Been a while since I've been to Frankie's...like since COVID. They have enclosed the patio since I was there last, which has at least doubled their capacity, which is great! I ordered the fresh lemonade w cucumber and they aren't kidding, it's very fresh and refreshing! I ordered the brisket enchiladas and they are amazing! They have just a bit of kick to them but not overly spicy at all. Their fresh guacamole is so creamy and best of all (for me) no cilantro. So it has been a minute since this visit, life is getting a little busy, recently engaged and currently handling some minor health issues. That's enough of that. This Frankie's, I'm 90% sure anyhow, is unaffiliated with the Frankie's set of restaurants in Sachse/ Wylie. Those two would be my top pick for Mexican near me. This Frankie's is amazing too. The chips and salsa were delicious, and I loved the chicken tacos with beans I had here. I found the interior to be very standard festive Tex-Mex restaurant fare. My lunch date had the ceviche, which also came with mini tostadas with guac, and a side of chicken stuffed deep fried jalapeños. Those were a hit. I believe this is a new Frankie's Place now. The cheap margaritas are actually refreshing, not tart. We had tacos and margs in honor of Cinco de Mayo. I had yummy grilled shrimp tacos and my husband had brisket tacos; both delicious, served fast n hot. The salsa and chips are delivered upon being seated and updated throughout the seating. The waiter was fun and professional as he kept up with our table of two as well as all the others in our section. My only critique is the cheap cutlery. It's kinda the way you want Mexican restaurants to look. We were a party of four with a baby. Our party was promptly seated, even on a busy Saturday evening. The infant chair was promptly delivered with along with freshly made tortilla chips and hot/mild sauces. After a recommendation, we all had the Brisket enchiladas served with beans and rice.
