Huge selection of beers! They have a lot of open seating that's accommodating for big groups coming in and out. We all had a few rounds of draft beers ($8-10). All the beer is imported and have great pours. We did order fries ($4) and a pretzel to share ($7), both were crispy and hot. I'm sure if they had a happy hour it would do well against competitors in the white rock area

What a great find! We had just eaten at another German restaurant in DFW that everyone raves about. It was so bland that we didn't have high hopes for this one...but we were pleasantly surprised! Clean, cool vibe, good service and the food was fantastic! We had the homemade brat, cheese curds, schnitzel and a burger along with German potato salad, fries and a potato pancake for our sides. Everything was perfect! 10/10 I highly recommend, and will be coming back again as soon as we're in the area.

German and German-styled beers plus German-styled food. What's not to love about that? All that's missing is an oompah band and pretty girls in drindls! Arriving when it was quiet, I enjoyed a beer and then a meal. A fantastic pilsner poured in the proper glass. After that one was gone, I let the bartender talk me into dinner. I chose the "plated" schnitzel and she suggested that I have the mushroom gravy on the side. Wow, that was a great idea. I got to have bites of this wonderful pork plain and then have bites with the gravy. The small arugula salad on the side was ideal. A bit later, a second beer. So many to choose from on tap and in tins and in bottles but I chose a German import draft and it was perfection. From the world's oldest brewery, Weihenstephan Kristallweissbier. Just beautiful. Friendly folks and maybe they'll see this. Stephanie was a delight and Adam was fun to talk to. Sitting out front and watching the sunset while sipping a beer was most pleasant. As the place fills up, it does get quite loud. It's all smooth walls that reflect sound so some baffles would really help. This is such a friendly and fun joint. Clearly a local favorite and I can see why. [Review 593 of 2024 - 457 in Texas - 21624 overall]

Great place to celebrate the Day of German Unification (celebrating 34 years of reunification.) Great Food, Fantastic German Beers and excellent Service.

Nice menu and beer selection. Would have loved to have actually ordered. Waited at bar and two people who came in after me went to the register and were served, so I assumed that was the protocol. Got in line there. Finally made it through the line and was ignored to wait on bar customers. :/ no one greeted anyone on arrival so was hard to tell what the system there was. Waited about 15 minutes without being spoken to at all. Understandable if it was packed, but it was not. Ambiance was good. Clean. Lots of wood. Not crowded at all.

Great place in White Rock lake area. Great beer selection. Reasonable prices on beer, especially for the neighborhood. Our server was great (bigger guy, forget his name). I got the chicken pot pie soup to start. It was almost like eating a chicken pot pie, without the crust. Just a little thinner on consistency, hence calling it a soup. For my main, I got the D9 schnitzel plate. Way bigger portion than I was expecting. Good food overall, not the best, a bit saltier than I'd prefer, but it exceeded my expectations for the price point. Will come back.

Good variety of beer! Parking is easy. Vegan bratwurst and potato salad exceed my expectations!

    Apfelkuchen, don't sleep on it.

We dropped in on a late Saturday afternoon for a beer around 3pm, we wanted a bit of a snack since it was between lunch and dinner so my husband ordered a soft pretzel with the pub cheese and mustard and I ordered a dessert since I have a sweet tooth and their beer selection is always on point. His pretzel came out nice and hot, fresh out of the oven and the pub cheese that it comes with is so good....I always sneak a piece of his pretzel with cheese when he orders it. One of these days I'll get my own. Now on to my dessert, I got the Apfelkuchen, pronounced "apfel-kooken" for those not fluent in German like me. It is a completely lovely apple cake that is filled with apples, cinnamon and sweetness. This cake is served cold and although I love a warm dessert, this cake was perfectly chilled and all of the flavors still sing. I love how the top of the cake has apple slices that fan out, the cake itself is very moist and dense, served with a bourbon whipped cream that was a perfect companion to the warm spices present.

A nice selection of beers here plus a few wines for non-beer drinkers. The community Snickerdoodle ale was refreshing. Cold pour and worth a stop just for the varieties they offer. Decent looking food, but I didn't try any. It's located in a strip mall with plenty parking.

I asked for his recommendations, everything he recommended was super yummy.. I started with some deviled eggs! The splash of hot sauce complimented the eggs so well and the crunch of the bacon put a nice twist to it. I really enjoyed the filling it wasn't too sweet nor did it have a lot of extra ingredients. 10/10 for sure!! For my entree I went with the blackened snapper, I subbed mashed potatoes instead of the potato salad. I'm very particular about my potato salad I was too nervous to try it. After speaking with Paula I wish I would've tried it. No worries I'll come back just to try it. This snapper is good some of the best blackened snapper I've had. It was so moist and flaky the cream sauce made it even better. Chefs kiss for sure! 10/10 For dessert I had the flourless chocolate cake, if you're a chocolate lover this will be your go to. Although it says cake to me it had more of like a fudge texture. The raspberry sauce really helped out with cutting the sweetness of the chocolate. The restaurants fairly small, they have a huge selection of alcohol. I wasn't able to order a drink I was still sobering up from the night before. The bartender I didn't get her name she was super pleasant and helpful as well! I'll most definitely recommend lounge here

I genuinely wish I had read the reviews before spending my time and money here. Let me start by…read moresaying this clearly: the staff themselves were NOT the problem. In fact, they were the only good part of my experience. The bartender took great care of me, and the KJ was friendly, welcoming, and made the night enjoyable. They seem like genuinely good people who are stuck in an environment that doesn't let them shine the way they deserve. Unfortunately, everything changed the moment the owner walked in. The atmosphere in the room shifted instantly -- you could literally feel it. His presence carried the exact same energy you'd see in a bad episode of Bar Rescue: arrogant, dismissive, and unnecessarily hostile. After seeing how he treated his own staff, I felt compelled to speak up because these employees deserve so much better. When I calmly tried to tell him how his behavior toward them came across, I was immediately surrounded by staff who looked ready to escalate the situation. I don't blame them -- it's their workplace and they were defending their boss -- but the whole thing felt unnecessarily tense and uncomfortable. And here's the thing: I'm not the only one saying this. Look at the other reviews. There's a clear pattern, and it's not coming from customers having a "one-off" bad night. This place has potential because of the people working there, but the owner's attitude creates a toxic environment that affects everyone -- staff and customers alike. My hope is that the owner either changes the way he treats people or that people are aware of what they're walking into. Again, to the staff: you are not the issue. You were the highlight of the night. To future customers: read the reviews and decide for yourself -- but personally, I won't be returning.

She's got stories that start with "Back in then..." and end with police chases, lost sheep, and at least one exploding still. She'll flirt with your grandma, roast your ex in three sentences or less. There is also this Asian guy that looks like a confused troll with blonde hair. He lives up to the saying once you go Asian it's amasian. Can't forget the blonde girl that's going through the Dallas legacy transition of bottle service to real estate. Shes as good at serving as she is selling real estate. In the end, we all just try to tally up the wins and losses and try our best to rate a restaurant. This is my story. Usually when traveling, I try to get in a smattering of different genres of food. Mostly because I tire easy. Like when walking. I also try to get in some of the best things I like. Which are burgers. And wings. I'm also kind of a sucker for wildly long names of things. Which is exactly where good friend beer garden and burger house comes in. I really dug the look of the place. Open concept with the outside, outdoor seating, cool lighting ambiance. Just a really cool vibe and feel. Like a dorm room after your freshmen year. You know, once you get everything figured out and you aren't bunking with that weirdo with all the waifu pictures hanging up and FaceTimes with his cat. I will say though, the only weird drawback this place had was it was DARK on the inside. Never really had that problem before. Wouldn't have been an issue had I remembered my headlamp, but I left it back in the mines. And in all honesty, I don't care too much about the state of the building around me as long as the food hits hard. I was pumped about the wings as they seemed to have an assortment of flavors. I ordered four and thinking back, I can't remember why. Maybe that was the minimum, maybe you could only order in increments of four. Nobody really knows at this point and I'm way too far away to drive back and ask. So, four wings. You were able to split the sauces. Not like atoms, but like different flavors. This is food, not science. So, like a good CERN scientist, I requested split sauce. I inquired about the KFC flavoring and the server told me it was a rub and their version of secret blend of herbs and spices. I'm not a fan of rubs simply because if I'm going to eat wings, I want them saucy and messy. Like my relationships. BUT he said, and I quote "it's really good." That was all I needed to hear. Sign me up. After the rub I knew I needed a sauce. I settled with the Mild because it seemed like a good middle of the road. Man. Sometimes you do wings right and sometimes you do wings RIGHT. The KFC rub was 100% top tier rub. It wasn't a light rub which I've experienced before, it was a full on flavor soak. Make no mistake, you were going to experience that rub flavor. It was so good if I accidentally got some on my fingers, I'd just have nubs left. The Mild sauce was also top tier. Although I will say it seemed a few steps above a mild sauce. It was like a Low to Mid Hot sauce wearing a Mild sauce mask. Like the kind your mom and dad used to wear at those parties you weren't allowed to go to. Oh, and the wings had that chef's kiss crunch and that chiefs kiss juiciness. 10/10 want to experience these wings again in a Groundhog's Day setting. Now let's talk burger. I have found that I love smash burgers. I have not figured out yet how to make a delicious one myself, so I rely on the skill of others. Much like everything else in my life. Except dentistry. I do that myself. Castaway style. I ordered the Bourdain which included the patties, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and Kewpie mayo. Not sure what that last one is, but I like condiments on my burg, so sign me up. I'll let you in on a little secret, I used to make burgs for the Bee's back in my heyday. And a little deeper secret, I can't remember how we stacked them. That being said, when I make my personal burgers, everything is on top of the burger. I'll sometimes do a condiment or two on the bottom, but I have no real methodology. In my mind, you want that patty to hit those taste buds first. No middle man. Like the lawyer you kept having to talk to when trying to figure out which parent you wanted to live with. The Bourdain burger did the exact opposite with this burger. It had the lettuce and pickle as a buffer between meat and tongue. And honestly, I think that might have been what turned me off to the burger. I patties had good flavor, but it felt like it came in too late because I tasted toppings first. In my burger mind, this hurt more than it helped. Side Note: Fries were good. The spicy ranch would peel the paint off of any car, spot weld iron beams, and melt through your hand without protective gloves. It's hurting my mouth to even write this. PS Sorry for the sideways photos. I hate that, too. Chicken Wings: 12/10 Burger: 7/10 Spicy Ranch: Please Don't
