We were very pleasantly surprised. It's even better in my opinion. The people are very warm and friendly. The food is really delicious. I love that they bring not only good salsa with their fresh hot chips, but also a tomatillo sauce and a black bean dip. We've now eaten there several times. The taco meat has a nicely charred flavor. The tamales were very good. (I'm picky about my tamales. I've tried their ranchero sauce, chili con carne, and sour cream sauce. None of them disappoint. Their rice isn't dry like it is at many other Tex-Mex places. And their $5.00 all day frozen margaritas are worth it. We usually go for the lunch specials that run until 4:00. They don't have mole on the menu, yet. I'm looking forward to their future specials. In this day and age where it's hard to keep a restaurant open, I really hope this one survives. It's not fancy, but the food and service make it worth it. And I'm a picky person when it comes to spending money on food I don't make myself.

Don't be fooled by appearances. The service was great! The food was served hot and was very flavorful and reminiscent of our travels to Mexico. This isn't your typical Tex-mex. It's definitely more authentic Mexican cuisine. I ordered the chicken green tomatillo enchiladas. The tomatillo sauce was the best I've ever had in my 61 years. It's a 5 star in my book and definitely worth putting this on our regular rotation of restaurants.

I love that their service, regardless of day and time is very consistent. There dishes, salsas and chips have consistent quality and taste each visit. Drinks are great. I rarely have to ask for more drinks, salsa or chips. EVERYTHING I have tried on their menu is delicious. Recently went on a Friday for a 11 top bday party. Despite no reservations we were seated in under 15m I just love when restaurants stay consistent across their service and food quality.
