Beautiful Work and Excellent Service -- A Local Business Worth Supporting…read more I recently had one of my oil paintings (about 24 x 16 inches) framed at Alan Jeffries Frame Store on Santa Monica Boulevard and 26th Street, and I couldn't be happier with the result. The staff was very helpful and patient, taking the time to guide me through the process and helping me choose the perfect wood frame to complement my artwork. The framing took a little over three weeks, which was slightly longer than I expected, but it was absolutely worth the wait. When I picked it up yesterday, the finished piece looked beautiful -- clearly crafted with care and attention to detail. The cost was a bit higher than I had hoped (a little over $300), but the quality of the materials and craftsmanship really shows. These days, everything seems to be more expensive, and in this case, you definitely get what you pay for: premium quality framing. I also want to mention how important it is to support small, local businesses like this one. Unlike big corporate framing chains, Alan Jeffries feels personal, thoughtful, and part of the community. I truly hope shops like this continue to thrive in our neighborhood. I highly recommend Alan Jeffries Frame Store to anyone looking for expert framing, personalized service, and a truly beautiful final product.

After…read morereading other reviews about it being expensive and the inconsistent price quotes with "50% off" and "additional manager discounts past 50%" I actually think they just make up quotes on the spot. I brought in a 24x36 piece that is already matted and framed. I simply wanted to change the frame to something skinny and plain (no ornate detail) and I was quoted $330. So you're telling me a 24x36 frame costs $660+?? Scam. I should have known when the associate immediately mentioned multiple times without me asking any questions that they use the "top top top of line materials." Save your money and go elsewhere.

On to today, We were greeted with a friendly hello by team members at the cashier area. As we were lookin through the novelty area, we were asked was there anything that we needed, we smiled and said thank you, no. Two minutes later, there were associates hovering around us as if we were going to scurry away with the miniature animals and or the pocket sized note pads. It was totally obvious that they were suspicious of us, and that made me feel completely uncomfortable. Because there are several items listed on my list to purchase for a few privately taught students, I felt as though my money would be better spent elsewhere. There is an atmosphere of "unwanted" in this specific location, I felt it before but ignored it. This time I cannot, therefore I will not return nor recommend it to friends, family or social media.
