used them both times, and they could subrogate. The first accident, I had more updates on the progress and damage, and the car was completed in 13 days--the second time, even though there was less damage, it took almost as long. The most recent repair, there was a dispute about insurance payments (over $50 which we had already paid and insurance would not reimburse believing the shop had double-billed), and they refused to reasonably work with us and facilitate resolution with the insurance company. We gave up trying to get the $50 back and wrote a letter expressing our concerns to the shop and received no response. After we spent thousands of dollars there in the last year and have referred many people to the shop, they were willing to lose our business and future referrals over $50. They do good work but lack in customer service and communication.
