Great and unique fram shop. I was recommended to go to Reclaimed Frame by a friend as he has been going there for a number of years. Not only is this a frame shop, but there are some vintage items for sale also - great prints and paintings, and a few other things. I needed a repair on a vintage framed needlepoint that I have for a gift, and not only did Glenn do the work while I waited (incredible!), but the service wa s complimentary. Blew my mind. This is like the way things probably were years ago when customer service and building relationships were number one on the list. Next time I need something framed, I will definitely go back. Was recommended Glen by a coworker who said he's both quality and affordable. I took seven 24x36 screenprints to him last summer and talked to him about what I wanted. He listened when I said I wanted everything archival. I know I wanted mats and he recommended how thick they should be. I showed him pictures of what I was going for with triple matting and he even taught me some terminology I wasn't familiar with. He gave me very affordable prices. My gf also gave him a 24x30 litho (not pictured here) and I also had him frame an original comic art piece which needed to be floated, I learned. I was able to get all of it back within a few weeks. Months later, I realized that the original comic art piece, since it was a floater, needed spacers so it wouldn't stick to the glass. As I looked closely, Glen had already done that w/o me even originally requesting it. He's a smart and nice guy, great at what he does, and is really affordable. My go-to framer from now on! read more

Would definitely recommend reclaimed frame! I have taken several artworks there and they always come out looking beautifully. The prices are amazing compared to nearby competitors and the owner is really receptive to customizing the frame depending on what the artwork/space needs. I had two posters I wanted over my bed that were frayed at the edges so he was able to trim them down a touch and use a lighter weight frame (in case there was an earthquake I didn't want a heavy frame to fall down while I'm sleeping haha). Glenn has a keen eye and will make suggestions for frames and matting, but he's never pushy. He's fast, friendly - and, if you're one of those weird people who worries about money and wants to get a "fair market price" so you don't go "broke" - whatever that means - then he's great for that, too. Personally I like overpaying for my frames, can't stand affable business owners, and prefer my frame jobs take so long I've literally forgotten about them and purchased new art by the time I get the call that they're ready... Glenn is a masterframer. That's how I've heard people refer to him, and I believe it. I have had experience with several framers, and Glenn is not only friendly, but he has a great eye and pride in his work. In my experience, I've come to learn that 1) It really is hard to come across a framer that actually cares about the thing being framed, and 2) while you can go to Aaron Bros or Michaels for framing, you really notice a difference, not only in the materials used but in the craftsmanship. He always has perfect corners and I can always trust in the quality in the finished product. On top of that, he also sells really rare, interesting antiques and all manner of curio from all over the world in his shop. PLUS, he makes his own framing from reclaimed wood from old barns and such (hence, "Reclaimed Frame")! You can tell he appreciates fine work and aesthetics. So if you want a unique, quality look from a guy who knows what the hell he's doing and actually takes care of your stuff, have this guy frame your stuff. read more
