I can't believe I'm going to be the first to review this outstanding framing center and art gallery…read moreon Main Street in Hackensack. This location has been here forever, I have been coming here for at least 15 years personally. Virginia, the owner, always comes in with excellent, fair prices. When shopping for a frame that complements your artwork selecting the right frame is in an art in itself. Virginia has always had an excellent eye for picking out a few that work so you can make a final selection. If you have experience framing large paintings and prints you're probably familiar with the quality and price variance in this niche market. Take my word I have shopped around several times and I always wind up right back here where I started at Galaxy. I just dropped off a very large, fully crew signed Star Trek the Next-Generation print as can be seen in the photographs I posted. The previous owner had it framed in a black Plastic, modern frame that had warped over the last 10 years and cracked in a few places. I will post a photo of my new, beautiful gold and black frame that is being installed at the end of the week once the job is completed for a before and after comparison. When I get home I will post a couple of the Oil paintings I have had framed here in the past. Take a look at how they complement the art.

The woman who helped me convinced me that she would do it and I would love it. I agreed, and was sorry as soon as I left the place. I had myself believing I was going to be sorry, and that I'd need to have my shirts redone. She was right. When I picked them up the next day, the shirts looked fantastic. I'm very happy with the results. This was not the first time I went there, and it will not be the last. My photo is not the best. I think you need to zoom in to really appreciate the colors on the logo. But I tell you, I am very pleased with the results.

I went to this booth in my local mall to get a simple embroidery done. I showed them my design…read morewhich was some initials and a leaf pattern surrounding them and they told me they wouldn't be able to do the leaves which is totally fine but the way I was spoken to and treated was horrendous. There were two employees working- I spoke to the woman. After she told me she wouldn't be able to do the leaves, I asked if she had any design samples I could look at this way I can find a design I like that they would be able to complete for me. She replied with "samples of letters?" in a way that made me feel like I was stupid for asking such a question- kind of in a wise as* way. After that interaction, I decided to leave. They clearly didn't want to work with me, she was rude to me, and had no customer service skills. Also, their display items show embroidered hearts and other symbols so I truly believe my design choice could've been done but they just didn't want my money or business.

I show up to the place on Monday afternoon and there is a sign on the door with special hours pertaining to Friday, January 19th. Since Monday was January 22nd, I decided to call. The answering machine picked up after what felt like 100 rings and it said: for faster service contact us through What's App and gave the phone #. I messaged them. No response. I call the What's App #. No response. So I call again today. Still no answer but the machine says to look for their 'daily hours' on their Instagram page. I can't find the hours but I sent them a message on that site and for a brief moment, the hours appear and it states they should have been open all the times I was calling and messaging and showing up at their door. Well after being extremely frustrated, I decided to move on and shop elsewhere. Of course, as I am pulling up to another store, they finally reached out and said they will be open at 12pm. Too late. I shouldn't have to chase you down to give you business. And this would have been a very expensive order! Do you just open up random hours or when you feel like it? I'm not sure how you are going to stay in business if people can't just show up to shop. I was so disgusted and disappointed with the effort I had to put in just to try to buy things. This is a good store, but it seems like there's a problem with management. This is my go to store…read morewhen I need things from my home and I rarely don't find what I need but like many stores in the area they have big problems when it comes to being stocked for major weather events. I came to the store like many people looking to get ice melt and found a sign on the door that they would not have ice melt until 12 PM. So I went to a local Duncan's and bought some food and sat in the parking lot waiting to see a truck pull up and be prepared to get a reasonable amount and I sat there for nearly an hour and a half and then so people coming and going just like me that saw the sign and figured they would come back. Well after four or five minutes after the 12 o'clock mark, I noticed people walking to their cars from behind the store with bags of ice melt so I walked into the store and I spoke to a fella that was working in the paint department and he spoke to me and another fella and stated that well we really don't know if it's gonna come in at 12 o'clock or not. It might come in sooner. I might come in later and we were just OK with that because it was 12 o'clock at that time anyway so I hung around the store buying other products doing my policy of by in the smallest stores rather than going to the big stores like Lowe's and Home Depot. While I was hanging around talking to other customers and buying products, I noticed the fella at the paint department was taking orders for a person that just walked in the store just walked up and asked if you can get a couple bags of ice melt, and I was just really disappointed that that person saw me there knew what I was therefore looked at me talk to me and everything never told me that a truck had pulled up with the ice melt and then was apprehensive about taking an order from me because I had to get a paid slip from him to go to the front counter to get my salt. No, I'm not pitching a bitch or making a complaint but it's astounding to me that someone that works at the store would treat me in that manner and not just say hey listen just wanted to let you know that the ice melt came in and go grab a few bags and you can come in and pay for it. That is the mom and Pop feeling of a store and this guy ruined that because he should've had the courtesy of letting me know. Then when I get out in a lot as I'm going out and putting my ice melt in my truck, I noticed another van pull up with a skid of ice melt so it made me feel that they were either selling it out the back to certain people that they knew or they were just being flat out secretive about the shipment coming in either way it's not customer friendly attitude. I'm 69 years old and I've been going to that store since I was about 17 or 18 years old, not buying every single thing I ever needed there but knowing for well that when I needed something that place had it the day before I went in there and bought O-rings that nobody else would have because I knew you could go to Palmer Bros and they would have what I needed so I think people got on the stick and they got order more than they need of a product, especially in the middle of a season when you know there's gonna be other weather event events that people are gonna need the product

Ruth with Cohen Printing is such a gem and I was so lucky to have randomly found her business. She…read moreis such a kind, genuine, caring, and hard working businesswoman. I am planning a wedding and had a faux pas with my invitations from another vendor. I needed printing immediately on my inner envelopes, but had a difficult paper material and color to print on. In a tizzy, I called SO many other printing companies, to which everyone said, "No, we can't help you," for one reason or another (they don't help with invites they didn't do...or can't print on that envelope, etc.). When I called Ruth, she was on her way out for a vacation. She said she didn't think she could print on my envelopes, but "come in and I'll give it a try - you seem stressed about this." I came in, she gave it her best, although we weren't actually able to print. This upcoming week, it is time to send out my 2nd round of invitations, so I reached back out to Ruth to help printing on my outer envelope. I only had just enough envelopes. She told me to come in and she would help. She took so much care to ensure she didn't create any errors with the envelopes I had and she did such a FANTASTIC job. I can't express my gratitude for her efforts throughout this process. Otherwise, her store is so cute and she has very nice cards, cardstock, and little nicknacks for gifts. I certainly would recommend Ruth for any invitation needs (including full set wedding invitations, and otherwise). She is just so accommodating and willing to help with her services. Thank you Ruth! You took some of my stress out of wedding preparation!
