I've been using Frame 2000 exclusively for almost 9 years and will continue to do so. Sam Moavan and his framer have consistently provided excellent service and the framing products have always met my expectations for workmanship and overall quality of the mats and frames. They have not always been the cheapest, but I felt that their prices were fair and in line with many of the price quotes I've received from other framers. Sometimes I do ask for bids for frames, particularly the jobs that require several frames and matts and Sam's prices have been very competitive. I've been very satisfied with the craftsmanship, their suggestions for color of the frame and matts, price and timeliness of completion. I've known Sam for a few years now. He is our preferred framer at work, mostly posters and marketing stuff. I did have him do personal items for me. I have been impressed time and time again! He helped me pick out the perfect wood for a large custom framing job. I've recommended him to all my friends and family. Will is an artist. I have used him on two projects in the last month and his work has been really excellent. First project was a large movie poster - beautifully framed under museum glass. Second project was to mount a 75 year old painting on a mat of a hiking map (the painting is of a camping leanto at a location on the map). Will retouched missing parts of the painting (hey, he's an artist!), then in the matting he actually wrapped the map into the side of the frame, yielding a wonderful three dimensional effect. Will's work at Frame 2000 is not cheap, but if you really care about your work, and you want a bit of creativity, this is the place to come ! read more

Matting and framing are expensive wherever you go. At Frame 2000 prices are fuzzy with a lot of exceptions to advertised prices. I can't complain about the quality of work, which seemed excellent. While we were there to get some art work framed, my wife noticed a framed poster of old Venice,which she took a liking to and bought for $200.00. We were told it was the last one, but when we went to pick up our framed works, she noticed another one on the wall with the exact same frame. Which leads be to believe there are about 10 "last ones" in the back somewhere that they take out when one is sold. The only difference was the price had gone up to $300.00. So, like I said, prices are fuzzy. My advise, make your best deal up front, They won't take coupons after you've made your order and given them a down payment. Oh BTW, the review will say we purchased a Yelp Deal, which we did, but it was not honored after the fact, and we had to get Yelp to refund it. So, like I said, make your best deal up front. I was quoted a price on the phone, and went I went in to pay for the item - they would not honor the yelp deal. They raised the price and claimed that they took 50% already off the item. It's a classic business scheme: quote customers double the price of and item and take 50% off when it's convenient. The original price they quote before the 50% discount is absolutely ridiculous, and no other quality framer in the area has the same methods. The store is also a complete mess. Allan Jeffries Framing in Santa Monica offers a yelp deal that they DO honor after quoting a price!! read more

Even though I was told to pick up on that day! After questioning him, he said "I'm the owner of this shop, I can do what I want... This place is great! I came in with an idea of how I wanted the piece I had framed, and they pulled a few frames they thought would work best for me. I made my decision on what I wanted and then mentioned the online yelp deal. I hadn't purchased it yet so they just honored the deal at the register which made it super easy. Very affordable custom framing overall while still providing great quality. They promised they would have it done for me in about 10 days but they called me to say it was ready after just a few days. The guys there were very nice and knowledgeable and as a bonus they have a reserved Frame 2000 parking spot out front making the whole process fast and easy! read more
