Freshly grilled, warm out of the package. You can put it in the fridge to preserve its freshness if you can't finish it in 2-3 days. I always request several smaller bags instead of buying a pound because I don't want to store it in the fridge. They cut it into strips upon request. The girls are super nice and helpful. We stopped by JJ Bakery to buy some bread for Chinese New Year and decided to try Fragrant Jerky for the first time. We bought 1/4 to try in the car and left. drove two blocks down the street and make a u-turn back to the shop and got 6 pounds for the family. The jerky are amazingly good and fresh. This place has the worst service. The girl who works at this store doesn't greet people. She just stands there waiting for you to order and tells the total. No "thank you" or anything when taking payment. No niceties at all. No manners at all. This isn't an isolated incident either... This place used to be good. But not anymore. Bring back the og lady that used to work here since grand opening please!!! It's been a while since They hired this new young lady, rude af. No hi no thank you no nothing. Plus she either have hearing problems or she speaks very little English. Communicating with her is a pain in the rear. Every single time. I prefer the way their machine cuts, thin long strips, perfect snack size. This lady, She always cuts jerky by hand, which is very chucky. I always ask her to use the machine to cut but this time she said the machine is being washed. At 4pm in the afternoon, still an hour away from store closes? Sometimes I come to this plaza for jj bakery and it's boba time, and this place always close at least 10-15min early. As of 11/2/2020 I try not to go here often cuz it's pricey; but hard to resist. There were only two selections when I arrived at noon today. I bought both kinds. Jerkies are fresh and nicely cut and packed. The employees are nice and efficient. As I was walking in, there was an employee wiping down the doors and handle. There's plexiglass between the customer and cash register. Sanitizer and napkins (such a bonus) are provided. Another Yelper mentioned a 'disgusting smell?' I used to drive 1hr out from Irvine to Rosemead just to get fresh jerky from here to take home to my parents. It's a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it especially when it's fresh off the grill and still hot. The classic pork and beef are by far the two best flavors. My only complaint is that for some reason, the store always smells disgusting, but the same at both locations. I don't know what they're using or if this is just a byproduct of cooking, but the smell is pretty nasty as soon as you walk in. You get used to it though in about 5 minutes. That said, don't let the smell divert you away. This jerky is SO damn good. read more

Pricing is not bad for fresh grilled jerkies. My fav is the spicy bacon It's not super spicy. Very flavorful with a kick. I don't normally like jerkies because they are too tough but since these are fresh. They are super tender. Although the pork jerkies are still much more tender than their beef jerkies. When you get half a pound they also come in a very nice gift bag sealed which is perfect to gift away. read more

Freshly made jerkies! Nothings beats the fresh~ As beef and pork jerky lover, this store is my new found gem. If you like the sweet and savory combo, you'd enjoy their style of jerky since they tend to be on the sweeter side. I've tried their spicy bacon & peppered beef jerky. Both were great. The quality of the meat and the seasoning were great~ The bacon jerky was great when I heated them up in my airfryer~ (not too long, did it for like couple of min) It sorta becomes the candied bacon texture and great to snack on. Peppered jerky can use little more pepper (personal preference) but it was soft and yummy! They cut the meat and package them in the ziploc bags. The only downside of the jerky = They put some sorta oil on them to prevent them from sticking so you will have the sticky fingers after grabbing these out of the bag. It didn't bother me but my hubs was little irked by it. So if you're thinking about taking a long drive or hiking, looking for a different gift, or just craving jerky for snacking, you need to check them out. read more

Finally it's open and I'm so excited to learn that they'll be offering other goodies in another month or so. I usually go to the store front in the SGV and the owner there mentioned a while back about opening up a location in my neck of the woods. The jerky here is so fresh and delicious. The great thing about it is that it's so tender and they can cut the jerky into manageable pieces. Plus when you tell them how much you want they won't try to make you pay for more like the other jerky places by shoving extra and sealing the bag to make you feel guilty. read more

Excellent jerky! I tried and bought the spicy bacon jerky. They are flame-grilled and they make them fresh onsite! It's the best jerky I've ever had. You can really taste the quality. The sign says they will start doing BBQ ducks, pork, etc. soon. Hope they will sell lunch boxes with BBQ meats. read more

This place has good jerky, not the best but it will do if you want some Asian flavor jerky. Customer service isn't the best, but just like any other Chinese place you come and get your food and leave. It's a niche market.
