Great place to chat with a friend after a work out class and to grab a green juice. The ambiance is very nice in here but I would say the food is definitely overpriced and their sourdough is good but cut my lips so if you have sensitive skin beware. The sandwich was ok but I spent an hour here trying to eat it as it wasn't as yummy as I hoped. I got a sandwich with prosciutto ham and cheese but it was quite lackluster. My friend got an avo toast with a side of egg and a matcha latte. They didn't have non fat milk for people who are looking for that option. Pretty simple. They are definitely service oriented vs a cafe where you pick up from the counter. I don't know if I'd be back but their green juice was good! Just super overpriced. Our bill came to around $80-$90 for what we got. I guess we're in soho afterall!

Love this spot, right around the corner from work for me so it's so convenient to run in and grab a to go pastry, or pop in for a quick lunch! The service has been a little spotty, but my coworkers and I love it! Super easy salads, breakfast options, coffee, and croissants. I would definitely recommend checking it out on a weekday, to avoid crowds, the space can get a little tight!

{Overall: 4; Food: 4} Ambiance: 4; Service: 4 There aren't many cute spots in SoHo that open before 11 am on weekdays, so Francesco is a great option in a very central location close to many shops. When we arrived at 10:30 on a Wednesday, they were already serving breakfast and lunch. The ambiance is modern, clean, and pleasant. They have a pastry case with a variety of decadent-looking pastries. The breakfast and lunch menu is a mix of healthy plates and sandwiches. I had the Breakfast Plate, which was a great way to start the day. It came with eggs, avocado, spinach, sweet potatoes, and two slices of sourdough. The eggs were especially good, very salty and creamy. It was a great way to start the day. Service is friendly.

They have one of my favorite pain au chocolats in the neighborhood. The pastry is always spot-on. But the service really needs improvement. The hostess at the front was unfriendly, and overall service felt slow and inattentive. My cappuccino took about 15 minutes to arrive even though I was the first customer there. Great pastries, but the experience was disappointing this time.

My Daughter & I were in our local Apple store & decided to walk down Green street to Broom. Francesco struck me as a recent additional to the neighborhood. The atmosphere was depressed, slow, & the staff behind the counter disinterested & sluggish. But the waiter was great, and personable. We ordered a special danish that was fluffy, layered as it is supposed to be, super fresh & tasty. The egg breakfast looked odd: a flat thin egg omlet possibly of one egg, some not so fresh looking greens, and worst of all two uneven paper thin pieces of what appeared to be sourdough bread. The Bakery does sell its own bread. The bread slices seemed from two different cuts, not full slices, hopefully not recycled? My cappuchino was tepid, served in a ridiculously small cup. The interior is appealing. Go for pastries. They are the real thing.

I got a glass of natural red wine along with the breakfast plate - folded eggs, seasonal veggies, avocado, spinach and sourdough.

My wife got me a birthday cake from Salswee and I ate the whole thing. Not out of obligation. Not to be nice. Because it was genuinely that good. The cake was light in a way that most cakes are not. Fluffy texture, almost delicate, nothing dense or heavy about it. Inside there were mango pieces throughout and the top was finished with sliced fresh mango and a cream frosting that did not overpower anything. Every component worked together without any one element taking over. What got me most was how I felt after eating it. You know that heavy, bloated feeling you get after a slice of traditional birthday cake? That did not happen here. I finished the whole cake and felt completely fine. That alone says something about what they are working with. If you are in the area and you want something that actually delivers on flavor without wrecking you afterward, Salswee is absolutely worth trying. One of the best birthday cakes I have ever had and I did not even think I liked birthday cake.

I ordered the orange, mango and mushroom suisse. There was a bit of a wait for the orders but it wasn't too bad. The cakes were secure in mini boxes and everything was packed into a nice paper tote bag for take out. The desserts were very delicate upon first glance but also easy to break apart (so things got a bit messy). The orange dessert had a more mellow and lighter flavor compared to the mango one. It had a orange mandarin jam center covered with a vanilla cream layer. I didn't really care too much for the chocolate rice crisp bottom layer. The leaves were maybe peppermint though if it was mint then that would make the whole dish edible. The mango dessert was sweeter than the orange one. The mango jam filling was sweet and had a few pieces of mango that were a bit sour but didn't take away from the overall sweet mango flavor. The cream covering the jam must've also been mango flavored. I really liked the mushroom suisse! I reheated it in the microwave for a bit before eating it. I loved the crispy exterior as it contrasted well with the softness of the puff pastry middle. The mushroom filling was also tasty as it reminded me a bit of cream of mushroom soup. I'll be giving their other savory pastries a try during my next visit. FYI, if posting on socials for the complimentary pastry, do so before ordering.

I was initially lured in by the good Yelp reviews. I liked that I could do everything online, I had a particular vision for what I wanted my birthday cake to look like and they communicated with me via email that could make my vision come true. I had a birthday celebration at a restaurant, which I asked The Evercake to have delivered directly to the restaurant. The delivery was smooth and the restaurant had the cake before I even got there. The cake was very cute and did look like what I had pictured. But...what I majorly disliked was the actual taste of the cake and being misled about what the contents of the cake would be. I selected the strawberry shortcake option for my cake and what I got was not what I thought it would be. I think it's quite normal for a strawberry shortcake to have like...real strawberries in between the layers. My cake didn't really have that, and if it did it was hidden in all the strawberry jam that there instead. I was not a fan of the cake texture too and the cream outside of the cake. Overall I felt so sad that I was feeding this to my friends and I told them that they didn't have to finish it because I wasn't going to either. So embarrassing :( Would you believe that this flop of a cake was nearly $200? And that's after the 10% coupon. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because it wasn't completely bad, but the cake not tasting good was the biggest thing for me. I would have preferred it the other way around at least, like if the service was so bad but the cake tasted amazing, but unfortunately that was not the case for me. After digging through the reviews some more, I found that this happened to another customer as well. I wish I had seen their review before ordering a "strawberry" shortcake from here lol dang

The space is one large open cube I would call it, and when we were there, there was no line, but all of the seats were taken. I tried the pain au chocolat and the strawberry jasmine sticky bun croissant, and the latter was definitely my favorite!!!! It was sooooo good. Ordered some other items I wasn't too thrilled about. You'll get a decent bite from Supermoon Bakehouse. Would I come here again? NO. Should you try it out at least once? Sure, if you like croissants. I'll discuss why in further detail. My Disappointment From Bakehouse: If you use other cultures' flavors I would assume some appreciation and recognition at the very least. The ube is passable at best, while the pandan was off tasting. I can understand the inspiration the co-founders of Supermoon Bakehouse get for their flavors since they're both Australian, but the execution comes off very insincere. As if to only place an item on the menu just for the sake of shock value. It's very upsetting seeing a successful bakery business needlessly hop on a hot trend for the sole purposing of capitalizing on it. Completely removing the history of the flavors, showing complete lack of appreciation. Those trying southeast Asian flavors for their first time, they'll be satisfied because they don't know what they should expect. White people stealing things and making it their own again cause "it's the cool thing now" without acknowledging anything; a tale as old as time I guess. You can take the flavors, acknowledge it. And at the very least, make it taste good. Ube and pandan tasted like a powder from a bag.
