Super nice and helpful folks! Great experience. I needed to get a canvas strung with wire for hanging. Not only did they get it done for me in a few moments, they wouldn't take payment. I'll definitely be back for custom frames in the future. read more

I have framed a number of items with LA Art Exchange. The folks have an eye for the proper framing and matting. And, they have give me dates when the frames will arrive and painting will be ready, and they are always accurate and perfect. Today I stopped in to simply have a wire added to the back of a new gallery piece I purchased. There were equally attentive , and serviced me while I waited ! If you are looking at this review , then you should really use their services. Free parking in back!! read more

I have been framing my art for a very long time at various places but once I went to LA Art Exchange years ago when they were on Broadway , I never went anywhere else. The staff is extremely patient, as I am quite a perfectionist. There are many many choices at various price points. And the final product is perfectly executed. Prices are reasonable given the high quality of the work! Truly a pleasure. Linda read more

Extraordinary care taken with vintage prints- excellent help in choosing frames! Have used for years and never disappointed

I've been a huge booster of the skilled staff at LA Art Exchange since 1994 and already wrote a 5 star review in 2013. But I wanted to add to that review after losing my home and all my cherished art in the Palisades Fires. Sarah and Olivia showed patience, support--and always great taste--in helping me recreate many images based on photos of the art. Does my newly framed art have resale value, No! But I don't care about that at all relative to my mental health boost seeing my favorite images adorn my walls again. Shout out, too, to the skilled framers we never see. As always, their work is first rate. They have earned their clients' loyalty. read more

I brought in a poster and they did a beautiful job floating m. They did an amazing job and I couldn't be happier!!

I'm in the process of moving so I wanted a refresh on my framed posters and paintings. Athena and the team at LA Art Exchange surprised me because, unlike the typical neighborhood frame shop, this place does museum-quality work. Seriously, I was blown away by how good my pieces look. They did an amazing floating frame on a painting. My posters are in wooden frames and they could now easily hang in any gallery. Fortunately, they'll be hanging in my new home soon and I can't wait. In transparency, craftsmanship like this doesn't come cheap. The results are worth it, though. These pieces will stay with me for the rest of my life. Although I no longer live in LA, I'll drive for hours to bring more pieces here for proper framing. read more

I recently had a large photograph framed at L.A. Art Exchange. My experience with them was excellent from the framing selection to the final product. Olivia helped me and she was wonderful. I will definitely return whenever I have framing needs. A quality job was done. read more

Had a lovely experience with La art exchange! They helped me design 2 very nice custom frames.

I had two pieces I entrusted to LA Art Exchange for a significant amount of money. The first was a poster that they framed in a conventional manner; good work, no complaints. The second was a poster that I've had for nearly 40 years that had been museum-mounted. I was talked into a mounting that has been less than successful, warping twice in hot weather and never returning to a completely flat shape, something I was not warned about. My major complaint is that I twice emailed LA Art Exchange (with photos) about this issue and received no response to either email -- a major fail and the reason that I would not recommend them. read more

I live in a small place, so I do not have many framing projects, but I have been using LAAE when needed for over 20 years, way back when they were next to Helen's Cycles. Sarah, Jane, Adam and the whole crew over there are ALL great, but I had a very important and very special print that I was seeking extra consultation on and they recommended Adam for rock 'n' roll memorabilia/framing (although any one of them would've been excellent). Bottom line, they did a beautiful job, as always, and delivered the piece exactly when promised to full satisfaction. I definitely recommend these people for sure. read more

Great people with good opinions about framing. I highly recommend this place. Sarah was very helpful

I'm not sure how we found this place. We've been using them for the last two years and everything has gone pretty smoothly. On the one occasion that a mistake was made they fixed it right away and with no charge to us. Good job! We plan to stick with this company. read more

L.A. Art Exchange has been doing all my framing for almost twenty years. I am a professional artist with demanding standards, and their work is always top-notch. When a problem arises or when I have a difficult deadline to meet, they step up to ensure my art is framed to perfection and delivered on time. And the owner and staff are a sincere pleasure to work with. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this fantastic business before now. Framing isn't just adding wood or metal around your art, it is its own art form. The framers here have such a great eye - they are able to make creative suggestions that make your art better and more lovely to look at. We've probably framed two dozen drawings and photographs here, and they're all done beautifully and with frames (and uv plexi) that truly protect and enhance the work. I wouldn't go anywhere else and I highly recommend this excellent business! read more

LA ART EXCHANGE did an incredible job on 4 paintings. Some of the planning had to be done via Zoom due to the virus, but Adam was prepared and had choices and the work is incredibly well done. Paintings too large for me or my car. LA Art Exchange also delivered them back without charge. Great service and talented people. Thank you read more

These guys are fantastic. I have a beautiful Robert Rauschenberg print that was damaged. They had the resources to fix it and reframe brilliantly. They are experts and prices competitive. read more

This is a framing store frequented by Santa Monica galleries and Hollywood elite. It is on the pricier side, but you're paying for quality. Would I take a $10 poster to get framed here? No. Would I trust anyone else to frame my precious art work or anything of value? Never. I've gotten priceless family art work (for sentimental reasons) framed here with UV-protected glass so t hat I can pass it on. I also got a Venetian mask framed here; my God they do wonders. They do fabulous lucite casing work. You can take your baseballs in, for example. The owners - Stu and Jayne - know their stuff. They will elevate the quality of your art. I promise. Oh, and if you are a member of KCRW Fringe Benefits program, I believe you get 10% off the total price. :) read more

I love this place. My family has been bringing our art to be framed for years. Adam has a great eye and always has amazing input. Prices are right, frame selection is vast and they carry great art as well. read more

Does a good job but tries to upsell the hell outta you and not very personable. Kind of has a d-bag, car salesman vibe. I prefer Allan Jeffries up the street. It's more sincere and down to earth AND they also do a great job. For the same quality, personality wins with me every time. read more

Parking : meter. Convenient. Plentiful. Staff: very helpful. Not rushed or impatient. She took time to work with my price range. And offered multiple framing options. Encouraged me to try different frames and gave suggestions. But not pushy or unapproachable. I do Love when I find nice, helpful staff. Pricing : mine was a bit expensive. What can I say. I have nice taste. That said. There were multiple options. And I used a groupon. So not gonna complain on this one! Product : the frames themselves ---large variety and high quality. Thanks guys!! read more

Really shocked to find out they pulled a bait and switch on the frame. Bought a Groupon and I went in to pick everything out for two pictures to be framed. Picked out a wood frame and told them I was traveling cross country. They wrapped up the two framed pictures together taped in bubble wrap. I appreciated that until I opened them (after traveling) to find that they switched a plastic frame for the wood one I chose. read more

I had two custom frames made here -- claimed I was getting a discount but with a bit of checking later (after I'd commissioned the job) I realized they were still more expensive than others. Framing was at best adequate - I was asking for two pages from a notebook to be framed, with a large matte -- but they messed up, I asked for it to be centered and one of them was positioned lower in the frame so has always looked off. Too weeks to get it done as well, so couldn't be bothered to deal with them. Agree with the other reviewer aboiut the upsell, try and make it feel like you;re somewhere special but they're seriously average. Have since found Sherman Gallery on Venice, much better, faster, less conceited and way way more reasonable. Would never ever return. read more

Had LA Art exchange frame 40 X 60 and a 16 x 20 prints for us on two separate occasions. Both times our prints were handled with the delicate care that they required. LA Art exchange also suggested we get the museum glass that is anti glare and we are SO happy with it. They were also cool enough to honor a great discount for us that we had got in the mail but had forgotten at home too! Very knowledgable staff, very friendly, great suggestions. They even threw in some cleaner on our second purchase! Love these guys! read more

We have done all of our framing here for over 15 years and have always been thrilled with the results. Every time I look at the artwork on our walls I am so pleased. They have a gorgeous array of frames from inexpensive to handmade with gold leafing. They can often custom order frames in larger sizes, so what you see on the walls is only the beginning. Recently, we framed a beautiful photographic print in one of the handmade gold leaf frames. The sample frame they had on the wall was too thin, so they called the manufacturer and not only ordered it wider, but also matched a different gold tone from another frame we liked better! Another time, when we framed some prints and were not happy with the results, they worked with us to reframe them at a reduced price to make up for the additional cost. The owner is especially helpful if he's there. read more

Your framing is on time and they will always call you when your framing is ready. They are a framing store that really cares about your possessions. Stunning Frames. Michael is a joy to work with and oh so cute to boot.

They did an excellent job mounting and framing some tile pieces I had. I would have liked a larger selection of frames to choose from, but our extremely picky designer said they were the only people I could trust with the job, and I trust his judgement. It took me a long time to decide what I wanted, and they were very patient. read more

Stu is absolutely amazing!!!! His suggestions, his knowledge, his customer service, his care, and specially his "can do" attitude made my work so much easier. I had to go there for fine art framing many times for the company I used to work for, all their work was wonderfully done, and I appreciate a lot this business. I put them on the data base for the company I was working before because I believe they are simply a way better than any other framing work they had in the previous years. I will go back there this week to frame a personal art for myself and I am sure that it will turn to be as gorgeous as the ones I took before. read more
