I am extremely happy with my custom framing experience and result! I went into FrameStore with the intention of getting a quote and comparing options before moving forward, but Jason understood the assignment so perfectly that I went ahead with the custom framing with no hesitation. I had 2 personally signed items that I wanted to protect and display. 1 was an album cover that required a shadowbox, and 1 was a poster, and he knew exactly how best to handle both. Jason took one look and immediately started pulling mat and frame options. He included standard options for a lower cost, and premium options if I wanted to elevate the overall look and feel. Jason had a strong creative vision to include colors and textures to match and enhance both items, and it was exactly what I was looking for. He was honest about the costs for all of the options he presented. Frankly, the cost of custom framing is high, and I knew this going in. I also know that I could probably have spent less (perhaps $300-400 each) for more standard custom options. The premium options landed at about $600 each, but I wanted to have fun with this, and it was worth it for me as I will look at these every day and they will make me so happy! I thought I might have buyer's remorse afterwards, but I honestly didn't. I was excited to pick up the finished products. I've had them hanging for a couple of days now, and they bring a smile to my face every time I look at them. I was lucky to pop into the FrameStore when Jason, the (newer) owner/manager, was available to help me think through the best way to frame a one-of-a-kind cell from the Wizard of Oz book.
