It's an Italian deli/café/restaurant but they do sell pizza and being a pizza lover. I was really looking forward to tasting a pizza that was given an 8.7 by someone who does not give high numbers often. The pizza was lackluster in flavor. The sauce did not taste like anything neither did the cheese or the dough speaking of the dough. It was tough and thick nothing artisanal about it or amazing as the other people have left reviews state, I'm sure the food at the restaurant of the café is amazing. This is strictly a pizza review for Sorrento's. I also tasted the chicken cutlets, which were just average.

Our food came out very quickly. For dinner I ordered the ricotta gnocchi with sausage. It was very creamy and tasty. The portion was pretty large! I specifically ordered pasta because they make all of their pasta in house and it really was very good. My husband ordered the pork shank and he also raved about it. The waiter did forget to put in his order, however. He made up for it by offering him a drink on the house. Thankfully there were still some appetizers for him to snack on while he waited for his meal. It was really not a big deal - we did not make a big stink about this and assured the waiter it was fine.
