The guy that helped me Michael was really professional and also had a nice sense of hummor witch made my purchase more interesting. Whenever I travel I like to buy paintings as my souvenirs to help remember me remember the great places I have seen. Upon returning home, the next step is to find a frame that really compliments the paintings. I found frame 2000 Venice on yelp and decided to give them a try this round. Super pumped I found them! Had 4 paintings stretched and framed. Each frame was hand selected with much help from Will. We first found Frame 2000 via Groupon, but it isn't the savings that will make us go back. It was the outstanding service provided by the staff that makes it superior to other, larger chains. We brought two items to be framed and Mike (?) demonstrated extreme patience as we debated various frame choices and framing alternatives. Ultimately, it was his vision and his suggestions that we went with, and we couldn't be happier! Other framing concerns may have more outlets that you consider more conveniently located, but this little family framing shop in the corner of a strip mall in Venice is definitely worth the visit! read more

The owner and I discussed in great detail different framing/mating options and he gave his educated input, but not in an over-bearing "I know everything" kind of way...just great opinions and options to what are available. He even brought out multiple examples he had in store to compare. The pricing was very reasonable and they actually had my piece back to me sooner than quoted. A Groupon deal brought me in here about a year ago and have been back several times since. Theres a difference between "okay" custom framing and "quality" custom framing - when you have an original piece of art that was expensive to acquire, you want it to look good on your wall, in a frame presentation that complements and looks as good as the art. These guys get it - the shop may appear cramped and a bit chaotic, but they have a eye for detail and customer service. A large piece I had framed recently ended up needing a repair to one of the corners because the glue had separated - they not only fixed it, they reframed the piece from scratch, building it even stronger and sturdier. Quality custom framing isn't cheap, but they're always running deals and will work with you on pricing. Thumbs up. read more

This is a great Frame shop. They are competitively priced, they pay great attention to detail and they turned around a complex framing job quickly. Three of the pieces I brought in needed to be floated and not touch the glass and that kind of thing. And they framed 2 more pieces from stock frames that were $20 each. Came in to get a print framed, quoted for $160. Called around to a few other places and was getting quotes in the same ballpark. I saw there is a sign on the side of the road outside the shop advertising "50% off custom framing" and inquired about this. He said he cannot honor that because the price he quoted me includes the 50% off. So I guess it's just supposed to be irony that several other reputable framing shops nearby quoted me around the same price? I went to third grade, I know basic math and somethin ain't adding up here. Long story short, if his quote includes the 50% off like he says, then he's inflating his "normal price" to appear half off and like you're getting a deal. Marketing at its finest folks. So after he said he cannot honor the advertised 50% off I inquired about the yelp deal $100 for $50. Surprise surprise, he said he "cannot do that with the 50% off deal," (which as you now know is a false "deal" to get people in the door and us yelpers to think we can get $100 for $50 which he doesn't honor either, shocker). Shady business practice. I left. Here's an idea: if you refuse to honor what you're advertising, don't advertise it. You can have the greatest quality but I simply won't be giving my business to people that are manipulative like this. Sorry Charlie. And in response to Sam below: you addressed a whole bunch of stuff, none of which had anything to do with our interaction. Look, I know what you're doing. And I'm calling you out on it. I'm delighted that you have wonderful quality, but that has zero to do with your false marketing practices to bait and hook customers into walking in and then not honoring the price you advertise on a sign literally 20 feet away. This is what constitutes you as a used car salesman. The cherry on top: accusing your customers of being cheap when they inquire about your advertisement. And then pulling the guilt trip card to save face saying you need to make money because you're a small family business. But hey, keep telling yourself whatever story you want that makes you sleep better at night, bud. read more

Still a happy customer after all these years so I thought I'd share again! I'm always warmly greeted by both Sam (the owner) and Will (long-time employee) and it's a pleasure doing business with them. I have never dealt with any other employees there so this review is for Sam & Will. I recently brought in what I thought would be a challenge. I needed a mirror in a parallelogram frame (not 90 degree corners). Will took care of all of it; all I did was choose the moulding! He provided the mirrored glass and frame and everything turned out just right. I am happy to trust my artwork to them to be done artistically, correctly, and on time. I've never picked something up and had it be wrong or look bad; but I know that if I did (or if any point in the future something went wrong), they would repair it to my satisfaction. Awesome! The guys were so incredibly friendly and kind. They were fast, efficient and worked with me on the price. I needed a canvas piece stretched and they were able to do it quickly. They also helped me load it in the car (it was a huge piece) and they have a lot of artwork in there. I'll definitely go back to scope the artwork a little closer. read more
