Owner, ambiance, environment all just greatly appreciated! I love how hidden it feels

I've honestly never left a bad review before for any business. The owner (manager?) yelled at me because when I was sitting in a booth I slid my heels off. Fair enough (maybe didn't need to yell at a customer), but I put my heels back on. Went to grab a beer (my 2nd of the night) and clearly he had said something to the bartender because they talked shit to me out of the blue and said they wouldn't serve me. Ok again, fair enough. Went outside to leave because clearly this isn't my kind of place, but then that same bartender came outside and lit up a joint and made a bunch of jokes about anal rape while I waited for my uber. It was insanely uncomfortable. I get cutting people off if they think they are drunk. I wasn't, but I can respect a business for making that call... but then to come outside and smoke weed while intentionally trying to make me feel uncomfortable and unsafe while I waited for a ride to leave. I'm honestly just at a loss for words on how the explain it. I'm only reviewing so another woman doesn't come to this place and feel as incredibly uncomfortable as I just did. read more

I'll go ahead and add to the stack of horrible reviews. We were recommended to go here by our waitress at dinner last night. She told us it was the owner, Kent's birthday and we would have a great time. We came in and immediately found him and wished him a happy birthday. He didn't like it. He tried to have my friend throw out her breast milk saying it was against the rules to carry the small cooler inside. I saw the bar tender ask him if she could serve me when I ordered a drink. The icing on the cake was us then getting kicked out as we were closing our tab and trying to leave anyway. I was physically chased out of the bar by the owner while I was in tears from sheer anger. I have been to many bars and never once been kicked out. Never been treated so poorly. I wish I would have read the reviews before going. It seems like you have to push through multiple visits of harassment to become a regular in order to me welcome there. read more

I genuinely wish I had read the reviews before spending my time and money here. Let me start by saying this clearly: the staff themselves were NOT the problem. In fact, they were the only good part of my experience. The bartender took great care of me, and the KJ was friendly, welcoming, and made the night enjoyable. They seem like genuinely good people who are stuck in an environment that doesn't let them shine the way they deserve. Unfortunately, everything changed the moment the owner walked in. The atmosphere in the room shifted instantly -- you could literally feel it. His presence carried the exact same energy you'd see in a bad episode of Bar Rescue: arrogant, dismissive, and unnecessarily hostile. After seeing how he treated his own staff, I felt compelled to speak up because these employees deserve so much better. When I calmly tried to tell him how his behavior toward them came across, I was immediately surrounded by staff who looked ready to escalate the situation. I don't blame them -- it's their workplace and they were defending their boss -- but the whole thing felt unnecessarily tense and uncomfortable. And here's the thing: I'm not the only one saying this. Look at the other reviews. There's a clear pattern, and it's not coming from customers having a "one-off" bad night. This place has potential because of the people working there, but the owner's attitude creates a toxic environment that affects everyone -- staff and customers alike. My hope is that the owner either changes the way he treats people or that people are aware of what they're walking into. Again, to the staff: you are not the issue. You were the highlight of the night. To future customers: read the reviews and decide for yourself -- but personally, I won't be returning. read more

Loved the vibe at this kareoke bar, very underwhelming from the outside. Great crowd and vibe inside, minus the owner. I always love to see owners in their businesses, taking pride and working alongside their staff, but in this circumstance, the owner should stay home. Uninviting, doesn't smile, talks trash about his patrons, and overall just a complete jerk! I am visiting from Idaho, chose to come to this bar strictly for kareoke and the clientele and would not recommend as the owner just stands in the corner complaining and speaking poorly about the patrons that are putting bread on your table. Staff is just ok, not a lot of personality there and also joins in on speaking poorly to and about the patrons in their bar. Mixed feelings about spending your time and money here as they do not care about hospitality or treating their guests kindly and respectfully. From what I understand the owner was previously in law enforcement and really has no social or personal skills to be running a bar! Should stay out of the scene as people go to have a good time here! read more

Have been coming here for years with friends for late night karaoke. Perfect neighborhood dive bar. Love the mix of the crowd, good selection of drinks, fun karaoke, and ease of service. Have thrown a few private parties and worked with the owner Kent who is easy to work with and always helpful. Always a good time at one nostalgia! read more

Went here for my bachelorette AS THE BRIDE and got turned down for service and karaoke. Bar owner approached us at the bar and said "why are you here"- when the bar was advertised to be open until 2:00 am. We then left the bar to get in our cars and the bar owner proceeded to follow us outside with another bartender to harass our group and proceed to ask "why we would ever expect to get service or do karaoke" - while we were there by 1:25 am. It was so very strange and felt like harassment. Unfortunately will never be returning - even though myself and my party has had several amazing experiences at One Nostalgia. But never again, especially being treated like trash. Doesn't even deserve a 1 star, but unfortunately that's the lowest I can give. read more

It's 2025 and racism is alive and well approved here, The vibe alone screamed it but was in for about 3 minutes max and decided to go for a smoke and realized I didn't have a lighter so asked a gentleman smoking for a lighter and little behold after here comes the owner saying I'm bothering customers and I just straight up told him I been in here for about 3 minutes if you don't like black people you could just say that and the shivers of his lips were timbering to just utter the most racist thing but i politely left and respected it but will be telling MY PEOPLE and community about the experience. I don't often go out of my way to leave negative reviews, but MAN, does this bar deserve the feedback. The owner yelled at me for no reason. And this was after giving this place another chance, as several months ago he screamed at a friend of mine with no provocation. There are no redeeming qualities of this dump, and I'm honestly not sure how it's still open--it shouldn't be. I was one of maybe 10 people there tonight. Not inviting at all, but heavy pours could make up for it. Given it a few tries because new to the area and it's local, but staff is super not friendly. I think you'd have to be a regular to get treated like a person there, but after feeling completely unwelcome, I do not want to associate with the bar enough to do that. All was wonderful until I was verbally assaulted - and nearly physically assaulted - by the DJ for dropping a microphone after a karaoke song. The verbal assault and physical aggression continued after I quickly and sincerely apologized. I have never before experienced such a virulently inappropriate response from bar staff. Never had such an uncomfortable experience at a bar. Bar owner made incredibly rude comments to my friend for sitting on the POOL TABLE. So rude that my husband chimed in and said "hey that was a little rude" and we got kicked out. Then followed my husband, friend and I out and said "where's the black guy" referring to my friend. My friend walked out willingly after being asked. Would never recommend this establishment to anyone!!!!! I've also never been kicked out of a bar in my entire life. That was a first. I don't know what everyone is talking about with these bad reviews! We have been coming to The One for years and it's always a blast. Whether we come in on a weekend night or during the week we get the same service. Andrea & Chase are so much fun and always friendly! The bar is very clean and I have NEVER witnessed any form of racism. That's ridiculous thing to say. Seems to me that the 1 star reviews are mostly from people acting rude and entitled. Please read. Dropped in for a cold drink on a hot day. I ordered a Vodka soda and the bartender asked, "Tito's Ok"? Good upsale I thought. "Sure". My buddy order a Vodka soda w/ a splash of cranberry - no fruit or straw - Well Vodka would be just fine...and a water back. The cocktails came in PLASTIC cups and his had the lime & straw....No Biggie, right? (But the plastic cups) She popped the top of a can and placed it in front of him. He asked what it was...she said it was water. When he explained that all he wanted was a cup of ice water, she pointed at the can and replied, "This is our policy" We shrugged our shoulders, he took a couple sips, we finished our cocktails and asked for the check. She had charged us $2.77 for a CAN of water that tasted non potable and called him "cheap cheap cheap" for ordering well vodka. When we paid the tab and Still left a tip, we were told not to come back!!!! Lol. That coming from a Barmaid that looked rode hard and put up wet. I have NEVER been more disgusted in an establishments treatment of its customers. Me and a group of my girlfriends visited this bar for my grandmothers birthday. From the minute we walked in the door we were treated absolutely appallingly. My bestfriend brought a bottle of water in due to her being sick and needing something to take her medicine with. The bartender began to cuss at us saying "Don't F***ing bring a bottle of water into a f***ing bar". Then after about twenty minutes when we could not stand the service any longer we proceeded to leave. As we walked out of the door, one of the staff members yelled through a microphone "Happy birthday you f***ing c*** " to my seventy year old grandmother. My friends and I have never been verbally harassed and mistreated like we were at "One nostalgia tavern".
